Other than the noise how is the truck driving? I'm thinking it may not be in the suspenion but the engine itself. At this point I'm just guessing.

Truck drives fine. It isn't in the engine as it is dependent on road speed and not engine speed. I can be coasting at say 45 mph, pop it in neutral, rev the engine, and the noise doesn't change.

Yep mine arrived too!

Now I just need a clean pair of windows to put them on. Hah. But I feel stupid because I thought they were stickers that went on the outside of the glass, but it doesn't look like they do? Or am I just being really, really dumb...

Cut me some slack, I've had a long week lol.

Installed Mark's spacers (thanks mesaboogie) and my new to me tires. WOW are the rims suppose to that tight on the spacers? I had to beat them off of the spacers with a sledge hammer to have the new tires installed.

Yes they go on the outside of the window. You CAREFULLY peel off the clear part. You want the sticker to stay on the clear part. Stick it were you want it and rub it with something like a credit card. Now carefully peel off the clear part from your window leaving the sticker behind.

Replaced the alternator AGAIN! The battery was dead Friday morning because I accidentally left my heated seat plugged in. Boosted it, it started and was running OK. On my way to work, the alternator stopped charging. Guess it couldn't handle the load of having to charge the battery. Went back home and arranged to get another one. Swapped it out and it seems fine now.

It was cheap Chinese crap I had bought at Prime Choice Auto Parts. Although local here, they do sell online, eBay and Amazon. It barely lasted two weeks and it seemed to be wonky from the beginning, getting voltage variations and drops for no reason. Hopefully this one lasts but found out the warranty is only 90 days. I'll post a review later depending on how long this one lasts :undecided:

Got copy #2 of Haynes repair manual. During Christmas clean up my wife didn't pay attention and put copy #1 in the recyclable newspaper pile. Out it went. Finally ordered and FedEx'ed a new copy. Oh well she knows the rules, not the first thing of mine she or the kids have lost or broken, replacement at whatever cost.

I replaced my taillights with stock bulbs, I jumped the gun and installed my LEDs without resistors and blew some fuses.

And then I got these in the mail

It's not the lack of resistor that blows your fuse. Was it the brake light fuse? If so it's because you need SRCK bulbs

Today, I put my new fuel door on. The last one rusted and fell off.

That happened to mine a couple weeks ago. Where did you get your replacement? I've found a couple in my color on fleabay, but I am wary of the same thing happening in the near future. Forest green metallic, isn't the most common color...

I got mine at Doug's Auto Recyclers of Coldwater, MI. I don't remember the year or price I paid, I'd have to find the invoice. It was Indigo Blue Metallic.

I was going to do that, but couldn't commit to the style. Bought one last night that came off of an 05 envoy. Same color and listed as excellent shape. We'll see.

I'd torn between these

but I can't justify sending about $100 when my door isn't broke.

Got a K&N filter for my Silverado. Though. I'm going to wait for the snow on its hood to melt before I put it in.

I couldnt justify spending $100 when I got a stock one for $40.

There are two other TBs in the parking lot where I've been for the past month and a half (one SWB and one LWB). Maybe I should start parking next to one of them as much as I can and see if I can lure the other to then park with us. By the way, the SWB is a black one with a chrome roof rack on it. At any rate, I want to make mine taller than those two in the future

I called the shop and I'm going over there on Wednesday for them to diagnose it. Hopefully it doesn't empty my wallet too badly.

The noise changed again now, it is more of a buzz than a howl. Strange.
