It has the 3.5l v6, 268 hp. Which for the small size and weight of the car is enough to get it moving really fast really quick.

The TrailBlazer was my first car but I bought my 2nd in about November. A 1971 Ford Mustang convertible in need of repair. It was a very nice car that had an engine fire. Why I settled on one of the least-liked body styles I'm not sure, let alone one that was on fire, but I saw it and got a warm fuzzy feeling about it so I own it. After seeing the car in person I knew I made the right choice. The body lines on this car are just something else; there are sections of it that look very Corvette Stingray-ish. Plus the NASA ram air hood (although its warped from the heat) just looks spectacular. It was a 302 car but it will be replaced with a hot rod 351 Cleveland if I get my way.

How it sits today

How it looked in about July of last year

Damn car guy mentality, always have to have a project. I need to get going on the tear down though, maybe it can be done by this time next year.

I was going to put new brakes and my new wheels on the car but I was dumb and ordered the wrong brakes. Oh well, new wheels went on anyway because I was tired of waiting!

My previous car: what a POS! but I liked it. got GREAT mileage and was every bit as fun and fast as a miata hardtop.

1993 Mazda MX-3 1.6L I4
5 speed manual
hideous 'Z' Racing wheels (that I did not put on the car - they came with it)
K&N filter
Desperate need of a paint job, but I wasn't gonna do that. waste of $$ on a $900 car

Ran and drove great the 2 years I had her, had an issue with a stripped spark plug hole that I fixed, and when I bought it I did shocks, exhaust, & brakes all the way around, and that's it. Finally got rid of it when it developed a REALLY serious ignition timing issue 1-3 cylinder misfire at times - I never fully diagnosed it but I replaced the coil, ICM, Cap & rotor, plugs and wires all to no avail. My thinking was a bad distributor itself. Sold it to some poor kid for $800. His dad was pissed. Kept sayin "it's your money..."

Anyway, here she is. These pics were taken so I could sell it.

1993 ZJ V8 I grabbed dirt cheap. Not sure what I will do with it, but did give it one day of pampering and it changed for the better I think

My current 2nd vehicle, now used for work, is this '04 Sierra 3500, bought new in Sep. '04 as a replacement for the '94 Sierra 2500 big block, that was destroyed when some a'hole ran a red and t-boned it, with my wife driving it, just 3 blocks from home.

Another friends' and my new project, 88 740 Wagon that is getting a Supercharged 5.0 / T5 swap, yeah yeah I know... We are going with the 5.0 because we have 95% of the parts lying around already and we are looking at a sub 2k budget for the entire project. We got this super clean (for a 25 year old Canadian vehicle) for $450 and drove it from the guys house to mine with 0 issues.

So I came across some photos of my Honda Accord from around 2002. Yes it was riced out but TBH it was cool and in style back then lol

Enjoy

I had another Honda Accord at the same time I was building a turbo set up to put in this one. Neither was my daily driver I had a 2005 Sierra (not pictured) for my daily.

This was nowhere near finished. FYI

Alright, I'll bite. I saw all the cool vehicles on here and thought I'd throw in the few I've owned/driven since 2008.

First up, my grandmother's 1992 Ford Tempo. Tiny car, great on gas. Drove it until I saved enough money during high school to buy my own. Sadly, it was totaled by my grandmother as her Alzheimer's set in two years ago.

Ignore the geek in the picture, that was six years ago after all!

DSC01840.JPG

Next was my 1997 Buick LeSabre Limited that was MY first car. Bought it my senior year in 2010, and man was that thing a tank. I owned it until 2013 and sold it since I didn't drive it much anymore. Bought it with 109,000 miles on it, sold it with 125,000 miles on it. Loved that car.
DSC02738.JPG

Bought my TrailBlazer in 2011 after sliding into snow ditches in my Buick on county highways that never got plowed in the winter I regularly drove. I really wanted/needed (same thing, right?) something with 4x4. Still own it to this day and love it. Bought it with 85,000 miles on it, today it is almost at 109,000 miles. I was extremely happy to pay it off a little over a year ago
DSC03043.JPG

Lastly, my other toy that I bought last October (that I share the street with my Trailblazer) is this 1997 Chevy K1500 Silverado, 5.7 liter Z71. I have been in need of a work truck for weekend/hunting/other adventures, and my father's 1988 K1500 was being used more by him. So I picked this beaut up with 145,000 miles on it, and today it is about to hit 150,000. Downside was I had to get the intake manifold gaskets done within the first month of owning, but it's been solid since.
048.JPG
Future vehicles? Once I establish myself career wise, I'd really like to get a late 70s/early 80s K10 pickup and K5...but that will require much more money to maintain/restore I think...

The 9-7X is my fourth car (which makes me a total noob as I see here  ). Of the previous three (1998 9-3, 2000 Volvo V40, 1998 9-5) I've owned the only one that's worth showing off is the 9-5  (some 2 years old pic)
tUmLHZX.jpg

It was the Griffin model, which I believe was not available in the US. It had the asymetrically turbocharged V6 (which was used in the V6 SE sold in the US) and in terms of features it was basically the most expensive and luxurious Saab offered at that time. Specific wheels not available on other trims, ventilated seats as standard (first car in the world to have them, even Merc had to pay royalties to Saab to use the patent). Saab even had a network of "Griffin Circle" clubs for rich customers  I, of course, bought the car when it was quite old, but it ran and served exceptionally well.
The V6 had a beautiful sound and the small turbo provided enough boost to make it lively and at the same time it was not noisy. It was the ultimate sleeper car, a perfect freeway cruiser. The only "problem" was that it had a heavy engine up front and it was FWD with a comfy suspension = going through curves was not something it would be very good at, definitely not compared to a 9-7X with its harder suspension and RWD.

My 2010 Maxima 3.5 with winter rims and tires. It has the sport package, 19" rims, sports suspension, hid headlights with black leather interior. Color is crimson black and it changes in the Sun. Generally is parked in the garage for the winter but I do put snow tires on just in case we have to drive it. It hadn't seen any snow or salt this season until last week when I had to drive it to work one day. Ran it through the car wash and put it back in the garage.20160216_085646.jpg 20160216_085707.jpg

2014-04-20 20.01.16-1.jpg My old lady 1995 Range Rove 4.0 se. Loved it but it was such a money pit. One of the easiest v8 I've ever had to work on though. The parts prices are insane though. I 2 tuned her with factory Roman bronze and black 2 yrs before I gave her away.
