Put on a set of Hankook RA33 Dynapro HP2s. The tires I bought it on still had a good amount of tread on them but were FUBAR from the previous owner running the car with bad alignment and unbalanced wheels. I had the wheels checked and rebalanced by 3 different shops before I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a new set... She's smooth as silk on freeway again.

Had a hell of a day yesterday working on brother-in-laws TBSS. I was able to change out all the tranny fluid, both diff fluids and transfer case. While I was at it we also changed out the motor oil and oil filter and air filter. Unfortunately didn't get any pic's of the procedure I did get you a pic of the envoy loaded up with tools to go do the service.20160514_092056.jpg

Since we did do all this at my brothers powder coat shop I was also able to put some work in on the oven and it's almost up and running. It just needs some seals, door handles and a few nick nacks.20160514_202641.jpg

Face-lift, nothing like some new shiny housings. Also one new taillight as two of the three plastic posts that the screws go into had broke.

Also threw some HIDs in the high beams on 55w fastbright ballasts

Now I've got two spare tail circuit boards so maybe I can scrounge up the quad tail mod.

Added some air to the tires this morning and checked the oil level. While staring at the wheels, they were pretty disgusting as I have not had time to wash them with all of the rain. Also gave the exhaust tip a good scrubbing.

A little hot water, soap, and microfiber towel goes a long way. Truck still needs a good hand wash as well.

Did an oil change on the Silverado. Used a little over 2 quarts in 6500 miles, but the first 2 quarts were within the first 3000 miles before I tuned out AFM at 3500 miles. Curious to see if that stops the oil usage or not. At least in the last 3000 miles it seems to have dramatically slowed it. At the same time, when I bought the truck it barely used any oil in the first 5000 miles so maybe just the oil type switch initially triggered oil use until it "got used" to the oil. Dunno, we'll see.

Also figured out where I'm mounting the catch can. No, it isn't installed yet but I should have it done this week I'm hoping now that the weather is behaving and I've gotten a number of other things out of the way.

I hope before the 4th! If we get started early enough, I need to get down to Newark before about 2.

Actually happened last night, but was too tired to post...

But changed oil, put on the caliper covers, determined I have a driver's temp actuator that is bad (not feeling like messing with it yet), and made sure the alignment was all good. Alignment was damn near spot on, but looks like down the road it's going to need some new front shocks in the future. Can make it until next summer (I hope), and then I'll probably contact Tony NorcalSS and get a kit from him.

Pricing a condenser since Regulator helped me figure out why my AC has not worked in years

You need the lil piece under the glove box...or at least that fixed my blower.

It is not a big deal. I mean AC was not even a standard option when i started this driving thing. 2-55 air was all you needed.

I think something like a blower resistor or something like that

Had to cut the paint some with 1500 compound. Had to 2 coats of polish and laid a heavy coat of wax.

Then I put our stamp on it. Lol.
Edit: I forgot to mention clay bar in that process.

Hears the way my brain works, one headlight has been a bit dim lately so I decided to just replace the bulbs be for it burnouts, so this is where my crazy kicks in, I couldn't just replace a bulb if I had to take the time to do one low beam I'm doing the high Ben sincse i have the light assemble out and if aslong I'm there should replace the bulb pigtail also since the still origanal and going on 12 years old and that reminds me I'm out of dialectic grease and have to have some and the but conneters for the wires I and I have been wanting to do LEDS in the front so now's a great time for that upgrade so more bulbs and load resisters and finaly since I have the lights off the truck time to restore the headlights so sandpaper (3 diff grit sizes) and spray bottle plies clearcoat. So what could of been $20 and 10Mon became all day and $200pluss maybe. That's what I did yesterday

Changed out the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body, because of the image size restrictions was only able to upload a few pictures out of the many I took. The pictures are of the dirty throttle body, clean"er" throttle body, and of the old tore up spark plugs. And for the moment my check engine light is also off!

Waved goodbye to it. It served me well, now going to be @HARDTRAILZ spare parts truck as it is 99% mechanically intact still. Glad to have the driveway/garage space back, but still kinda sucks to see it go.

(front has some of Kyle's random spare parts on it since I had removed the lift kit and wheel spacers. Rears would still fit without that stuff)

Got the eraser wheel and got the residue from the pinstripe off but where the side moldings came off it is dirt like in the paint so I've been told to try goo gone and hot water and/or 3M rubbing compound so I guess that's the next step to this project.

Changed the oil. Used valvoline maxlife (synthetic blend) since it is cheaper than conventional at Walmart now. Also acdelco filter, they're cheap there too. Under $27 for everything.

Changed the oil & filter and rotated the tires. I got Q State Full Synthetic for $3.27/Qt. The OLM was at 54%, but it's been one year.

I got my truck back on all four wheels and the tires under the other now so both are movable. Bugged me to think my truck was not available if needed

This was actually on Friday, got the new Toyo Proxes installed. I really like the 30" over my old 29". Had the headlights cleaned but didn't get before n afters. I also noticed washing n drying is much better without the door moldings. Denali is looking good again.

Used some 3M rubbing compound to get the dirt off from taking the side molding off and it worked like a charm! There are some spots that need to be touched up with paint of just repainted but it looks pretty good if you ask me!

My '06 TB and '12 1500 have been sitting in the driveway for the last two weeks without moving... I went out and pissed on both front driver's side tires to let them know I was still in control............
