Me and Brandon installed his wife's new amp, sub, and single DIN at like 2 in the morning for her EXT. She has no idea, it's a surprise for her birthday.

2 weeks at the new gig in the books, got half a paycheck yesterday since I started in the middle of a pay cycle, figured might as well use it right? Paying some CC and Paypal bills right now, will have a little bit leftover, so will be making a Harbor Freight and Home Depot run later, fill up the 25g tank on the way home.

Will play the rest of my Saturday by ear.

At first glance, I was like "Why the hell did it take you guys until 2am to finish a mod like that?" :rotfl: That's a pretty cool surprise, hope you can get a pic (or better yet, video) of her reaction, so you can all laugh years later.

Yeah, that last new job was just a temporary stop gap, so I could be a little picky with a job back in my field, and not have to collect unemployment in the meantime.

It's only 5 miles from home (the last 2 jobs were 4 miles) but before, I was always heading the opposite direction as rush hour traffic, where now, I'm going along with everyone else and their kids (school started on Wednesday) MPGs on the SGII are usually no higher than 10 :sadcry:

One of these days, I'll probably make another post in the reality thread to ramble about it. I've got lotsa material, that's for damn sure.

Changed the oil in the "Nali" and realized that I had the wrong filter for the 5.3, bought it a while ago and I must have grabbed one for the 4.2.
Wally World was good and exchanged for the correct one, so I bought another 5qts. of Mobil 1 to show my gratitude......plus it's pretty cheap there:2thumbsup: Mike.

Stopped by the Perry Ellis outlet store that's near my house, on the way home today. Needed some new dress socks, since a couple pairs needed to be retired. What's staring at me when I pull up? "At least 60% off everything in the store (other than cologne)" :duh: I thought to myself "This could get expensive quick if I'm not careful"

Managed to only pick up a 5 pack assortment of patterned socks, for $12. But I did wander around a little bit. Saw some shirts I think I might like, in some colors I don't have. Hmm... :undecided: Then of course the lady working tells me the same lasts through the end of the weekend... Quit trying to tempt me! Do not need a wardrobe mod bug being born right now!!

Working and still looking for a van.

The Traverse requires the third row to be partially laid down to fit a stroller. Pretty stupid design for a 3 row vehicle since it limits passengers then. Prolly buy a foreign van cause GM does not have anything and Chrysler is trash.

At the job listening to BS phone meeting.

She wants a honda, but damn do they hold their value and cost a shit-ton even older and with mileage. Looking at Yota one tonight in Dayton I think

We are going to see a Sienna at 5 in dayton. The 8 passenger version.

We have 3 kids, her mom has 3 foster kids now and her sister has 3 kids. Cant fit enough car seats and strollers and other crap in an SUV near as easy as a van. Plus better MPG than a Suburban that is the only thing close.

Maybe soon i will get my Burban out, but it is far from a vehicle she would drive daily. Esp when it gets some 40s under it instead of the 36s.

So today---I leave work again early. Sounds fun except when it is to look at yet another freaking minivan.

It is Saturday, so I'm not planning on doing much. A couple laptops to fix for some friends but nothing crazy.

Dang that is a lot of combined kids haha, I really want a suburban but they hold their value very well too, they are too expensive for me. I keep trying to get my girlfriend to buy a minivan for our two kids but she's undecided, what year did you get? Pictures?
