Moved the travel trailer around the yard a little, ran power to the trailer and got my "red wire" ready. I noticed that the fuse was blown so I found a spare one and will test it all tomorrow with the trailer to make sure the Trailer battery charges when hooked up.

Cleaned out the glove box....found a pair of sunglasses I thought I lost, and all the registration papers for the Travel trailer.

Cleaned out the cargo area. Found two DMM two pairs of safety glasses, three pairs of needle nose pliers.....the list goes on! Three blakets, a rain jacket....it was long over due!

Where did you get the ones you had? For the 3157s and 194s, I got mine from Autolumination. When I changed to the 5050 SMD switchback strips, I got them from iJDMToy, who also sells 3157 bulbs.

I bought them from eBay. Lol. I'll probably try iJDMtoy again.

I recently purchased some 194, 212, and 3157 LEDs from seller dt-autotech on EBay. They were the new 5630 SMDs and they are very bright compared to the 5050 SMDs. Below is a link to his store and the list of 3157 switchback LEDs that he has. He is out of CA, and I received my LEDs on the East coast in only a couple days.

Enjoyed the nice cold AC today, and thrilled that the only drips under the truck was AC condensation. No more PS leak, my RTV blob patch has worked!

Got up bright and early to remove my 3rd row seats. Considering I've only had people sit back there 3 times in the 5 years I've owned the truck, I figure might as well take them out, push my subs up against the back of the 2nd row seats, and have the rest of the space for cargo, without having to worry about putting the 3rd row seats up or down.

The front of the seats are held down by bolts, but the rear of the seats are held down by nuts over studs. So I'll have to be careful not to damage things on the center one, since it sticks up a few inches :ugh:

use the stud as a mount for something so that you don't tear something up.

If I had something that needed to be secured down, that would be my first thought. My sub box is almost small enough to fit into the 3rd row seat footwell. Ghenny440 suggested I get some doweling to use as feet on the backside of the box to prop it up so it sits level, which I'm going to do later.

Other than that, only stuff I throw back there regularly is my canopy, beach chair(s), cooler, basketball gear and groceries. I put the cargo tray in the upright position, so it will sort of be in the way. After this move though, I'm not trying to throw anything big and/or heavy in my truck for a good while.

Well to everyone's surprise, yes i actually take the beaSSt out of the garage from time to time :rotfl:

She was thirsty, so i decided to fill her up, take a little joy ride to the grocery store, and came right back home to tuck her into the garage.

Cleaned the air filter, added a quart of Lucas to the transmission, drag raced a ZX3 Focus with rims and exhaust, Shredded said ZX3, Topped of oil, and PCM reset.

I'm loving that transmission cooler I can feel a difference, it shifts a little firmer and seems to pull better. Some of that could be the Lucas Treatment as well? I also Put a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer in the crankcase.

I used to have a semi tuned zx3.. rims, forced cold air, exhaust... I would have probably been smoked. Not enough power, not without SERIOUS modding. Good job, sir. Close race?

I started pulling on him when vvt kicked in on 1st gear, by the time I started pulling thru second he was about 4 cars back. i tacked out second and let off approaching a red light, he was approx 7 cars back. Then the idiot almost rear ended me, he slid into the emergency lane next to me. I was about to beat his ASS lol

I've seen way too many reports of Lucas causing fluid and oil foaming to trust it in anything I cared about :lipsrsealed:

Did it's annual oil change...then found the passengers side CV looks to be toast. Grease everywhere, but the good news is Rock Auto has Cardone units for $37.

I tried to figure out how I could fool my stock 2006 head unit (no Bose) into believing it was hooked up to an XM radio signal. Purpose; to use it as a AUX input. The plug is there behind the glove compartment, but no XM radio unit. The wiring diagram shows a BLK/WHT wire between the head unit and the XM receiver labeled as "RADIO ON SIG". Not sure if that wire should be 12v, gnd, or something else. For some reason it seems to have about 1.5v on it from the head unit. I think that wire will fool the head unit to believe I have XM, then I could hit the BAND button till it read XM, and it would then receive audio input from a aux device.
Any ideas? It got dark and stormy before I figured much out

Awesome!
:undecided: Did you get those 5630 style lights that he got? Or something with the smaller, more common sized LEDs?

I ripped out my switchback strips, after having more problems that appear to be related to the strip itself, rather than the control module as suspected, and ordered a set like he got. They should be here tomorrow.

They weren't strips, just looked like bulbs with a good 30 or so LEDs on them, half amber, half white.

I believe all the ones I gave you were 5050s. I changed all my lights out with the 5630s.

Have you personally had your fluid foam up from using Lucas additives?
No, but I've had no need to try it when others have had issues with Lucas additives, and regular, decent oil has worked just fine for 200k miles on my TB, 106k miles on my Camaro, and many more thousands of miles on my previous vehicles...

Indeed they are, and because of the lessened power draw from the turn signals/side markers, the headlights are a bit brighter too.
