I'm working this evening but today is my wife's birthday so we are going to spend the first half of the day with our son. There is an amusement park that is near us that we are gonna take our little guy to. Gonna head there this morning cuz it's spose to get hot later today. Then packing tonight after work for our trip to St. Louis this weekend.

At work replacing 2 exhaust fan motors on the roof. Came across these to guys in the distance almost forming a perfect X.
That's the east river here in nyc you'll see toward the bottom of the pic.

Off work today and tomorrow. So far today I have modded the truck a little bit, gotten a few odds and ends for the AC, and now the AC guy is here hooking up the lines! Woohoo!

Working for awhile, revamping and updating a machine we built for Ford's powerstoke diesel

Hopefully getting a call from my buddy on getting a dumpster over to my house so I can commence Operation Demolition. I decided that instead of just having the master be the only remodeled (deplastered/updated everything) room in the place, my dad and I are going to gut the entire place and basically just start from scratch. This is going to be fun

Topped of the washer fluid the light been flashing for the last 2 weeks.lol. And finally notices my bumper on the envoy got clipped. Fing student drivers in my area I gotta put a camera in my ride for that someday. Oh and picked up the stuff I need for a trash can delete.

Got the F150s windows tinted this morning, much better. Working on installing the retro headlights, flasher relay, and LED turn signals.

Going to try out my smoker for the first time while I am working in the garage and of course drinking some brews.

Just finished up lowering my edge today. Love it!!!! The ride is so much better than the ss had. The ss was a little too stiff. This is stiff but not nearly as low either. I still miss my pig. :sadcry:

Was on the way to visit mom at the physical rehab place and the Mustang blew a hose. Fixed it in the parking lot at the gas station after a guy went and got me a hose. Still some nice people out there that'll lend a hand.

Now after an hour detour I'm visiting with mom and about to go home to wash her some clothes.

Smoked a couple racks of ribs in the new smoker.

Did some work on the fog lights. Shimmed the angle and also got rid of all the butt connectors and used the new solder iron.

Wired in the MotoControl harness and installed the retroed headlights on the F150. I am impressed with all the color in the MMH1 cutoff.

In the cube after hydroplaning on the way to work this morning  With all the rain we're having, there's been some standing water on the roads that don't usually flood. This is one of the times having wider tires is no bueno. TB still handled it pretty well, and thankfully I drive against the main flow of rush hour traffic, so when I felt the front wheels lift from the pavement and start drifting to one side or the other, there was a lot less worry.

Did notice on the wet pavement at a stoplight, how my HIDs didn't put much light on the ground. Having read that was the case with PNP on wet asphalt, that's just another reason to get back on the retrofit bandwagon.

The cooler light color of HIDs tends to get lost on wet pavement easier even in projectors it seems.

I was planning on switching to 4300K eventually, so that should be better. As an update to my previous post, an announcement was just made, that everyone can (meaning SHOULD) go home, since there's more reported flooding all over town, and in the neighboring counties. :ugh:

I wasn't too worried, since I'm not in a flood zone, and although there's a big pond that wraps around 2 sides of my place, the street level is a few feet above the normal water line, and my house is a couple of feet above the street level. But, it's supposed to keep pouring like this all damn day. Things could get interesting...

My street doesn't have sewer drains, the water drains into the pond at the end of it. The water is starting to back up into the street... :undecided:

20150803_101718.jpg

Decided to do a check around the side and back of the house. The drain outside my kitchen/2nd bedroom is starting to back up a bit, water level is maybe 6-8" higher than usual.

20150803_101919.jpg

Out back, the pond is up over the bank and into the grass. I've got maybe 2 feet of room before I'll start getting worried. Things will be interesting for the next few hours.

We're supposed to have dry weather for a little while, and the water around my house has receded a bit. Can't say the same for people closer to the gulf.

Decided to take the plunge on Windows 10 for my laptop. I don't loathe 8.1 like some do, but I definitely prefer 7 more. So if I end up liking 10, then I'll put it on my other computers. Time will tell.

Will be modding my PS3 after work, as the fan controller should come in the mail today. Only getting a couple days use out of it, as the desk fan doesn't keep it from getting to hot to touch for very long.

Did some research, to get the parts and equipment to repair it right, vs having a local place reball it, vs buying a refurbished unit from the local GameStop aren't too different in price. So depending on how it does over the next week or so will determine what happens next.

Welp... Tried Windows 10, and it was a FAIL. No network connections detected by either the Wifi or hard line. Go check the device manager, and both driver's are installed and listed as working properly. Disabled/re-enabled and uninstalled drivers. No go. Go to the HP website, and they say for W10 drivers, use Windows Update. Can't very well do that when I can't get on the internet now can I? :hissyfit:

Thankfully there's a Go Back feature, and went back to 8.1.
