Again, I was more interested in how he put those badges on (dimensions, etc.)

Been a long time since I thought of those chicklets. I have had a set in my glovebox for probably 5 years. Thought I would install when i pulled side molding and never did

Finally got a minute to slap on them Maxx suspension end links on the rear of the Voy, while at my brothers shop today.

Changed oil on the Silverado for the first time since I've had it and checked diffs and transfer case. Used Valvoline maxlife like I've been running in everything for a few years now and a wix filter. Front diff and transfer case were full but dirty, rear diff was low so topped it off for now. Gotta get around to all of the 100k maintenance that I inherited by buying it right after 100k.

I didn't do anything to mind this weekend...but I NEED to wash them...yuck!! They're so covered in mud and brine from the "winter storm warning" we had here...I haven't washed yet because the weather's been so on and off and it's too cold to go for it if the freshness of a clean truck will only last a day

I accidentally hit my Voltage Gauge, which fell inside the dash. Whilst remounting it in the dash bezel, I broke a ground wire running to one of my LED strips. I spent an hour in 20° weather with hardly any light fixing both problems because nothing ever goes smoothly. Not even a simple task as this....
I installed a dual hitch mount and spare tire carrier. I think I'm going to have to shim it and get it welded. It wobbles.

Took a trip to Tire Rack to get new wheels and tires, chose the Sport Edition TK7 and Yokohama Geolander AT G015. Pretty happy with the look! I love the more "aggressive" tread pattern compared to the Coopers. Ride quality seems a tiny bit better, but could be a placebo effect.
Did an oil change afterwards, then ordered a new valve cover with the revised PCV blow by shield. Hoping this helps a little bit with the oil burning, still going through about 3 quarts of oil between changes.

Pulled my dash, changed a stepper, reinstalled and calibrated it.
Swapped out the T-stat (isn't that so much FUN!!!), refilled, etc.
Fixed the drivers door panel - then realized that the new handle bezel had nothing to clip too! Crap. New hunt for a part.

Washed the road grime, salt, and dirt off of her. Got pretty nasty after they salted and put dirt on the roads for the snow we had and today was the first off day I've had since that was warm enough to wash it.

I cut the bars that go around the headlights off today, they were blocking the turn signals. Thank you cheap Harbor Freight tools.

On Friday I installed new Centric rotors.
Hopefully they last as long as the factory rotors, which made it 15 years / 110,000 miles (177,000km) having only been turned once under warranty.
Late yesterday into the early AM today, I did a LOT to my GMT.
First project was to install North Face lights:
Here, I'll rub it in some more lol:
Anyone who is still looking for these might get a little red in the face when they see that I didn't even get charged for the lights. I'm still in disbelief 1) that I found a North Face TrailBlazer, and 2) that the cashier didn't charge me for them.
(The North Face storage liner was $3, and the glove box handle was $10, so I don't really feel bad).
Total cost of the North Face lights mod: $0.
After that, I decided it was high time to finally run the exhaust pipe out from under the bumper. Thanks to an old piece of 3" OD pipe off of a Chevy P-series that was rusting in the yard:
Now no more exhaust fumes in the cabin!
Total cost of the exhaust extension mod: $0.
What a day.

Steering rebuild on the Silverado over the past two days. Pitman arm, idler arm, idler arm mount, and inner/outter tierods. Wish they woulda just used a rack and pinion. Definitely not a job I want to repeat any time soon lol, fought me harder than I thought it would. Gonna try to get it aligned tomorrow at work.

Replaced the right front noise maker (hub). Was warm out (5c) so I took advantage of it. Took a whole 40 minutes flat. Put in a used Timken from the old '02. Love having spare parts on hand!

Doing a happy dance! From Local Craigslist I scored a brand new in the box, never been installed, discontinued at GM 1780065 just like I had installed on my previous 05 Rainier.. that will be my project for tomorrow! oh.., and I only paid $50 for it! The guy had purchased it for an Envoy he had but.. thought is was the wrong part.. LOL.. It should work nicely on my 08 Saab 5.3i !

Have to get out in the -9C weather and change my driver side upper trailing arm that snapped of a while ago probably.
Just saw it last weekend after taking a closer look because of strange behaviour while driving.
Strange feeling when that one is broken, feels like you skid sidways to the left when you kickdown and you get a similar effect to the right when you let of the gas after a takeover.
Went quite easy even with the cold weather, hardest part was to get the axle back in position so i could get the bolt in.
Got lucky and found a used one on a junkyard online that i got for $40, if i would buy a new one here in Sweden it would have set me back $167.
The partvendors here have crazy prices, if i want a new one i buy it from Rockauto. I was wery close to do so when i found this like new one at the junkyard that i got the day after i ordered it. If i could have waited longer i could have both upper controlarms for $80 including a $20 shipping cost.

Gave it a few drive cycles when it started misfiring yesterday but couldn't get it off the random code, which to me is a "no shit" code. On a cold start this morning it threw me a solid cylinder 3. Swapped it out with my backup(internet cheapy) and it's purring again. The dead one is like six months old and an AC. I have no luck sometimes. Although the TB waited until I got home to kill the coil so appreciating that. It's been a great ride all the way around, love the truck still.

Well, today I installed the rear air deflector. There are a few things I would do in the future were I do do another one. First I found out why GM did not want to do the same style, because the molding supporting the rear high mount light is not as thick as the older ones. That being said, they call for 5/16" holes only 1/8" deep; the rear area closest to the high mount light is not NEAR that thick and to fit the well nuts in the holes you have to go deeper. In the future I would recommend a 9/32" drill bit. The back holes have to be inserted and mostly tightened before putting in the front ones.
I'm including a pdf (if it will take it) and pictures of the air deflector installed. Also, on the packaging of the unit the supplier to GM is listed as: Autotron Accessories Division

These should have been standard equipment on all GMT 360, then again.. it recommend NO brush type carwashes... Oh another thing.. .2 of the cup washers for the top screws were missing so I have to assume the guy actually open the parts package. I used 2 Bonded Neoprene Washers on the front two screws. They actually, put less stress on the hole areas... so I am going to paint 4 of them black and change them all.. it would be less noticeable.

Rear diff service on the Silverado. Bought stuff for rear diff on TB as well. Also bought fluid for transfer case service on Silverado, plan on doing it at work tomorrow.

Finally installed the MDB Fab bumper on my Trailblazer
. Came out pretty sweet. Mike's kits are solid, and I highly recommend them. For paint I just used Rustoleum bed liner.

I had the Pioneer AVH1330NEX installed in the Envoy today. The same radio was installed in my Silverado a few months ago. Next I need to replace the speakers; which there are a couple I don't think even work.

Saw an old buddy from high school while driving tonight, and we had a little pissing contest. The trailblazer kept up side by side with his 2006 mustang gt v8 when we raced through a yellow light. That i6 chevy vortec never fails to impress me!
Today the Envoy got new gas shocks for the lift gate and rear window.

Did a burn out on dry pavement when I stomped it. Hasn't done that in a long time. I guess the mild 40 degree weather is treating it well. Pulled the dip stick and it's a little low but it's also been ~6000 miles since I changed it and I only threw in 6.5 quarts as it's what I had. Half a quart at 180k ain't bad and I know most of that loss is it seeping out the valve cover... I can see it I'm just too lazy to replace it.

Had the front windows tinted to match the rear. Was tired of the clear glass, thinking about getting a strip across the top of the windshield to tie it in because it looks naked now. They didn't have a piece big enough for it or I probably would've went ahead and had it done at the same time.

Bought it some oil as it will need a change soon. Figured even if it is early I'd just do it the next time we have some decent weather. It is supposed to warm up for a short bit soon after all. Well, the weather report is all rain rain rain for the next week plus. How terrific lol.
Also got the battery load tested. It is a Deka battery of unknown age (person forgot to mark it), and I've noticed it cranking kinda slow in the mornings lately. Not exactly sure the CCA rating on it as it just says "DEKA 70" on the side, but I think it is an AGM from my searches and likely 700 CCA or higher. Anyway, it tested as bad. I wondered... Debating what battery to get now for the truck before this sucker just quits on me. I think trying to jump start my truck with my wife's 4 banger Civic could be a bit frustrating!
