They've worked since September for me and a few other members so I'll just let it roll.

If they work, that's all that matters.

Washed it and got all the salt grime off. Good god lots of it!! Hoping my wheels will be ok. Came with the 'voy when I bought it. Usually I spray the mcquires spray chrome cleaner on them.

I drove it back to school for the semester and I just ordered some replacement LED back-up bulbs.

Well today I worked on our 2005 Saturn L300 instead of my GMT

I had to replace the spark plugs, which involves removing the intake plenum. Sounds bad but its really not at all. 45 minute job. BOSCH spark plugs from the factory - 3 prongy weird looking things stamped "DELCO GERMANY". I was going to do the thermostat today too as PM but that involved removing the lower intake too :hissyfit: .. Ill be saving that for another day.

I guess I did do something to my Envoy today...loaded up the trailer and bought 2 face cords of seasoned oak!! Of course, towed it like a champ at 10-11mpg....lol

I hit a lucky #

I limped back home broken, and bought her a new set of wheel bearings as a reward for a job well done this weekend!

Took the TB out 4 wheeling in the snow today. Long story short, need front end repairs, hood, bumper, grill, headlight, possibly PS pump, etc. Bunch of us went out, I was the last of 4 trucks. Saw the rest start sliding down the hill, before I could react I was sliding. I hit the third truck that hit the 2nd truck and went into a ditch. I hit the 3rd truck it went into the ditch and hit the 1st truck and put it into the ditch. Managed to put myself into the ditch and not tumbling down the hill. Put my chains on (too little too late) and with the help of about 10 men pulled out (in 4 Lo) and rode the ditch down to the bottom, thanks to enough clearance. Pulled the others out and went home. I was scared shitless as the other option was rolling down the hillside, I was thankful that repairs are all I need, and I'm thankful we were all adults about it and the same folks I hit helped pull me out.

Lesson learned...survival box came in handy, we all knew we did the best we could under the circumstances, chains work really well, I need a bigger lift and beefier tires, shooting things with a 45 to releive stress after said events - awesome.

If you need me I'm now at home enjoying lots and lots of beers.

and right there is a great example why you should always wait for the truck you are following to make it to the bottom (or top) of a hill or difficult obsticle before you continue on yourself!

I am glad that everything ended up ok and no one is injured. The body damage sucks, but at least its repairable. The body damage I did to the truck this weekend on the other hand, not so much. :sadcry:

I wish it was that simple, unfortunately the corner was (sort-of) blind and before I could react it was too late. It want's as bad as it may seem, the worst part was the adrenaline that ran through me as it all occurred. The feeling of being behind the wheel of a TB EXT on a slick hill with a roll over descent on one side was enough to make me cringe. Good thing I had clearance to ride the ditch down and not roll her over.

You'd think that over the years driving Fords, Hummers, and, GMs that I'd have this down, but yet I still live to freak people out.

Hope all is well around the GMT world.

Anyone have a Power Steering pump write up that is a re-write from trailvoy?

Thanks

I'm real sorry to hear about this but I am happy to know that everyone walked away injury free! it's painful that what started as a Joy ride ended up like this! Glad you're ok!

Changed the frt and rear diffs with mobile 1 and oil as well. Seafoamed the crankcase last week. The drain plug on the rear diff was a PITA and broke my ratchet but the lil bugger came out! Found a bit of sludge on the plug but no shaveings that I could tell. Thanks MAY03LT for the video how to's!! Really made it pretty simple.

I took my envoy on a 1500 mile trip to florida and only costed me like $300 on gas! Thats with a pcmforless tune! I love it!

Thinking I have to take mine to a tire shop or dealer because my TPSs keep going off and one of the stem covers is stripped.

Topped off windshield washer fluid,
changed engine oil,
changed idler pulley,
pulled steering wheel off and reset it back to normal driving position ( was a little bit off and was annoying me)

Ordered hub and prolly some 35s.

 I bet you had the same look on your face when you opened the package, as I did when I bought mine. "Smoked my ass!!" But yeah, a lil paint in the right spot is all it needs.

My LED strip came unglued and was hanging low on one side, so I was going to fix it with 2 sided tape. It was brittle and snapped. I ordered a new one.

Hmm I did not know they offer that as a factory part to have on the truck! No you do not have to take more pictures I got a good idea of it with that picture! Plus is that a TV sticker I see there haha :uhno:

Well i spent the better part of my day trying to figure out why my HID wire harness wasnt't working. Then to my dismay, i took the harness out and hooked up the hid's without the harness and bam....nothing. More time spent diagnosing with no luck. To top it all off when i put the stock bulbs back in....Double Whammy, no OEM lights either. Tomorrows gonna be a long day testing fuses and relays and plugs. Yay me

yea, that was taken before a meet we had at summit racing back in the summer... decals have since been removed

i didnt know they came with them either like that... but it does serve a function.. i dont get the whirl wind dust that circulates in the back and it actually filters the rain/water from hitting my back window.. so i left it on

Couldn't help but notice you posted more details of your problem on the OS, and your first reply looks like a guess. Recommend starting a thread here if you don't locate it quickly. Is there any response to changing the headlight rotary switch? On the parking light issue, do you have zero parking lamps, or just none in the front? If only the fronts are out, have you checked rear fuse #37? If all are out, it could be the park lamp relay or the rotary switch.

Or if it's in the daylight, the low beams don't even come on until you shift into a gear. They're not on in PARK in automatic mode. That catches a few people when they're debugging the system.

Just another drive to work and hoping the temps are up enough to see if that solves my tire presure sensor problem.

So far I checked fuses 3,6 and 46 and I got nothing. I switched 45 and 46 and the lights still didn't work. The frony left parking lamp bulb was blown. Will trying to take the plug out of the housing the wires stripped out(fml). I tested the bare wires and I had power. I THINK its just a headlight issue. How do i check the rotary switch?
