Working on the house some more. Put shutoff valves to the bath/shower (really, why wouldn't you just put those in to begin with?), then started cutting away the drywall from around the surround to find they had stuck plywood or boards or something behind the drywall, butted up against the surround, all the way to the ceiling. Well, ok... Spacer so the drywall doesn't have any risk of bowing/cracking as it goes over the nail edge of the surround? No idea, but it makes it a little more interesting of a project.
Also replaced the dying T12 ballast in the one fixture in the kitchen with a T8 ballast to match the other fixture. I was going to rip both fixtures out, redo the ceiling, and put in cans, but, now that I'm in the process of getting the house ready for sale, well, I'm not putting that much work into it with everything else that has to be done!
