What did you do to your GMT today?

Is that a metal hook at the end of that thing?

Ordered the larger Envoy XL rotors. The Envoy needs the front brakes done bad. I picked up a pair of XL caliper brakes from the salvage yard a couple months back. Time to wrench soon.

Did you need new calipers? I was under the impression the calipers were the same, just the rotors and brackets needed to be changed.

Do you not pay attention to what is said about recover straps on ORTB?

Added a recovery strap
Looks like the tow strap I bought to flat tow the sierra home...

I extended the ground on the passengers side ballast directly to the battery. It still won't hot strike and sometimes won't fire. Only since it's cold out. It worked fine all summer....

More AC work... Got a bottle of red dye, fed that into the system, and then 2 bottles of 134a. Compressor kicked on, and then the air started to blow cold after while. Turned on the rear system, and the 2nd canister got sucked dry.

As best as we could tell, no leaks anywhere for about 10 minutes of poking around the engine bay. Best case scenario, the line we replaced was the problem. Maybe not the worst, but bad case scenario, the leak is in the rear system somewhere, and that will have to get taken apart. :worried:

Finally got tired of wiggling the loose shifter lever and found the right size star bit to tighten it up.

Anyone know if the '05-up shift levers are interchangable with the '03-04s ? Would like to get the 'barrel' / aircraft style shifter and put it in place of the contour shaped one like I have now.

It's not happening now, but today... much later, I'm gonna get inspected. Think they'll fail my gas cap, it doesn't seem to get tight anymore.

Kind of wish we had inspections here, all those damn ricers with cat-less exhausts get pretty annoying.

I exchanged my tow strap for a recovery strap because safety.

Don't ever say that. You'd have to drive an hour for lifted vehicle inspection in my state. I don't even know how that works. It blows trying to make any mods too. The only place worse is California. But not by much.

I would move if they did inspections here.

i also wish all warning labels were removed so this planet could rid itself of the stupidity that abounds these days.

Backed into it while parking my work van. Not even a scratch on either vehicle though.

Had the wheels balanced as she was vibrating at higher speeds, dropped into the spring shop to have the springs checked out, she seems to have dropped a little after the lift, need to replace the springs at some point.

They should have settle some since putting the lift on.

Not mine but it seems my brother-in-laws 08 tbss has been throwing a code p2135 with reduced engine speed. So I've been doing some research on it so I can take a look at things tomorrow. So today I cleared the code in hopes it doesn't come back as the truck has been running just fine. Any input is always welcome. Thanks guys.

Yesterday. Replaced the throttle body on the brother-in-laws tbss. I check all the wiring and fuses for a p2135 code they all checked out so we replaced the tb. So far so good no code no reduced power all is good in my brother-in-laws world now.

I'm not sure how a throttle body craps out at 52000 miles but hey I've seen many a car part no last as long as they should.

We will wait and see today after a long cool down on the engine over night hopefully after everything we checked and did the code never comes back.

Put in my new HD dash cam I got for Christmas. I have to manually turn it on and off but I'll put a switched socket in so it will automagically start up when starting the truck at some point.

Got around to upgrading the front brakes. The front pads were in dire need of changing. Decided to upgrade while I needed to replace things. The brakes fill out the 18's nicely. I also bleed the brakes all around. I'm sure it hasn't been done in the vehicles life time. Also fixed the leaking tranny cooler lines. One was held on by some twisted up safety wire as the clip was missing. The other I discovered was double oringed.

Just got back driving it from the cabin. About 400 miles in 2 1/2 days.

Finally got around to putting in my side mirror led markers. I opted for the amber front red rear. Looks freakin awesome.

Washed her

Ordered ball joints and outer tie rod ends as mine are worn. Took it in for an alignment yesterday and they said it wouldn't align due to the wear.
