Found two, both CD`s would not eject. I think it`s a lost cause and will recommend to him a modern aftermarket radio.

I dunno what the problem is. My CDs been stuck for ages now. :duh:

Trying to drag myself back to class doesn't help with all these holidays in between. Breaks the rhythm :sleepy:

I think the one I have may still work. It's the 6 disc right? I'll try to power it up on a bench and let you know.

Was supposed to go to mom's to put together a new desk but came down with a cold. Don't want her to catch it.

Took the day off to run some errands with the wife. Went to Home Depot to pick up some additional 1 1/2" PVC Pipe to extend the Sump Pump drain from the outside of the house and stopped by (Wally world, of course) a few other places.

Also had a new Windshield installed by Safelite in our DD 06 Impala this morning...

Company policy makes technicians clean all windows after the work is complete, made a comment to the guy how well the cleaner they use works. A few minutes later he approached me at the garage with a full can of the stuff and said it's yours!...

I was like sweet! Had already planned to tip him when he was finished since he was courteous and took care with my vehicle but that made it even better. It's the little things in life.

Working on the house some more. Put shutoff valves to the bath/shower (really, why wouldn't you just put those in to begin with?), then started cutting away the drywall from around the surround to find they had stuck plywood or boards or something behind the drywall, butted up against the surround, all the way to the ceiling. Well, ok... Spacer so the drywall doesn't have any risk of bowing/cracking as it goes over the nail edge of the surround? No idea, but it makes it a little more interesting of a project.

Also replaced the dying T12 ballast in the one fixture in the kitchen with a T8 ballast to match the other fixture. I was going to rip both fixtures out, redo the ceiling, and put in cans, but, now that I'm in the process of getting the house ready for sale, well, I'm not putting that much work into it with everything else that has to be done!

Chopped up and removed the old tub + shower surround. Found the mice over the years had used the space below and behind the tub as their own personal bathroom. What a disgusting mess that was to clean up.

Just bending a tacoed tablet back flat, that somehow didn't have a shattered screen. No biggie.

Got home from work and changed the Oil on the DD 06 Impala...
20170829_165812.jpg
As you can see both of our vehicles take the same Oil Filter :2thumbsup:, which is nice. And also pictured is the vehicles custom Vehicle Maintenance Logs/Sheets, got tired of writing it all down in a pocket sized composition book.

Next oil change, just over 300k miles! We have owned since 06 an it had just over 26k miles when we bought it, still on the original Engine, Tranny and alot of other parts. It's been a excellent vehicle for us. Hope to get the same or similar with the 04 TB which I imagine we will with the way I am with maintenance.

Out with the old :wooot:........been waiting for this day.

Poorly mismatched system anyway, was here when we moved in, mediocre at best in humidity removal.

Still functions, but I'm not going to let it leave me hanging either. Going to cut my losses and go with a much more efficient system.

Really toying with the idea of buying an 06 SWB LT 5.3 Trailblazer in the area. Part of me REEEEEALLY wants it and the responsible me says to save money. It is basically my ideal version of as TB without going SS.

Buy it and sell your current ride. The 5.3 is way more satisfying, trust me

That was what I was thinking. I would buy this, swap over my current speakers and head unit.

My current 4.2 is in pretty rough shape. No A/C. Need front bumper cover, new headlight (mount is messed up), new grill and a drivers side front quarter panel. Last time I let the wife drive it a few years ago. Looks rough but runs good. I figured I can swap a few things and find one of those places that give you $500 for a junker. That is probably what I would get after doing all that work myself anyways.

Here is a link to the one I am eyeballing

Figured I had better get the basics down again before I even thought of getting into the wiring up a Relay game.

I use to be pretty good at Soldering when I was younger, but seem to loss my with it.

Have a safe Labor Day everyone!

Weekend yard work. Mowed the lawn, trimmed some trees that were venturing too close to the roof (again)

Poured in some BG44k with today's fill up, then headed across town to visit with @DJones for a bit, and pick up a few items he was holding for me from his TB part out. Got a set of the impossible to find, clear lens aftermarket tails with clear reflectors, along with some switchback bulbs and his custom modded circuit boards. Also a Derale PWM fan controller with high pressure side AC switch, from his efan setup. If/when my clutch dies on me, then I'll sip some of the efan Kool Aid, build my own shroud and see what happens.

But for now, these will go in my box of "back burner mods." The LS430 projectors should enjoy having some company for a change.

Labour Day today so everything is closed. All stocked up for booze so I'm good for that . Will finish up an LED light install in the bathroom and then will do another in the hall. Also have to transport my mom's old desk to my older son's place later this afternoon.

Well, went to take a look that that TB today. Dealership decided they wanted to raise the price to $8996 (Window price of $9996). I told them KBB on it said fair price was like $6600 and that the $7296 was a very generous offer on my part considering that was asking price until today. They said they made an error and they put it up for $7296 before doing any research. Salesman went back to talk to the boss about $7296 and came back and said they wouldn't come down from $8996. I immediately got up, shook his hand, said thank you and walked out.

You should of seen the look on the guys face when I did that. He just looked really confused and I am sure it caught him off guard.

I just found it hard to believe that they would say we put it up without doing much research. Obviously, if it was put up for $7296, they knew they would make a reasonable profit off of it. At a sticker price of $9996, not sure how fast it would move. It might be sitting on the lot for a bit or some uneducated buyer could come and pick it up.

Kinda bummed because it had everything and not sure when I will find another one in that option set. I am just not willing to pay above average price for it.
