Finally got the bilstiens in! But how much air pressure should I put in my tires? The alignment place put 40 in all four and it seems a little too rough.

IIRC, you should run 80% of the maximum, which is 35.X. I run 36 all round in mine, just enough to be confortable and good stability.

I run 30-35, was running 50, have ran down to 24 on road without issues. Y'all should really run a chalk test and see what you set-up needs. I have had so many rim and tire setup that it is a huge variable in my rig. No two tires and vehicle setups are the same. Same size or brand does not matter, but might get you in ballpark. Best to just check and know for sure.

I guess I'm not confident enough in my ability to know my ass from my elbow when doing a chalk test.

Big day yesterday for the truck. Changed the fluids in the front and rear diffs, transfercase, and changed the transmission filter and flushed out the rest of the tranny fluid. Took a little longer than I remembered but it is done and of course if someone was to help it would have gone quicker with the flushing part and all is good. :wootwoot::wootwoot: And only a little rain as I was finishing which is good. On a job that big it usually will rain in the middle of it just to add some excitement.

Congrats, I bet that was a good feeling.

I'm so close, January will be my last payment. No more high interest auto loan.

Today I drove to meet a guy who bought my wheels, tires and spacers. Pretty cool dude, said he was on the OS but haven't been there in a few years. Told him to check out the site.

I do that next week. Good one mate!

Today, I have to replace my LED resistors again...where I have them mounted is not conducive for any sort of long term life. I'm going to mount them on the body behind the tail lights this time.

Yea.. zero Vaseline for me lol... but I should've known... the home welcone was short lived... I picked her up last night at 6 so naturally its pitch black out with daylight savings time so I took her out today to detail her and park her for winter and this is what I found...

For the lower radiator hose I'm guessing its just a clamp issue cause that happened on the upper one and as for the refrigerant I have no idea how its leaking... but back she goes tomorrow... I did however finish cleanin her up ..

They did road test her though because I have 100 new miles on the odo... but this happened while the truck was sitting idle and the heater on so I don't think they checked everything...

Juan it's just one thing after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another isn't it???

Since they have spent more time with your TBSS than you have, I cannot seem to comprehend how these morons would not go over EVERY SINGLE square millimeter with a fine tooth comb before handing you back the keys. I may have missed part of the story along the way, but have you brought it back to the same Chev dealer each time? I am really questioning the ability of some if these 'technicians' that are supposed to be making this right.

I am really sorry man- this is terrible.

I changed the right rear tire, which I found flat when I desperately needed to make a trip to the store.

A job which should have only taken about 10-15 minutes ended up taking about 45 minutes because of that *@#% secondary lock on the spare tire holder. :hissyfit: I then found out that the spare was about half flat as soon I let the weight down on the tire. Took it to the Sheetz for free air (Thank God something is free in this town, the local shops want like $20 just to put in a stinking plug!) and I'm waiting till I get home on the weekend to get the flat fixed. As SOON as I get home I'm getting the grinder out and getting rid of that secondary latch.

I blew out my front passenger speaker this morning. Now anything the goes through the radio has a steady fuzz sound to it. This is going to drive me insane! I promised the wife I wouldn't do any of the stereo upgrades I have been wanting until after Christmas. Maybe I will borrow her Civic and make her drive the Voy in the hopes that the terrible noise makes her allow me to buy some new speakers. :undecided:

Washed it yesterday, probably last time before winter.

Went to the Junkyard today, picked up 3 roof rack crossbars, hardware, front caps a resonator and the intake tube for $65. Need to go swap the tube though, its for the MAF sensor models. Though the hole in the intake was for the goofy hose that goes to the bottom. Going to swap it tomorrow.

Yea, I have no choice in where it goes for warranty work since this dealership is the original from the beginning and has all paper trails... I tried going to another and without even me knowing, they took my truck over to this one... they had a different guy workin in it this time, looks like he couldn't get it right either...

Turns out my AC compressor is shot, my CEL light came on on the way there, checked that and now one of my converters are shot (luckily there is still a warranty on them and that's gettin done for free) but they quoted me $419.99 for the compressor (my dads cost) so we'll see... she's parked for the winter so I'll deal with her in April when she comes back out...

Changed 7 of my 8 plugs out, didn't have time to finish the last one. What a mess in these V8s. Boots almost welded , no room to work.

Seriously, I did the plugs in my Chev Uplander V6 and did the last three from underneath, by feel, working around the manifold. That was way easier than the job on the Envoy.

Haha. ..go through wheel well.

I did that on the passenger side for the rear two. Those two were easy that way. To change the wires I figured that I had to go through the top anyway, so I didn't try cylinder 5 or 7 that way. For #7 though my 3 inch extention was pressed against the wheel well, and I didn't have a universal, so I used a 3/8 adapter on a 1/2 inch ratchet to get clearance from the plug well without banging into the wheel well. As it was, I could barely get the spark plug socket on the plug as the plug had so much corrosion. Really time consuming.

Went back to junkyard and found the right intake hose, picked up a resonator as well as a 6x5.5 steel spare, and the mount pads for the roof rack.

Installed the oem intake. Also installed the oem roof rack and crossbars. It will serve its purpose with a safari rack to hold camping gear. Truck looks strange.

Hit 188K and did an oil change. It was kinda nice to just get underneath and do it without having to drive up ramps or jack up the front end
