That's a green light if I ever saw one! :wootwoot:

Since I can still drive it I will keep running it till tuesday which will allow me time to get mine/gfs S10 blazer on the road.

Went to dealer and picked up a trans filter/gasket and some upper engine cleaner. Removed the Rotella/ATF oil mix and replaced with some Castrol Edge. Performed a water injection to hopefully aid the BG44K in cleaning any carbon I may have accumulated.

Did two cycles of upper engine cleaner/gas mix 1:7 ratio into TB.

He's a bit above - WAAAAYYYY above - the Mason-Dixon line. I bet he's got ice until the middle of May.

And it hasn't even BEEN winter for almost a month now! That climate change, man. Read a theory the other day that with the way air currents roll, China's pollution ends up affecting us. Ah, the long-term effects of saving a bit of cash over just building a factory in America...

No pollution checks in China

And no unions, and horrible wages, and bad working conditions, long hours, some can't even escape company property (the company owns apartments on-site/near the factory, people pay rent back to the place they work).

Makes me glad I'm in fenestration. May be owned by a Fortune 500 company, but good luck getting several thousand windows per day across the ocean and at the contractor's place ready to install in a week or less, without glass breakage!

Took it to the farm

Hmmm china

Changed the FPR on my Envoy. About $76, but that included $10 for a set of fuel/AC line disconnects. It literally took longer to collect the tools and put them away again, then the actual time to do the replacement.

Washed it. One of those self serve places. Washed, dried. Did a pretty good job. Drove off, stopped at light two or three blocks away, and a bird $h1t on the hood, windshield, sunroof and center of the roof.

You my friend have not seen the movie, Twister...:p

I wanted to "Like" your answer, but the "Like" button seems to be missing. :frown::rotfl:

Also, cow dung is the last thing I'd be worrying about while driving through a twister.

Today was rear sway bar links and bushings, front and rear differential fluid, transfer case fluid and the necessary followup driveway degreasing.
A couple of notes for anyone who has never done these things before:
#1. Get the quart bottle pump. It can be a little tiring, but makes the job easy otherwise.
#2. The transfer case fluid will come out like a bat out of hell when the plug comes loose.
#3. If you're going to use a plastic oil pan on a gusty day, put a big rock in it before it flips over on you and the driveway.

Alrighty. So taday was gonna be front and rear diff fluid change as well as xfer case fluid change, but got a CEL and speny my allotted 'car time' diagnosing with the help of roadie, May03, trios, and anyone else i forgot. I also cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the engine bay rather thoroughly, and replaced wiper blades. Tomorrow is the fluids :)

I replaced plugs, coil packs, CPAS, and cam shaft sensor. Cleaned the air filter and throttle body. Pulled the radiator, fan and shroud. This was all after the 3.5 hours it took me to completely drop the transmission and get it prepped for rebuild.

Finally got around to changing the plugs. I thought that plug under the fire wall would be a lot worse than it was. Amazing how much smoother it runs. The plugs I took out only had 150,000 miles on em.

A fixed the rear lift gate and window today as well. searched U-tube and found a couple great ones showing how to unlock it from inside. I was ready to buy new parts to replace the electric lock/unlock. Found the video and it showed a guy who said to just spary it down with penatrating oil, wd40 or others, let it soak, work it a bit and all would work agian. I didn't really belive it could be that simple, but figured no money, why not give it a try? I'll be damned IT WORKED, :uhno2: Gotta love the internet.

No. I'm gunna post an update in my thread and i'll copy it here later. I have some testing to do still. mainly I need someone with a truck to follow me when I take it for a test drive just incase it dies again and I need to get it back home. I feel confident, but my luck never works that way.

Hey man, that's your thread, post as much as you want in it. If people don't like it, they don't have to read it. :book:

I painted my wiper arms black.
They had turned gray and looked disgusting so I took them off, gave them a nice sanding and acetone bath, then sprayed them with some Rustoleum matte black spray paint.

They look so much better now! Hopefully they hold up to the elements.
