Had to remove the trim around the front door, center post and the rear door so I could vacum up the water and then pulled up the carpet and pad went to home depot and got a high volecity fan and am in the process of drying it all out. Kinda wishing the front mats weren't rubber lined so that I would have realized it was happening sooner. I guess it should be on the preventive maintaince schedule! I don't think it got wet under the front passanger seat although I will have to check it out better tomorrow. Not as bad as my previous passat where the water flowed all the way to the backseat so I had to remove the front seat to dry it all out ... the passat also had a control module under the driver floor board that got pretty wet as well. (the leak was from the battery tray just on the other side of the firewall when the drain got pluged up with leaves and the water came through the firewall on the drivers side).

Heck yea man! Told you it wasn't that bad!Boricua SS said:Well I did this this past Saturday, but since the site was being upgraded, and I didn't have my laptop on me, im posting this now... I put on my new header panel that the dealership broke on the first motor swap and I completed my Cluster LED conversion. I need to add more LED's because while they may look blue and in unison with all my other LED's, they actually have a very slight hue of purple, so another strip of blue should solve that...
getting things ready...
Damn dealership!!!
of course i had to modify the new one to match my old header panel (headlight mod that we do to get more air in)
Buttoning her back up...
getting ready for LED's
Done!
Welllll... lol... im going to add another row to the cluster, then i had some plans for my subs box since the back of it has a lip on it and my amps are recessed. So i wanted to light them up. and maybe even my grilleBlckshdw said:That's a HUGE roll of LEDs, where are the rest of em going?

What is this Plasti-Dip Glossifier? Never seen it before. Is it like a protective clear coat or just what the can says, give a gloss finish to Plasti-Dip instead of a matte finish? I am going to have to look into this. I was planning on taking my dip off my wheels once I got new tires, but I like the idea of this Glossifier. I am not a huge fan of the matte finish. Thanks for helping to add more to the ever growing mod listMAY03LT said:IMG_20140422_202538_847.jpg
I got everything I need for a little spring/summer freshening up - and I found plastidip locally! I found it at Lowes of all places. So I'm going to try it on the grill this year and see how it holds up. I've seen a lot of posts on here from others who have tried it, so why not.
Your wheels look great.dmanns67 said:Glossifier looks like a good and cheap investment over just a matte black finish. I guess while I am painting my calipers and rotors I might as well spray them with some Glossifier.
Don't forget they have metalizers too now!dmanns67 said:https://www.dipyourcar.com/home.php Has alot of products and good info with videos. On the can it just says something like 'gives a gloss finish to plastdipped items' but in one of the dipyourcar.com vids they said something about 'extra layer of protection' which I thought made it kinda like clear I guess. The grille/bumper on mine is a bug/rock magnet so it needs all the protection that it can get. And no problem contributing to your mod list, just paying it forward since this thread and the LED mod thread gets me in trouble!dmanns67 said:What is this Plasti-Dip Glossifier?
