Replaced the front struts on a friend's 08 Sienna. Passenger front spring snapped on them late last week. Apparently from a Google search it isn't all that uncommon for those springs to break off when the struts get worn. Guess I'm just spoiled by GM's rather tough springs that only seem to need replaced because they sag, not snap.

Easy enough job to do, although we had to pull the wiper cowl to get to the strut towers (another strange design choice). Not hard, just weird. It uses the same ball joint style of sway end links as the GMT360, and yes, they loosen up and clunk, and yes, the allen wrench hole strips out...

Swapped my ratchets at Sears. Got one rebuilt 1/4" and brand new 3/8" and 1/2" ratchets. The new ones notably were missing "USA" from the handles. Expected as much, but still...

Can't get together with the GF as she is busy, which may be a good thing as I have stuff I really do need to get done around the house that I keep putting off.

Going to get my girl, go out to eat, then spend the rest of the day painting various things on the rig. Starting with blacking out the wheels well so they look brand new and repainting the door handles.
