Plastic made to look like metal, if it's OEM.IllogicTC said:but I'm not sure if it's actually metal or just plastic made to look like metal.
Just take it off. De-badge it to keep'em guessing!IllogicTC said:Yesterday, really. Washed it up, did some interior detailing, and shined the chrome up on the running boards. Thinking about seeing if I can shine up the "TrailBlazer LT" badge present on the rear, but I'm not sure if it's actually metal or just plastic made to look like metal. Hard to find an inconspicuous spot on such a noticeable thing, too!
Its plastic. I took my LT badge off with the bowties. No need for badges.IllogicTC said:Yesterday, really. Washed it up, did some interior detailing, and shined the chrome up on the running boards. In my experience using plastic restore speeds up the fading, that's why I eventually painted all my trim. Hopefully it never happens to your TBPlaysinsnow said:Pulled it out of garage on to the grass in the shade to wash it, drove back in to wax and buff. Some back to black for the plastics too. They are not bad but I like the wet look.
Last summer I noticed a jeep with some real bad faded plastic. I thought mine didn't look new anymore when I saw some newer TB's but mine was not sun scorched etc. After some research I bought Mothers Back to Black and apply it maybe twice a year. I let it saturate before wiping clean. Doesn't look bad.Capote said:In my experience using plastic restore speeds up the fading, that's why I eventually painted all my trim. Perhaps next time I will do a before/after/week later pics to see how much it really works. Then an after winter pic too![]()
Check your battery connections and have your battery load tested at a parts store.kjkim93 said:Just realized every time I start my car the clock on the radio is reset and the lights are super dim. When it starts up everything lights up just the way it should. The hell man. [emoji22][emoji23]
