Damn! ...703.4 miles is a long ass drive! Straight shot i take it? I made a drive like that once...needless to say, I haven't made that kind of trek since. (not solo anyways) I sure as hell hope you have cruise control

Also, 250 kilos to the border means somethin a lil different to us in the states...:raspberry:

Pssh, that's only 62,137 miles. Still young!

:iagree: Especially for an 06... I had to double check at first, I thought it was 100,000 miles, not kilometers

Pulled right rear tire to find what was causing it to lose air. Took a while to find a small nail in it. Will take care of that tomorrow.

Pulled the starter and busted it in the process. It is in pretty rough shape. Now just trying to decide what replacement starter to get. I want to get something good quality but don't want to break the bank either. And as we all know more expensive does not always mean better either.

For the past 2 days I have been frying in this high 90 degree weather masking off, sandblasting rust and sanding down the TB getting ready for the raptor liner.

Reminds me I need to call the body shop again and try to get on the schedule. You're lucky you can fix the rust yourself, mine needs some skin grafting.

Does anyone here in Ohio do body work that wouldn't mind doing partial body work on my truck? I'm just looking to get the worst of it repaired and then bedlining the lower half of the doors, the wheel wells, bumpers, etc... I could do the bedliner part myself I'm sure. I'd just need the metal work done and some partial respray on some upper areas (touchups). The place I am originally planning on using is quite busy and hard to get on their schedule now that I have the money saved.

If you turn the bed of your pick up truck into a soaking tub......then you just might be a redneck like Sparky is saying in the above post.

Replaced the starter this morning, then drove it all over the place today, and filled the tank at the cheapest gas station in a 30 mile radius. It happened again, gas just started to touch the $3 mark and oil jumps and gas jumps back up to $3.59+

Also called the body shop. Going to be going there in a couple weeks to nail down exactly what we're doing and cost, then schedule the actual surgery.

I would love those prices. The last time we were at $3.99 was in mid feburary. Went up to around $4.50, and right now most stations are around $4.15. Luckily I have a costco card, premium for $4.08 atm.

We just had a "gas war" down around here. Two stations were fighting and gas got down to $2.86 for a few days (most places were still around $3.45). Back up to $3.16 now though. I have my sisters' Neon, but I was filling up every other day. Rumor is that one station was trying to drive the other out of business.

Thats pretty funny! Maybe I should look for something like that in my area for cheap gas!

I am a poor bastard right now...but had to order a new head light from fleabay. (Water leaking in the one I have now) paid $50 for a light used oem one that has hardly any wear on it. I was gonna order an "aftermarket" that looks like an oem for $60....but didn't know if they would look similar. better than paying $150 for a brand new oem.

The story is that one station was bought out and the new owner put a sign on the front door "Now hiring. USA not apply." So the other station (corp backed) started to try to drive them out of business. Went on for almost 3 weeks. Cops had to direct traffic, had roads closed. People were waiting in line for 45 minutes. Sucked to get through that mess.
