BrakeMotive rotors and pads are here. Will be throwing on some black paint this weekend before install. Very fast shipping, only took two days to get here.

Any idea how much more it would be to upgrade to EXT rotors and pads than what you paid where you bought them? I'll need brakes this summer. Originally rotors at 134k.

Today I ran the truck through an automatic car wash :lipsrsealed:, it was a tremendous help with removing the bugs and stuff, but I still have a task ahead of me.

Nice! I use Fuelly.com to keep track of my fill ups
I usually only do it during long trips, my commute to work is short, so my mileage really sucks in town. However (this is a post from facebook this morning) we used 74.6 gallons (approx) to drive 1407 miles. 1000 of which was highway. 18.9 avg mileage overall. A couple stops on the highway ranged from 18-22 mpg calculated (the higher numbers came from the section that the wife drove).

I changed out my cabin air filters. They're about a year old and after looking at what they blocked, it's a purchase I was happy I made! The ones on the left are new, the right are old.
I couldn't tell

Cleaned the throttle body this morning after 2 years. She stalled the other day. Only took 25 minutes. I can tell the difference. Gave her a bath and shined up the tires. And painted the rivets from the roof rack silver. She looks better and idles better. She's happy I'm happy!

I changed the fuel filters in the TB and the pickup.

I also did a little experiment. I recorded the ST/LT fuel trims before and after I replaced the filter in the pickup since I knew she was way overdue.

There was a change. :undecided:

Ok where are these filters located? I knew these trucks have them but no idea as to where they were in the interior.

On 02 and 03 models I believe, they have the door stock. Years after that have to add them. If you drop the glove box all the way down, they would be installed on the left side, from underneath. I'll try to find a decent pic.

May03LT to the rescue!!

Made the switch to Mobil 1 full-synth today. Extremely short-term results are inconclusive but generally positive. I'll have to see for myself how it holds up. Also of course put on a new filter... my last one was a PF61 while the new one I grabbed was the PF61E. A cursory examination shows the internals are actually changed up quite a bit. Gone is the metal core with little tiny holes, now it's a plastic ribcage. Some reckon this would make a tear happen more easily in the media, but if the media is designed to withstand it in the first place it's nice to have more actual media surface exposure.

Only 2 hours this time, bought the $31 drill kit, didn't come with one of the discs the other kit did, not quite as clear as the right but barely noticeable, much easier with the drill

got a new fuel sensor, detailed it, and wrecked it...

I got cutoff, swerved, went through a yard, and into a rock garden... figured it was better than hitting the tree

here's how far I went... didn't hit the brakes until I was in the driveway

and here's the aftermath, the wheel liner's all fucked up and rubs when I turn the wheel

I'm not a happy camper...

Good news is that if the bumper itself isnt damaged, the cover is easy to remove and replace. Sucks though. A lot.

Good to know, now that I did my lift I'm thinking that a bigger tire and rim may be in the future! Thank you.
Do you have an account on ORTB? I am sure there is a lot of good info over there regarding lifts, tire sizes, and spacers.

My black vinyl decals arrived from EBay today. They look pretty good and match the caliper and rotor paint. They seem quality, we shall see how the hold up. Not bad for $10.

Dude, why didnt you mask them and pant them yourself?

Midnight got her new front bumper today. Fogs are in but not wired yet, couldn't muster up the brain power to make the wiring diagram for it.

I masked and painted the bow ties on my center caps about 4 years ago, and they are just now starting to show some tiny chips in the paint.

Got Mud on it!

fixed the latch catch under the armrest...was broken when I got it so...little piece of metal wrapped in electrical tape to match the black interior.

Bench tested my new LED lights....not sure if I am going to install them as back up lights or add to the front for added front light output. Extra back up light would be great when hooking up trailers, but I live about 3 miles down a dirt road - no light poles or anything just forest and fields - it would come in handy there too.

The pads are same. Rotors cost basically the same. You do need to buy brackets. My new rotors should be here Monday. The brackets are painted and have lifetime ceramic pads so will exchange them when old are pulled. Hope to get it all done along w ball joints tomorrow.

Curious how those lights work in the dark. Post up pics please.

It is 15% I am still considering to darken the others even more except for the hatch.

Yeah, but I don't want to deal with that PITA again. It took about 45 min per rotor/pads to clean everything up.

The plan was to install this weekend, but unknown to me the wife had other plans for us

I think I am going to hit the outer edge of the discs, those seemed to rust on the OE rotors.
