I may have to come down your way to wash her tonight tho...

Canyonero - Simpsons Wiki
i got curious lol
My trucks already spotless or i'd be joining you hahaha but maybe we'll meet up a day or two before the meet to get them all tip top shape

Deleted the air intake resonator. Its amazing how the sound of the intake and engine is changed by removing the plastic box. I noticed a deeper sound out of the exhaust as well.

I'm spending much of today trying to get ready for our meet next week...

Replaced the LED strips under my headlights, replaced the old fog light casings with ones Mooseman scored for me...

I wanted to get the outstanding interior LED's done & clean up the wiring mess under the back seat, but that didn't happen - my auto electrician had to reschedule due to personal issues...

View attachment 28215

I suppose I could still place the interior LED's where I want them...

Man, I really wish I wasn't so terrified of electricity & I understood it at times like this...

I replaced the burnt headlight plug that I found yesterday while doing some other mods...

View attachment 28245

Replaced it with one from Canadian Tire...

View attachment 28247

The new plug was a bit longer than the original, but it finally got seated right...

View attachment 28248

And yes, I checked the other side, just to be safe and it was fine... I'm thinking that I'll change it out anyway - just to be safe...:undecided:

 If you are comfortable with wiring, what's the problem with LED mods? It's basically the same thing... :weird:

If the wiring is "simple & basic", then I have NO issue with it... and replacing that plug was VERY simple & basic - IMO...

But when I think of LED's and the requirement of resistors, loads, etc, then that's where I start to get all nervous...
Mebbe it's not as complicated as I'm making it - but I doubt it tho... :raspberry:

That being said, I've started considering trying "simple & basic" projects to get my feet wet... which is why I started looking for PCB's last week... there aren't too many things in my life that intimidate me, but the thought of working with LED's is a daunting one...

I suppose if I had a mentor or someone close to work with it might not be so bad... :banghead:

The worst that can happen is a popped fuse, or a murdered led lol
Unless you dive head first in the deep end without knowing what you're doing, you'll be fine. Look up some cool led projects online...get comfortable doing it AWAY from your truck, and you'll build your confidence safely. That way, you don't have to be nervous abt screwing something up...just an idea
And you'll be glowing from the moon in no time :raspberry:

Might as well take the rest of the roof rack off, you are half way there! Unless you use it...

HIDs cause that or are you running stock bulbs?

Not today, but this weekend I finally washed it for the first time since October, removed the side moldings, removed some red decals, painted the frame, halfass interior clean-out, and painted the roof rack. Then I took it out and played with it.

if you are worried, then buy a bunch of 1a ATC fuses for each circuit you make and connect those to your power source. no need to buy fancy fuse holders, just use female spade terminals
53769d1338507258-fusible-link-connectors-cimg3519.jpg

then if you mess up, the carnage will stop at the tiny fuse.

if you use too large of a resistor, the led will just be too dim. too small a resistor, and the led will burn out.

theres nothing a civilian could do to help that thing, best to stay away and make way for the FD

Installed some LED strobe lights behind the grille. They appear blue but are white. Also put in some amber ones in the lower part.

I finally got around to reinstalling my HID's... about 2 or 3 weeks ago, my drivers side lowbeam ballast went out and my inline fuse melted on the relay harness... so $29 bucks later, I was back in business with a new relay harness and ballast... and damn did I miss my HID's :rotfl:

So I finally got rid of the rattling/clunking in the front end. Made noise that seemed to be both sides and was hard to track down. I read a lot different threads and figured it may be the stabilizer bar bushings so I ordered up a set. I actually did this yesterday and was surprised how easy it was. I hope I got the right torque value, what I looked up said 41 lbs which didn't seem very tight. Having the Roadie ramps sure helped. I noticed the old ones didn't look different to the new ones except the round edges were flatter and the inside must be where they wear out, the new ones have a pattern inside and that was wore right off the old ones. I also noticed the old ones were a lot softer and the new ones quite firm. So ya...problem solved and I'm so happy no more noise.

And that's another Envoy problem of mine solved by the GMTNation community, you guys/gals are awesome, thank you

Here's a few pics of new n old bushings n a pic of the Roadie ramps.
