Changed the 0w20 in the girlfriends Honda. Then changed the rear pads and rotors on my Envoy. I got tired of feeling those 48rpm records on my back axle.

Hitched the trailer to the TB and pulled the boat out into the driveway to winterize the engine. Got her all ready for a long winter's nap, fogged out the engine, drained the fuel tank, carb bowls and all the fuel lines. Poured some SeaFoam through everything to make sure nothing gets gamey over the winter and she'll fire off next spring. Pulled the lower unit off and will change the gear oil and put it aside until May or so. I need to buy a new water pump, thermostat and 4 new NGK plugs come Spring time. Now I just need to put the tent over it and pull the wheels and call it a season.

Noticed my temp gauge was being a bit finicky. Start off from a light and it would dip almost a tick sometimes, and it seemed like it was taking a while to get to full temp. Even cruising it would waver a little bit. Well drat, my tstat may be on its way out. Guess 202k on the stock one isn't too bad.

Thats exactly how I noticed my t-stat was going bad, except it would drop to almost half when accelerating on the interstate. Plus Torque showed me my temps ranged between 165° and never above 183° until I replaced it.

202k is a lot of miles out of the original t-stat. You must have a Wednesday vehicle.

Drove the Silverado to Lowe's twice. First to return some batteries I got for the garage remote. Wrong type. Lowe's didn't have them but Wally World did.

Later my wife asked me to cut some branches so I grabbed my sawzall. First branch I wasn't getting anywhere. Felt the blade and realized the teeth in the middle were useless. Probably the last time I loan out tools. My buddy must have been cutting metal with the wood saw blade. Had to run back to Lowe's to get another. I had only used that blade to make two cuts previously.

The Voy finally made it back in the garage but its probably hitting the road this week for another business trip.

Just hang onto that dull blade, and next time your buddy asks you if he can borrow it, say yes, and go swap the dull blade back on there. :satan:

Well not a gmt but blacked out the emblems on the wife's equinox, and with the remaining vinyl I blacked out the GMC logo on the rear of the voy. Think I'm gonna have to put a battery in her soon though, really slow to turn over.

Now that's a good way of solving that problem :rotfl: . I'm going to get the alternator and battery checked today. While making a quick run to CVS the truck wouldn't crank. So at 130k I know what I'll be getting lol.

New thermostat and temp sensor ordered. I figure the sensor also has 202k on it so I should replace it anyway.

I need to slot a socket for this thing I guess - what size socket is used for that sensor?

On my 07 it was an 18mm socket.

Ya its a cool place so far, just talk about performance and mods. No bs.
Why can't more shops be like that? So many places are just money hungry and take advantage of people

A good way to keep the LP tanks and gas cans from rolling around the back of your TB is to put them in milk crates. The crates are the same size as the tanks and cans. Keeps them from tipping over.

Tried to start her. Seemed like she has battery power but just nothing when turned the key. Was already running late so I took the saturn instead. Deal with it when I get home.

Starter. Mine did that a couple years ago. Turn the key and no crank, though everything still worked and the key pulled out of the ignition just fine.

Then this year I turned the key and the key got stuck and I had nothing at all.

I'm gunna play with it some when I get home. Sunday after getting the trans back in, i went to start it and the battery was low and caused everything on the inside to act really weird, but i was still able to remove my key then and today.
