Yeah that'd be bestAarkon said:Ya im gonna have to wait till next year though after I put my rims on to decide how low to go
Thats exactly how I noticed my t-stat was going bad, except it would drop to almost half when accelerating on the interstate. Plus Torque showed me my temps ranged between 165° and never above 183° until I replaced it.Sparky said:Noticed my temp gauge was being a bit finicky. Start off from a light and it would dip almost a tick sometimes, and it seemed like it was taking a while to get to full temp. Even cruising it would waver a little bit. Well drat, my tstat may be on its way out. Guess 202k on the stock one isn't too bad.
Just hang onto that dull blade, and next time your buddy asks you if he can borrow it, say yes, and go swap the dull blade back on there.Mark20 said:Felt the blade and realized the teeth in the middle were useless. Probably the last time I loan out tools. My buddy must have been cutting metal with the wood saw blade. Had to run back to Lowe's to get another. I had only used that blade to make two cuts previously.
Now that's a good way of solving that problem . I'm going to get the alternator and battery checked today. While making a quick run to CVS the truck wouldn't crank. So at 130k I know what I'll be getting lol.Blckshdw said:Just hang onto that dull blade, and next time your buddy asks you if he can borrow it, say yes, and go swap the dull blade back on there.
That's about as much of a GMT as a trailblazer to me. GMT = General Motors Truck.BHAMER said:Well not a gmt but blacked out the emblems on the wife's equinox, and with the remaining vinyl I blacked out the GMC logo on the rear of the voy. Think I'm gonna have to put a battery in her soon though, really slow to turn over.
On my 07 it was an 18mm socket.Sparky said:New thermostat and temp sensor ordered. I figure the sensor also has 202k on it so I should replace it anyway.
I need to slot a socket for this thing I guess - what size socket is used for that sensor?
Nice man, sounds like the shop I got my Magnaflow installed by last year I was just chillin with them in the shop and the owner showed me his S10 he racessmt 59 said:Mandatory e test today and passed, attracted a small crowd of mechanics who are big into GM trucks, this is a new shop that I am trying out and so far I like it. A bunch of good ol boy's.
Why can't more shops be like that? So many places are just money hungry and take advantage of peoplesmt 59 said:Ya its a cool place so far, just talk about performance and mods. No bs.

My wife has an Equinox as well, has a 6 in it. Got a PCM tune and a K and N air intake, did a couple of other mods to it, goes like hell.djthumper said:Same family as the Traverse and Arcadia they are all Theta platform
A good way to keep the LP tanks and gas cans from rolling around the back of your TB is to put them in milk crates. The crates are the same size as the tanks and cans. Keeps them from tipping over.CaptainKD said:My truck is gettin a workout today. Next up, donate a table to goodwill then propane refills at the hardware store.

This just happened to me the other day and that's what I will be purchasing today.Hatchet said:Tried to start her. Seemed like she has battery power but just nothing when turned the key. Was already running late so I took the saturn instead. Deal with it when I get home.

Sparky said:Starter. Mine did that a couple years ago. Turn the key and no crank, though everything still worked and the key pulled out of the ignition just fine.
Then this year I turned the key and the key got stuck and I had nothing at all.
I'm gunna play with it some when I get home. Sunday after getting the trans back in, i went to start it and the battery was low and caused everything on the inside to act really weird, but i was still able to remove my key then and today.TexazReece said:This just happened to me the other day and that's what I will be purchasing today.
