Nope no sanding its Rustoleom Brand its a very minimum coat im betting once I do 2 and 3 I will get that traditional rough texture, once dried it had a texture but pretty minimal. I only used MAYBE 1/4 of that can so that will kind of tell the story but when I get back im going to get back on it because I want the rough texture.
I hate to tell you but you really need to sand the clear off the bed. It won't stick other wise and will just flake awake. I've used pretty much every major brand and none adhered very well to non-standard finishes.

Here is the link for my process and the last liner I did.

Screws usually work. Pick the appropriate size and ensure there's nothing behind what you're about to drill into. I can't recall the specific type of screw we use at work but it holds to PVC well and there's nothing special about them, just plain old stainless steel screws of various shapes, heads and lengths from what I can tell. If you ever decide to remove it, you'll of course have the hole(s) there unless you go all-out and get some of those button-style plastic covers that just snap over holes and paint them appropriately or something.

Depends a lot on your interval. Do you go by the %, or by a mileage? The official GM number is 1 quart every 3000 miles/kilometers (I can't remember which, but I'd rather go by miles, since that many km is not very many miles at all!) is acceptable. So if you've gone 7500, 1 quart is perfectly within spec, though not exactly the not-one-drop wonder-car some lucky folks around here have.
I know GM, in the owner's manual, states to use the %, and so I've been using a combo of both. I was doing 30% or 5,000 miles, whichever came first. But this last one was just over 2 quarts for 5,200 miles (I was planning to change it but had the issue first). I added a quart around 1,800 miles, another around 3,500. When I dropped it off todayt wasn't a full quart down. I made sure that the shop knew that it was chewing through oil after they did the last repair.

Do you know (or anyone else) where I can find the official GM number (1qt / 3,000 miles) published? I want to make sure they see that.

It moved under its own power again last night.

Checked tire pressures. While I was there I figured I'd look at the upper ball joints... both have a nice crack going all the way around the rubber.

Anyone got suggestions on brands for ball joints? I figure the lowers are cracked too.

I got the duralast upper ball joints with the lifetime warranty from autozone.

ETA: I almost forgot the most important thing. Thank you to Regulator for rebuilding the trans and bringing out and spending the weekend helping me install it. Thank you Grimor (I think that's your screen name) for all your help as well. If you weren't there, i'm sure Matt and I would still be trying to get it lined up. I owe you guys. Yall rock.

A week ago I had z71 springs put on. Sure it was a stiffer ride empty but with gear and family on our trip this weekend, it was great and nice to not have my backend sagging anymore.

Looks to sit nice and level. How much you figure is loaded in there in the picture?

I'm just having a hard time finding a good set of 20 for my Envoy. The ss wheels look the best but no one has any around me.
Could be helpful to fill out your user info. If someone happens to catch something on Ebay or Craigslist, knows you're looking, and knows you're nearby, they may shoot you a heads up. :twocents:

Minus the hood.
GET THE HOOD!!
That hood is really badass.

Where are you, BTW? Asking because you noted selling your old wheels. Not like I've got $$ but maybe or if I hear I can refer.

Why, yes I can.

TSB 01-06-01-011B
Subject: Information on Engine Oil Consumption Guidelines
Models: All 1998-2006 Passenger Cars and Gasoline Powered Light Duty Trucks Under 8500 LB GVW (Including Saturn)

.....
Oil Consumption
The accepted rate of oil consumption for engines used in the vehicles referenced is 0.946 liter (1 qt) in 3200 km (2000 mi).
.....

Then it goes on to talk about the ridiculously-tiny 36000 mile warranty (50000 for Cadillac!) for determining this and that. I'm sure there's a newer version of the same TSB floating around that the only change is that the model years are updated to include the more current years.

Thank you very much. So 1 quart for 2,000 miles. Anyone want to buy those 4 cases of Mobil 1 that I won? I haven't claimed them yet, so they'd get delivered to your door. Your choice of flavors, etc. I guess I will post this in the for sale section, but until I do (tomorrow) you can certainly PM me.

I got the exhaust done on my Denali. Stainless Borla system. Sounds great. I also found out why you don't see duals often on these. Because with all the fuel lines and filler neck mess above the rear axle you really shouldn't. He told me I could but he couldn't guarantee I wouldn't damage something with the heat exposure. Because I saved so much on the single side I am getting the front windows tinted tomorrow.

Put OEM SS ft pads and rotors on today. Will see how long it takes to spin my Duratracs on the rims.

Rotated the tires just so that I could check all of the joints since I noticed the upper ball joints were cracked around the rubber. Sway bar end links on both front sides also have cracked rubber. lower ball joints looked fine though.

Well 3 years and some 30K miles later, I decided to clean the throttle body.
I did get a P1700 code a few weeks ago. And just yesterday she was shuttering with AC on. I'd say it was the dirty a$$ throttle body.

Front side

Back side

That's Better

Much Better

No more RPM surging and a nice smooth idle now.

Also decided to try and take care of this annoying rubber squeak like sound, when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right.
This is what I did...

Remove lower dash pieces

Suspicious shaft area

Removed metal plate for easier access

Lubed the crap out of it with Honey Goo

And the result...no squeaky squeaky any more.

I might have you all beat today. Authorized (not sure why I had to authorize, it's under warranty) a GM rebuilt motor.

Man that would make a good article. I've got a faint dry squeegee sound in mine too. It's not at the annoy stage yet, but it's there.

I probably didn't. They called me and told me what they found, their next step, and at the end the guy just says, "just wanted to let you know before we move forward."

Not thrilled with it having less than 90K miles (2006, so 9 years old, less than 10K miles / year) and needing a new motor. But with new motor I'll be keeping the Mobil 1 I won.
