I would have bought that. Would take the big axles off the burban and make it a woods beater and put the small axles under the burben for cruising. I love K5s

The floor pan is spray foam and the frame is Swiss cheese. The steering column snapped trying to get it on the trailer too. The front part of the frame was torched to get the plow off too. It was too far gone for anything. Sunroof leaked like a fountain too.

All but the frame would have been fine... Poor k5. they are getting fewer and fewer

Guy at the yard was interested. He moved it to the side. It was replaced with a 90. Had the 305 not thrown a rod it would still be there.

Spent most of the day getting caught up on a backlog of work from my vacation. Tomorrow I'll get started on a couple new projects that came in this week.

Got home and noticed my gates looked funny from down the street. Pulled up in front of them and the inside corner of one had a huge gap. Turns out the wind last night had rattled the gates enough that one of the hinge brackets slid down just enough to let go from one of the pins. Got that put back on, and really torqued down the hinge bolts. The drop rod I put in, may need some modding so it goes deeper into the ground, it had a small bend in it due to giving way in the wind.

Just finished dinner, and relaxing on the couch in front of the TV.

Meant to take some pics yesterday, but while I was out of the office, a couple of the girls thought it would be funny to prank me, and cling wrap a bunch of the stuff in my office. I'll admit, I was caught off guard by it, but it was funny and there were some good laughs about it. Also helped that I have a blade on my key chain, so it was easy to put in a quick slice in and peel everything off in one shot, rather than having to find the end, and unwrap everything that way.

Hey,...isn't that the 7 cylinder 5.7 towing that rig ? Always had a soft spot for K5's as well,....if you can find one thats NOT swiss cheese.

Did the maintenance on my sled and now out on my first ride if the season. Stopped at the regular eatery and had dinner. Will be heading back home soon.

No that's the godlike 6.0 with 200k. Even with the weighted total of the truck and trailer being 16k it just laughed at the weight. Really feels the same as the 19ft boat and that's hysterical. Those trucks tow so nice.

Moved the vette outside so we can redo the laundry room. We need space for the junk to move.

In the cube but sinuses are bitching and might make me take off tomorrow cause my head is killing me

Since New Jersey currently has around 5 inches of snow where I am, I guess I’m gonna be plowing in a little while as well as later tonight too. Saw my truck briefly last night but my dad took it to work this morning because of the snow. Guess his little 4 banger “putt putt” equinox isn’t the car he wants to drive in this weather. Or he just feels cooler in my truck.

Glad the weekend is starting. Got some things organized around the house after work, made some chicken wraps for dinner. Watching some TV now, but will hit the grocery store in a bit. May watch some movies tonight, or hop on the PS4 for a while.

Still trying to figure out why my square key opened the door lock...

Just finishing up packing my son's stuff and running to get tools for him going to college to learn heavy diesel. Most were easy to find but one I didn't find was a 5/16 deep socket in 3/8 drive. Did find an 8mm deep in 3/8 drive as they listed. They don't have any 1/4 drive sockets at all listed.

And I'm preparing myself for the onslaught of empty nest syndrome from my wife :sadcry:

Smoking a chook for dinner later...it's currently 0°.

Went to the house, packed up stuff to stash away on the shelves at the townhouse (how did I still have that much left?!), and threw a few trash bags of misc stuff in the bed of the truck to dispose of in the dumpster. Then I sat down in the basement of the townhouse with the shredder we just picked up and shredded several years worth of papers I had never shredded because I never owned a shredder before now. That took a while, so I had a beer while shredding stuff. Why not.

Worked on my brother shop some electrical 3 phase 220 upgrades and lots of pipe sweating. The main popped with the cold as fudge weather we are having. Called the water company and they came out with in 3hrs and got that done. There was a bunch of points that broke through out the shop and some stuff we had to reroute/relocate. 20180106_154643.jpg

We water pressure tested the line and no leaks. Tomorrow he will start insulating all the lines.

Went out back to rescue a handful of my spiky palm trees at the rear of the property. Noticed the other day that a lot of vines had worked their way up to the crowns, and weren't allowing them to open. Took a good hour cutting those up, and pulling them out of the trees and untangling them from the fence. Picked up some more ant nest killer, so fed my fitbit some steps as I walked the property sprinkling that stuff down on the numerous hills that I came across.

I had ordered some lift gate struts forever ago, but hadn't put them in yet. Thanks to our recent temp drop, they have been to cold to hold the gate up most of the time, compared to before where I had to push it all the way to the top and it would hold, and I could close it with minimal effort. Now it springs open nicely. Should have gotten the glass struts too, but I rarely ever open the glass so...

:undecided: You know what, I need one of these too

Called off work to die today.

Working a little from home but that's about it. When the interstate I have to take to work is a crawl at 6 AM and the roads are slicker than a greased pig, it ain't worth it.

In school after a fun weekend in the Poconoes.. Slept 2 separate times in class today.

Maybe ill throw a cold start video on the Duramax since it was in the single digits last night and it hasn’t been started since Saturday.

Been sick since Thursday but back in the cube and feeling pretty good.

Heres that cold start i was talking about.. nothing like a cold diesel starting up.

Back at work spreading the love...

Back at work.

Coffee and work
