Took the Saab drag racing! My best time was 16.158 @ 84.79 mph. Tried with and without the AWD, no difference because I had minimal wheel spin either way. Traction control always turned off.

My trans cooler is on the passenger side. Been there for 3 years.
Is there any benefit to relocating to the drivers side?

No I just made some mistakes when i put it on the passenger side and wanted to start fresh. Also for me I didn't feel it was that secure mainly due to my own fault so I wanted to try again.

I've been dealing with a very subtle brake grinding noise after they heat up and I've been beating my head against the wall for the last 8 months trying to eliminate it.
First it was the RR rotor scraping the dust shield (so I cut them all off), then it was a chunk of crust on the FL rotor scraping the abutment clip (so I cleaned all the rotors), now it's the inner drum portion of the RL rotor scraping the rusted-out portion of the dust shield that is bent so it rides inside the drum.
I popped the rotor off last night and the remaining portion of the dust shield looks like swiss cheese, all mangled and crusty. I don't have time now, so it'll have to wait until the weekend to get cut off.

I knock on my desk as I type this, but hopefully this is the last time I have to take a wheel off and fool with the brakes.
Getting myself in a new Colorado is seeming like a better idea each time a new brake or suspension noise shows up...

Just got back from a trip to a you pull it yard. Needed a new headlight panel since mine was broken from when I installed my trans cooler. Actually found a really sturdy one that and the CAPA certification sticker on it. Also grabbed a new front bumper foam insulator since mine had fallen apart, and some mudflaps I thought was cool, but might give those away if anyone wants them.14550629_1296302733722044_1909997890_o.jpg 14550759_1296302693722048_341547523_o.jpg 14572096_1296302577055393_1087033021_o.jpg

Finally took the plunge and cut my resonator off. Now to find a local exhaust shop haha. Also replaced my cratered center console, didn't think it was that bad till i took it apart. Gave me the opportunity to clean the rubber skin that goes over top of it, man I did not realize how dirty that thing was :blinkhuh:.

Decided to make it easier for a passenger to get in my truck. Something I really hadn't thought about until last weekend when she had a hard time getting in and was wearing a dress. Amazon returned part, practically new, saved almost $150 off new price.

I love how this side profile picture makes the truck look flawless like a mirror. It certainly isn't lol, but it looks good in pictures!

And I couldn't help but notice my nemesis is starting to rear its ugly head. Ugh, so much that I have to do that all needs so much money to do or fix!

Got the upper ball joints and control arms done. Had to make an emergency run to Summit for another drivers side (flipped and on the passengers side) UCA. The one I got from prime choice looks to be slightly bent and didn't fit.

I'll be contacting them for a refund on the defective part. Wheel alignment tomorrow at 11.

I installed LED headlights into the Trailblazer. I had HIDs awhile back but they kept blowing the relay. Replaced them with stock headlights, but they suck balls. Anyway, here are some pictures.

Here are the fogs only.

I thought I had one of the unit installed, I will have to get one to add.

It's a great unit, paid $99 bucks for it. It does exactly what I wanted which was bluetooth to my phone and play my music.

I can't see anything there...maybe it's firefox.

I bought some 1/4" x 1.5" steel bar and made the brackets for my light bar. Just have to wait for it to arrive so I can drill the hole on the other end.

Weird. Like I said they showed up earlier.

I noticed moisture in my passenger side tail light on the Silverado and about 1/4" of water sloshing in the bottom. Great. Took it off and found the lens seal isn't to blame but rather it appears where some wires go through the back they did a horrible job sealing it up. So I shook all the water out that I could and am letting the housing dry out (sockets/bulbs removed). The holes are sealed shut with silicone now. I drove the car to work today so the housing could sit and dry longer. Looks like the chrome inside is messed up a bit in some spots (or at least has some dirt/tarnish on it) but with the dark red lens you really can't tell.

Since I had most of my dash dismantled, figured it was a good a time as any to replace some bad LEDs. One in the headlight switch, 2 in the cluster, 2 in the HVAC controls, 1 in the Homelink module and one of the quarter glass switches. Didn't realize how many LEDs I STILL had leftover from that massive batch that I bought like 5 years ago  Good way to start the day though

Next up, go back and mess with the radio control module and try to get it programmed to work with the steering wheel again.

How do you do the headlight switch! I am pretty sure you know why I am asking . There is a wire connector from the board to another one, how do I get it off ? Thanks:2thumbsup:

It doesn't come off. It's a pain in the ass, and does make the mod a bit awkward. Having something to support the main housing will be a huge help. Check the LED mod thread for polarity assignments. :book:

Decided the pinstripes had to go. Was tired of trying to clean out all the dried wax compound. Took a bit of time but was able to get them all of with only a few minor scratches :/. Found goo gone and a razor blade on a extension helped a lot in getting them off quickly without breaking the tape lines. Might try to fix up the scratches but not all too concerned about them.

Played with the LED headlights, but did not install since I want to run a separate ground for the H1 and fully pull housing to make sure the bulbs get mounted straight n tight since the heat sink is a paint to work the hold down tab around.

Changed oil & filter (first time doing myself on this vehicle). Pretty straightforward, although the oil drain bolt is a 13mm, not a 15mm as I thought.

Checked out the work on the trans cooler & pan bolts on the new trans (they fixed the corner bolt hole where I had snapped off the bolt and botched up extracting it, and it looks like a standard size bolt on there). That surprised me. Curious to see if they used a helicoil, but since I have a drain bolt on the pan and new fluid in the trans, I'm not really curious enough to drop the pan and find out. It's not leaking, and that's good enough for me. (Hopefully) through with trans work for awhile!

Unfortunately, my outside temp display in the HVAC head now reads about 25-30 deg F above ambient, and I'm guessing (?) one of the external cooler lines is probably close to the sensor. Will take the grill off next weekend and see if I guessed right (the cooler is on the driver side).
