Gave mine a big drink to bring it back from the brink of starvation. Squeezed out 384 miles to this tank, low fuel light came on during this morning's commute. Right around 16 mpg like always.

wish the chicgo area reg was that cheap. 3.619 @ Sam's Club and that's w/ a 5% discount. :hissyfit:

Was that a lot of stop n go traffic blckshdw? My ext with a stuck open thermostat can go 400 miles on the interstate and still have a quarter tank left.

Mostly commuting, so yeah 80% stop and go. Rarely any highway time, or steady cruising unless it's at night on weekends. Plus I've got larger tires on it.

OK I'm 99% sure I found my power steering leak this time!

There is a plastic part that sticks out the back of the reservoir for a wire clip to attach to. Well, it appears that got hit in transit as I found it was cracked and found a crack right in the side of the reservoir. Very small crack so not noticeable at first glance. Or second or third for that matter. Since I have long already thrown out my old bad pump that had a good res on it :duh: I thought what the heck, cleaned the oil from the plastic, and absolutely smothered the area with RTV :dielaugh:
Hey, it isn't under pressure, so it may hold, right? What have I got to lose? Worst case is it leaks again and I have to find a new reservoir.

While I had it out I replaced my rusted oil dipstick tube. Dang those fit in there tight. Was a bear to get the old one out and the new one pushed all the way back in.

Serpentine belt and spark plugs are next, but I'll do those tomorrow sometime.

Cowl and wiper arms are back on. Looks way better than the faded plastic and worn off black paint. Decided to go with plasti dip to match the rear step pad.

Also here is the rear step pad plasti dipped that I never posted.

Refilled power steering (so far it seems no leaks) and replaced the serpentine belt. Spark plugs can wait, it was spitting rain at me.

Unpacked it from the trip.

Popped the hood and looked at the cleanish engine bay of the TBSS then decided I didn't have time to change the oil. So, I drove my GMT800 to work

Washed and cleaned the whole rig

Drove 100 miles ...averaged 23.2 mpg

Cleaned and Conditioned all the leather..

Air conditioning test two.....ice cold

Pulled the air suspension and put in coils and new shocks. Expected it to be a pain in the a** on a 10 year old truck up here in the salt belt but it was a piece of cake.
Funny how something that you think is going to be difficult is easy sometimes and other times you takes two hours trying to undo one bolt.

Psyco killer got a good cleaning out, vacuuming, and all the inside glass cleaned. Also cleaned out and organized cargo area, put up the grocery net/basket thing that I didn't know I had. Might take her for a wash later to complete the job. :)
