Gazed at it from my dorm window, well looked in it's general direction since I can't actually see it. I will be taking it for a drive later to go out to eat.

Revved back and forth at a light with a Mustang Saleen and Altima Coupe (lame)

Drove home tonight for the first time with my 6-hi mod. Made sure to take some extra back roads so I could use all 6 lights more. Love the light output. Can't wait to get my HIDs.

Do have a question tho...if I get leds for my fogs (looked on CARID) do I need a driver or are they PnP?

6hi mod is definitely amazing on dark back roads. If I were you, I would just buy a 880 HID kit for the fogs with 4300k bulbs.

The plug and play LEDs for headlights and fog lights are weak, more or less for looks. Kevin's Cree LEDs come with a driver to convert 12v input to 24v output. They are very bright, but very unreliable.

HIDs in the low beams and fogs you will be good.

Yeah I figured so about the fogs. Just wondering instead of dropping another buck and half on the fog light kit.

I know I know it's not too expensive I'm too cheap. Will just have to save up for it. :-)

Took it to applebees with some friends, the only time I wish I had an ext so we could all take one car. :raspberry: (I like the SWB 100x better)

Did the Quad-hi mod and the cap mod.

Replaced a fried headlamp connector. Remembered the dielectric grease putting the bulb back on -- this time. Had to take the battery out to get to it, not a lot of slack there.

I used the spare diode to do the quads to the envoy as well.

Cleaned and lubricated the window channels with some silicone spray. Followed by a through window cleaning. Drivers window rolls up much better now. Had to help it out a couple times when it was below freezing.

Changed the left side Headlight assembly, Realigned the headlights a bit but will need to do final tuning of that at night of course. Changed the oil, air filter and swapped in a new to me washer tank since the original had a leak. Also tried an experiment with the LED bulbs to see if i could fit them into the blazers headlights using the one i removed. Turns out i cannot fit them into the low beam but i can install them in the high beams with no issues i can see. However i am def going to have to look at trying to clock them again somehow...there has gotta be something im missing with this. But ultimately it looks like both the Blazer and Trailblazer will be running HID Lows and LED highs.

Yep...good job

Filled mine up and took it out in the hills for some excersize for both of us. Tried to add some pics here, but they're just over the 2mb limit.

Resize them before uploading. Much nicer on people to not load a 10 megapixel pic anyway

I think it was three weeks today that my headlight journey began. And now these are painted.

[sharedmedia=core:attachments:62027]

Once everyone is asleep I'm going to throw my test lens in the oven to try to get the glue off. If it works, my good lenses are getting the same treatment.

So I wanted to try neodymium magnets for my trim panels. I had 4 of them spread out on the workbench when suddenly one attracted another. They smashed into each other and shattered but became a clump. They must have combined forces because then they pulled another one over, shattered/clumped, then pulled the last one. I never used them before but read that they can shatter so I had safety glasses on. It happened so fast that I don't think I could have blinked if I tried. Scary.

Replaced my shift cable bushing. Was backing the truck out of a parking space at work, shifted back in to drive (or tried to), and shift indicator stayed in neutral. In the process of trying to at least get the truck back in to the parking spaces and not in the middle of the garage, i managed to push the shift lever back up to park, where it locked.

Called a friend who came over, took me to the nearest parts store, where I managed to get the last bushing set on the rack, then went home to get my insulated uni-suit and get out of work clothes. Went back to the truck, swapped the bushing in, and she's back home. Owe my friend dinner for helping me out.....

Stupid little plastic POS bushing!

Was at a light next to a Subaru Impreza, obviously had some stuff done to it, I wasn't trying to provoke a race (can't beat him) so when the light turned green I eased on the throttle, but after he took off I was thinking "eff you guy, i'm gonna atleast be on ya!" WOT all the way down to the next light right on him. Fun[emoji13]

Found a few drops of gear oil under the front end :hissyfit:
...Hope it's not the driver side axle seal that i fixed in the summer...

Starting to notice some fluid drops under the front end area of my carport as well. Hoping it's just that Fumoto valve not being tight enough and torquing it down will solve the problem. Would really suck to have to have to drain all the oil just to switch back to the stock drain plug so soon.

Messed with the pins in the license plate sockets and added some LEDs in there. I just wish I could win the lotto cuz there are so many mods that I have stored in the cranium they are starting to ooze out. Patience is a virtue I guess...also a PITA!

Also removed plastidip from the rims. Painted them to help with the salt, but I'll just make sure to keep the lady clean as much as possible. Enjoy the look of the 18" polished OEMs anyways.

Gave it some love today. Oil change and front end lube followed by picking my right nostril with my left index finger while whistling Dixie and hopping on my right foot in a counter-clockwise circle. I just love how GM picks random combos of actions to reset certain features lol. (I'm looking at you, oil life monitor!)

Haven't posted here in a long time...

About two months ago I removed the HIDs because the wiring harness relay rusted out and I had NO lights. Been having problems with unreliable ballasts for months, so I'm happy with my Silverstar Ultras.

Developed a crack in the exhaust manifold about a month ago, so I bought the parts from Amazon and had a local shop do the labor. Good thing too, because 5 of the 8 bolts broke off and had to be drilled and tapped.

Then the O2 sensor went bad which was probably a direct result of the exhaust manifold being replaced. So I replaced that tonight, which required the removal of the heat shield from the exhaust manifold because the hole for the O2 sensor didn't allow enough clearance to get the O2 socket tool on it... Hrruumph!

Also my transmission has been acting up for a few months and it finally went out completely last Friday. Got it rebuilt this past Monday/Tuesday and it's running great.

I had my rebuilt transmission installed and got my truck back.

Lots of upgraded parts. I had a performance high stall converter installed. I will double check with them on the stall speed and post later.

The stall made a huge difference off the line, and all the other parts have really firmed up the shifts.

Will you have a YouTube how-to for this? I'm gonna do it to my brothers truck soon whenever he decides to get high beam HIDs.
Yeah but it won't be up for a week or so. If you need help in the meantime don't hesitate to axe.

Tonight I replaced the rear shocks in my pickup. I was getting ready to let it off the lift and something caught my eye. Big puddle of power steering fluid. It's weird because I just did the quads the other night and the floor was spotless when I left. While I was looking it over a drop of oil hit the floor. Dafaq? Both the oil and p/s fluid were a little low. Fun fun fun.

Sent out the PCMs in both the Trailblazer and the Sierra to PCMofNC. I'm very excited.
