What are you doing today?

Wife is heading to NC this weekend so I got up early and did a once over on the F150. Had to air up the tires and add a little engine oil. Also, soldered in a new 194 socket for the 3rd brake light which is now working again. Need to buy two more 194 sockets for the cargo lights at each end of the 3rd brake light since they are deteriorated almost as bad, but still functional. The sockets crumble when taking them out or installing

Now at work for the rest of the evening.

Working as always. I've been putting in 10 hour days here, and 6 hours after that in the shop trying to get caught up before winter. I can tell you that after 6 weeks of this schedule I'm ready for a vacation.

Miserable with this high weed pollen count. I've taken 4 Benadryl through the day, and the nose is still running, all F'n DAY!

I am going to help my brother and his friend tear into their Neon, seems 35psi of boost was possibly a bit much for the bottom end....

A buddy is getting married next weekend so since I pretty much have nothing to wear (said dress clothes are not required just casual), might as well try and go look for some clothes (I know I sound like a woman but I do not have anything casual). Might go look at Cabelas or Gander Mountain. Then, working today and probably taking the wife and little guy to a local county fair.

Avoiding work in the cube for the next several hours, and trying to see how much I can mod my bank account, before I pass out.

Pricing flights to Phoenix for Thanksgiving, it's been a few years since I've flown, forgot how expensive of a proposition it was. :ugh:

Very likely buying a Tens unit to help with back and shoulder pain as they've been highly recommended by some coworkers and friends in the medical field. Plus it's WAY cheaper than an inversion table, and it's portable.

Have had my eye on a few hot air, solder rework stations, and think I found the one I want to pull the trigger on. One of the SMD LEDs in my rear view mirror is acting sporadic, and swapping those with an iron tip was annoying the first time around. After I get that, will be putting my current adjustable temp solder station up for sale, if anyone was considering getting one.

Also been pricing IAT sensors locally. When I get home I'm gonna try to drop the skid plate and hope that my sensor is pinned on it underneath something else, and that's why I couldn't get to it yesterday. But if not... I'll have to drop some coin to replace. What's funny, Scangauge said my IAT was -40f on the drive to work. May be coincidence, but it idled and felt smoother than usual

Couple of other odds and ends that I've needed to get, but have been putting off. But seeing as I'm gonna be dropping money this weekend, might as well do it all at once and work on healing from the pain of it all later at the same time.

Depending on how much of a hurry you are in to sell that soldering station I might be interested in it.

Enjoying another weekend off. Wife is gone to NC for the weekend, so its just the dog and I. Doing a few chores then whatever I want
What times the party? :rotfl:

I'm working a little bit today. Bought a TV wall hanger for our 55" Vizio so we can hang it up in our living room. Our son is freaking us out with how he friggin climbs up on everything and don't need to have him climb up and have the TV lose it's balance and crush him.

Then there is a local fair that we might head to tonight. It's gonna be in the mid-90s today so we'll see how the temperature is later today. It's a decent fair and since we didn't make it last night, I guess we will try tonight.

Probably will also be doing a little eBay searching for unnecessary things that I want to buy but do not need.

Baking bread, making sweet mustard pickles and lemon cordial, then working at Lowes.

Spent a couple hours getting some health insurance info corrected. I was missing my new cards, and they had my incorrect DOB on file so I couldn't request them online :compu-punch:

Buddy of mine needed some help. He stopped at the gas station 2 blocks from work on his way in, and locked his keys, wallet, and cell in the damn car  :dunce: :hopeless: So he needed me to drive him across town so he could get the spare from his fiance. Nice little field trip to break up the day.

As a thank you, he offered to buy me some gas, and take me to lunch. Got back to the station, pull up to the pump to fill up. Since I wasn't paying attention and running my mouth, I topped off the tank with 87 instead of 89 :duh: At least it was less than a quarter tank, so no big deal.

Setup appointment with attorney

No party. Just a nice relaxing weekend with the dog.
Sometimes those are better anyways.

I worked today and now I'm home just relaxing. Had some storms come through earlier today that killed the power a few times at work. :hissyfit: However, it sure cooled things off. Might have to open the windows tonight and get some fresh air in the house.

Yea...this was a waste of time since it turned out the new printer needs some work before i even get to use it...Ironically enough i thought my old printer was pretty much dead...turns out it works just fine...blah...

Very significant incident and 1st time it has happened at this plant. One of the production coordinators was manipulating one of our robots that loads the piston sleeve into the engine block. The robot had faulted out and while he was manually maneuvering the robot to clear the fault, he crushed his left arm between the engine block and 13L piston sleeve. The piston sleeve was in the robot's gripper. This robot is about 7' tall and has lots of power.

Another day of cube life. Doctor's appointment this afternoon. Figured I haven't been to one in about 5 years, and I'm no spring chicken anymore, better start getting regular checkups and stuff.

 Holy crap!! I feel for that guy. That reminds me of an incident one of our clients had last year. In their distribution centers, they have AGVs (automatic guided vehicles) running around loading and offloading pallets of stuff. Their travel lanes are marked, so people stay out of the way, and they have bumpers with sensors, so if they hit something, they stop until they are reset.

They had a 2 part problem. A worker was near some shelves that an AGV was coming to put some stuff on, and hit him. The software failed to interpret the signal from the sensors in the bumper, so it didn't stop. It knocked him down, rolled over him, crushing one of his legs and then got stuck there. :sadcry:
