Some drunk bastard crossed the yellow lines because he was picking up his coffee cup he dropped and took out the van in front of me then took me out. I've had zero respect/tolerance for drinking and driving (by any level) since.
1986 Grand Prix - 305, T-top, stock. LOVED that car.

In 2007 I traded in the Civic (got $12000 for it) and bought harmless (2006 TBSS).
The rest, as they say, is history.

*Came home from the Stan July 4, 2006 I could write (and have been contemplating writing) a book about that day. The cliff notes version; Wife used power of attorney to take EVERYTHING. All I had was my military gear and my dog. No money, no Jeep, no Boat, no Bike, nada. She was already pregnant and showing. She was kind enough to leave me a CD-R with all the pictures and video of all the guys she slept with while I was gone starting in 2002 and included my best friend. Took a lot not to shoot her. But, I went down to the Chevy dealership. They were the only dealership open on the 4th of July. I needed to get back to Ft. Stewart on the 6th. I told the dealer what happened and he brought out the manager. Same thing happened to MGR in Gulf War. The gave me my TB for $16,000.00 out the door, it was stickered for $28k. The 16 was all my new bank (USAA) would allow. That truck and I saw more action and did more overnights and camp outs then I can ever recall. I just lifted it last week and she just hit 96k miles yesterday. Love this truck.

Steve-O said:Wiggles... Yeah it was tough. Called my buddy who was a cop in town and just had him be my shadow while I was there. Once I got back on base I was wrapped up in post deployment stuff and moving into on base housing.
DJ... That sucks man. I saw it happen to too many guys my 1st time in Iraq. Never thought I'd ever get it. Guess you learn.
