:-( Not sure if they are glued like a wind shield molding... probably. So then, it might be very difficult to pull out and "re-seat / check". So the next thing that I would try is get the...

budwich replied to the thread Window Doesn't Sit Right.
One guess might be that the window at one time didn't seat properly and was left in the "smooshed" mode for a long while and / or exposed to the sun / heat thereafter which basically set weather...

If you do it systematically, you can trace either from front to back or vice-versa. I'd go from the horn for power and ground, if no power, then do the relay jump and check for power at the relay...

Just one thing about cranking and it doesn't start. It will keep cranking for about 10-15 seconds if it doesn't start and then stops. Don't know the official name but I call it "flick start"...
    • B
Yes, that engine ground IS the MAIN ground for the system as it handles the "high current" needs for cranking among other things. You likely have some other issues therein related if the thing...

The neg battery cable has a frame connection before it connects to the block,I checked to make sure grounds were tight on the block. I moved the secured neg cable and it cranks,I suspect the cable...

Rather "strange". Doesn't sound like the wiring / grounds are right. Maybe you forgot something being connected during some of your earlier testing and now its coming into play. Is the theft...

I meant to say that you AREN'T getting proper power to bcm.

budwich replied to the thread Intermittent horn.
The problem that I found is that there is some form of grease (maybe dielectric but I don't think so) which gums up the contact area on the "wiper" which then prevents the circuit from operating...

that is likely telling you that you are getting power to the bcm.

check your fuses AND since you checked the pcm for power... check BCM power also.

Well think i figured it out... The most recent time i can remember relearning the system was when i cleaned TB and did valve/intake gaskets. My CAT plugged up some time after i did that...

Interesting capture. I figure it must be cold in Min. at this time. Quite likely then, that an "unloaded" vehicle running at highway speed may not see "normal operating temp" (192) for much /...

Very interesting results here guys, couple red flags here on my 2002 Trailblazer even though she runs like a top, easily gets 16+ minimum and if its highway 21mpg no problem. First noticed...

had not seen the pattern in stft? how else do you think the o2 would result in a fluctuation. That can only be caused by a changing fuel input or valve issue. Anyway, IF your stft is not...

budwich replied to the thread Throttle Position %?.
that is how it is supposed to work. The upstream O2 "waggle" which results in the system "waggling" the fueling. The system is operating in "closed loop" which is kind of in "feedback" mode...

the pids are the parameters that a given display is showing.... in torque, you point at a specific pid in the table of manageable pids to cause the dial / display to show.... which one did you...

budwich replied to the thread Throttle Position %?.
which PID are you using? Based on my monitoring of my 2008, at warm idle, I see higher values. I would say that the system is trying to "lean out" your fueling... meaning it is trying to...

As I said earlier, your grids are all likely broken under the bakelite rubbed by the weatherstripping. That's why you're not getting any ground or power in the grid.

You need to do the impedance testing that I suggested at the fuse box to confirm your "grid readings" otherwise, your "sectioning testing" is somewhat "unjust". Actually, can you explain what...

OK.... so just to ensure that you are going "craxy", you need to find the fuse for the defrost. Pull it, then on the side that IS NOT the power feed... check that with a meter for voltage...

what was the impedance that you measured on the grid?

check for continuity to ground to the vehicle body.. could be a broken ground in the hatch-body boot.

Just so you know, @TJBaker57 had experimented with applying full 12v to the fan clutch and burned out a couple of them.
