Just woke up from my last night shift. Trying to get enough energy to make myself some breakfast and then head out to thoroughly check out the Battleship and the faulty ABS sensor and do an oil change since it has the reminder sticker says it was due Mar. 2016. Although the oil has only 1500km, it's been in there too long. Might even give it a flush just because.

Starting to watch The FrankInjector Machine on Youtube by
MRRSM. So far I must be the first to watch this video since it shows "no views", but after watching it still shows no views! ba-humbug.

At work. Just finished replacing a leaking busted up shower body in a little over an hr. Not bad bad considering it's a 17 story building and we have to drain the line down before any work can be done.

At work, then to an appointment this evening.

Got some brilliant (possibly stupid) mod ideas for the truck, to address something I've been wanting to do for 2 years :lightbulb:

Finishing the work week. New guy started yesterday which is great as that will help my workload once he's trained up. Soon I'll be able to finally get some stuff done that has been put off for at least a year as I should have the time to do it!

Had a half day because I can. Got my hairs cut and am going to cut the grass to free up the weekend a bit.

Decided to finally do some in-home modding, that I had been putting off for a hot minute now. Since I'm moving next month, and everyone hates being picked to help me carry my heavy ass sofa sleeper (which no one uses, cuz it's uncomfortable as hell) I've been wanting to remove the bed altogether. A little less awkward to carry, and not nearly as heavy. I bought a bunch of stuff back in winter, couple 6' lengths of angled steel, 4 steel brackets, wood screws, and some plywood.

Took some twists and turns, and extensions with the drill to get the bed out, but no blood spilled, so that's always a good thing.

Got the brackets screwed in, and angled steel bolted down. Preliminary weight test was good, little bit of flexing but not much. Was considering adding a 5th foot in the middle, connected to the 2 lengths of steel, but I think I may pass on that now.

Drilled some holes in the plywood, fitted some machine screws lined up with the slots in the steel. Washers and nuts to secure things in place, and that's a wrap.

I may take the steel out and lower them another inch or so, things are a LOT more firm than I expected them to be, so some foam padding may be necessary to soften things up again. :undecided:

Re-modded the couch. Dropped the frame and base 4" (as low as I could go) and then crammed the mattress up inside the couch back to fill the void there, and act as a pad for the cushions. Just barely fit, and now it's nice and comfy to sit on again. :2thumbsup:

So now I will clean the living room up, take a shower and then binge watch some DVR for the rest of the day.

Another night shift, which will be extra long because I have to stay till 7 instead of finishing at 3. Nice overtime but the body will suffer.

Garden mods. Doing a container style garden because soil here is clay/sand and sucks. Already had 4 tomato plants and a set of cucumbers (5 plants bought in one pot from store) going. Planted in the cheapest potting soil available with chicken manure and gypsum added. Mulched around them to keep weeds down and retain moisture. Added a different breed of cucumbers (9 plants in this pot!) after reading bad reviews on the others from last year and planted some yellow squash.

Hoping for a decent turn out if I can keep enough discipline to feed/water regularly. Usually have good turnouts just half-assing but this year I'm gonna try to stay on it and see how green my thumb actually is.

Funny thing is I don't really eat vegetables myself but highly enjoy growing them because I've always had a knack for it.
