Busy day today. Left work an hour early to come home and conduct a phone interview for a potential new gig. Went really well, and now I have to have my game on point for the in person interview later this week. Need this gig in the worst way, so anyone who prays, please do so for your boy!! Need all the good vibes I can get right now.

After rush hour calmed down, headed to Lowe's (I think I know damn near the whole staff as much as I've been there in the last month) and picked up this high velocity fan. It got some good reviews for moving a bunch of air even on the lowest speed setting. I plan to use it to get some breeze in my garage when I'm working on the truck. Some people said it can cool down the garage drastically by itself. I'm currently testing this theory right now...

I got it setup next to the driver's door, blowing towards the rear of the garage/truck. Standing by the passenger tail light, I can still feel a good breeze and it's not insufferable, although still pretty warm. So we'll see how it goes...

Working extra late today. Have a bunch of network/system updates and upgrades to do after hours tonight. Hoping I won't be here too terribly late but you never know, last time I was here until 3 AM

Being thankful I bought that HV fan and have a garage to tinker on the TB in, even if it's a little cramped and a challenge to park so I can open the doors on both sides.

A rain storm came in a bit earlier than forecast, and hit hard and fast!

Glad to stay dry, now I've got a load of laundry in, and some leftovers in the oven. Gonna press my shirt for tomorrow's interview after that, then chill on the couch for some DVR time.

After breakfast, heading down to Ogdensburg NY to pick up a ton of parts ordered to replace my cam and lifters. Probably will shop a little and have some lunch there.

Back at work. Had an interview this morning with a lead process analyst and director of special projects. Thought it went well. Spoke with my recruiter who found the gig for me at lunch time, she said feedback from the company was all positive and encouraging. They will wait to talk to HR who was out of the office today, before making a final decision but it sounds like it's pretty much a done deal. Fingers crossed!

It is my free weekend from hanging out with mom at her house (were doing her elder care at home). Either going to the forecastle bourbon festival or maintenance on the envoy.

Replaced shocks on the vette and did a fuel filter change. Took way longer than it should have and everything fought me.

Haven't been on for a bit but I did get fired from Zios Friday morning. I didn't do anything wrong, one of my floor managers lied his ass off in the manager notebook. My GM basically had to belive him over me since he's a manager. Spent the day trying to find a new job but it hasn't been easy.

Im sorry to hear you lost your job like that. I bet the next gig you find will be better than zios.
Thanks brotha! I'm trying to get out of the restaurant industry until I can leave for the Air Force.

Nah, it's a midwest chain of restaurants. I worked there for two years up until Friday. It was my first job, walked out in tears. Mostly because it bothered me so much that someone would lie to get another man fired. Sad.

Well, I installed my new to me TCCM and that didn't cure my 4x4 issue at all. So I ordered a Doorman from O'riley that should be there around noon tomorrow. I also tried installing my light bar brackets and that didn't go well either.
Tomorrow's a new day, and we'll be back at it!

I also got calls for an initial interview at the Broadmoor Hotel (doesn't seem all that promising really) and an interview at the local King Soopers being a bagger/cart guy, which seems more promising.

Stay positive and aim high big dog! The goodies on the top branches taste a lot sweeter than the low hanging fruit does.

Thanks brotha! I really want the job at the Broadmoor. Mostly because employees are allowed to park in the underground parking garage. :rotfl:

Seriously though, who can say they've worked at a 5 star world renowned hotel? That's something that would look good on a resume

Replacing the A/C compressor in my wife's '03 Accord. It's just the coil but it's tight in there to try and do it still connected and I have a whole compressor.

FAIL! 3 out of 4 bolts were seized solid and of course, two of them were right behind the frame so not accessible by ratchet. Gave up and put it all back together. When I sat down in front of the car in disgust, I noticed that all the condenser fins were GONE! Only the crooked tubes were left but it held refrigerant. It would have been all for nothing.

Made a run to the grocery store, then hit up Harbor Freight for a deep well socket set, and some stepped drill bits since they were on sale with a coupon. Now at the crib, got some ground turkey and spicy ground sausage thawing out so I can make some spaghetti later.

Wish I could hit up the Elkhart meet (kinda far though :bonk:), I guess my inner meet bug is starting to feel fidgety. May put out some feelers about a fall bay area meet soon and see if I get any bites. :undecided:
