What kind of tune are you working on?Blckshdw said:First commute with the 87 octane tune. Only noticeable difference so far, is that it idles smoother. Due to rush hour traffic, couldn't really get heavy footed with the skinny pedal. But on the way home, there are a couple of straight stretches of road that usually have little to no traffic. So I can pull over, let traffic ahead of me clear, and then see how well it pulls. Only have about a quarter tank of 93 left, so I'll be back on regular by midweek.
Jimmy has HPTuners, so I paid him for 2 credits ($100) and we downloaded my stock tune. Emailed the file to PCMofNC and they custom tuned it based off the options I selected on their order sheet. ($125). The reflash only costs $50. Huge improvement in driveablility, definitely best bang for your buck, performance-wise.bmcutright said:What kind of tune are you working on?
I think I'll have to see it to believe it (rather, fully understand it). Excitedly awaiting the next mini-meet.Blckshdw said:Jimmy has HPTuners, so I paid him for 2 credits ($100) and we downloaded my stock tune. I've downloaded the trial version of HPTuners, and tried looking at all the stuff that's in there. Most of it flies over my head. A couple of the sections that I sort of know what they are dealing with, the actual values and stuff don't seem very intuitive.bmcutright said:I think I'll have to see it to believe it (rather, fully understand it). Check out the last few posts in the LED mod thread for details.kjkim93 said:Lmao this sounds like a good story to share!
You'll love the BM brakes. I've had them on my DD Grand Prix for over a week now and they don't make a single sound (I used brake lubricant as well on my pads and all points of contact) and they perform alot better over stock parts. Just with using half the pedal I feel them grabbing already and slowing me down.dmanns67 said:Ordered BrakeMotive rotors and pads. Also order Hankook Ventus RH06 tires, 265/50.
Drove it. I'm feeling slight vibrations while vibrating
Lol sounds like a personal problem and no you buy them individual mostly some online stuff comes in pairs
Thanks. All the pads are new. Mechanic said rotors were fine.Sparky said:It's best to replace brake parts in pairs so you don't have uneven braking power or components on each side.
BrakeMotive kit, 4 rotors and 8 ceramic pads for $187 and free shipping from EBay. Just picked up a set yesterday.kjkim93 said:Drove it. I'm feeling slight vibrations while vibrating. So quick and stupid question. Do rotors come in pairs?

The link below is for 2006-2008 TB/Voy 4.2L. They have a different part number for 2002-2005 TB/Voy.Aarkon said:Where is the link? [emoji106]
Was that per DIC or math at the pump? I'm very impressed, would love to know your secret. I'm pretty light footed myself, got my Cruze up to 53mpg.blazinlow89 said:Drove home yesterday, average gas mileage on the highway with the truck was 21 MPG.
Hand calc. DIC says 15.4 avg right now, when we started it was at 13.9. Heading down I averaged about 18-19 mpg per tank. Heading back the first tank I did was 21mpg, second was 22mpg as per the wife driving, and the last tank with me was 20.5.bmcutright said:Was that per DIC or math at the pump?
