Since I finished up my clear corners, I knew I'd need some new led's since the ones I had behind the amber lenses have only 3 forward facing led's. Now that things are clear and no reflectors, I wanted more light in there. So I ordered a 13 smd 194 set (7 firing forward, 1 on each of the 4 sides & 2 on the back) giving me a 360* angle of light output. Can't wait to get this all dialed in and take some night pix

Took a short trip up the PA turnpike (America's first superhighway!) and then onto PA 51 to an auto salvage yard. 20+ acres of cars, pretty much any part you'd ever need. Scored a new right front fender liner to replace my cracked one. Also a tire tool to replace the factory one of mine that I broke while using it as a prybar. $25 for both parts, $1.60 each way for the turnpike, and a pleasant half hour drive each way. I think I did alright.

Installed the new fender liner when I got back, and put the new tire tool in it's holder under the rear seat. The Voy's good to go now!

I did no such thing. If you're gonna tell people a story, at least tell them the right one. I paid off my roommate's fiance, so she would come home just after he got to our house, and to stand in the doorway with the door wide open so ALL 3 of the dogs would take off running for their freedom. That provided a nice bit of entertainment for me, since none of the dogs are my responsibility, before getting down to business. You becoming mosquito bait was just the cherry on top of the sundae.

Edit: Hell if I had been thinking about it, I would have had the camera rolling, so everyone else could properly appreciate your pursuit skills! :rotfl:

I prayed with it. Going down the highway at 50, and my low beams just decided to shut off. Couldn't pull over, turned on Cree fogs and went to gym. Checked the fuses and relay switched with fan clutch still didn't turn on. 10.mins later they were back on

They just come back on by themselves or did you jiggle anything? May want to start a thread on it.

I jiggled everything and checked all the connectors and they wouldn't turn on. And they just came back on. I'm about to make one after I check one more time. I shall go to auto part store and get new 9006 connectors, and a relay just to have it on me

Matched my new TMPS sensors and ordered some new chrome acorn closed ended lug nuts to replace the open ended stock lugs. The stock ones do not go well with the new TBSS wheels since the lugs are exposed and you can see the end of the studs. Plus more protection from the elements.

Looking at Autotrader just to see what's out there. Found another 02 that at least in the pics looks exceptionally clean and is a one owner vehicle. They are asking top dollar for it though, $6300. Also some 03s and 04s for a cheaper than that but look a little more worn.

I'm looking specifically at green ones right now  Which means that 04 is the newest with my shade of green and 05 or 06 is the last green of any darker shade

Figure I might as well look around while it isn't an emergency I guess. I'd rather put the money towards a house down payment, but a vehicle is rather important.

Put some new wipers on it. Rain-x fusions! 26 on driver and 22 on passenger. Then cleaned the windshield with some abrasives to imbedded dirt off!

I adjusted my parking brakes at the wheels. Thanks to rmsg0040 for the guidance!

I also tried to diagnose a misfire at idle on cylinder 2. Swapped coils and plugs between 2 and 3, but it persists on 2. I have some searching to do.

1st day above 50 degrees and sunny, so I cued the music and got to work!

Removed my oil filter adapter, oil filter, removed the old turbo oil return line into the pan and capped the part fitting that is tapped into the pan, took off the running boards, re-installed the exhaust manifold, cut off the old exhaust entirely, and fab'd up the new exhaust setup --> (3" from manifold to tip. no cat, no muffler)

Tomorrow: needs new oil / filter, ceramic coat the exhaust, add 4" to the MAF sensor harness wires to reach the new intake location by the intake instead of where the turbo used to be located.

Not mine, but played Read-The-Codes. Roommate's mom has an 06 Envoy EXT 4.2.

P0014, P0128, P0506. the 0506 may be from the 0014 or from something else, like the lazy-looking O2 sensor. Peaks out at about 0.75 rather than 0.9, LTFT was at +15  laundry list, but their dad will likely take it down to the stealership for service (usual course of action and his choice so whatev). I can see the following happening for sure:

CPAS
Thermostat (+ replacement coolant)
O2 sensor
Possible diagnosis of unmetered air, such as loose intake manifold or MAF sensor. Also the fan sounded like it was going full-bore for not even being up to proper temperature thanks to the 0128, so fan clutch may be getting done, too. And the liner on the underside of the hood is loose. And the 20A lighter fuse was blown, bummed the one out of my truck to get the codes read.

I noticed a leak that ran down onto my front differential case. It is orange-ish looking and oily. Thought it was the seal. I replaced the outer seal and changed to fluid to purple. It is still leaking. I don't know what it could be.

I have 186k on my Envoy. I replaced the valve cover gasket recently, the 6 coil packs, the outer driverside seal, changed the front diff fluid, added a trans cooler, dropped the trans pan and did a filter change.

The leak is coming from somewhere on the driverside of oil pan/differential area. There is a little smoke where the oil pan seals which I assume is the oil being hot after running it.

I do not know where to go from here...

It isnt differential fluid, it is now purple. The coolant level is fine. ahhhhhaoidghaoirhg

I didn't do anything TO my Envoy today. I lightened my wallet FOR it. Don't know why I hadn't thought about it before, but bought some McGard locking lug nuts, and also an electronic air horn and speaker. Lug nuts came from eBay ($19.99, 3x $5 off coupons, free shipping, total $4.99; very good price on used air horn amp and speaker.) Everything should be here by the weekend. Of course, my weekends are getting busy with other stuff. But I'll get the stuff put in. I thought I'd have the HIDs in but it's been raining all week and I need a few minutes to get the DRL killer done. Got the relay all wired, just need to clip the wire, and tap the other two. The air horn has electrical control switches on it as well, so I'll add my extra lights, USB block, inverter, and still have 3 open spaces for options.

Still waiting for some LEDs that I ordered to arrive from China.:wootwoot:

Removed the side step boards from Judith and did some much needed undercarriage cleaning. It's been wet and muddy at work so she's been a little dirty from the grass lots I drive her through. Looking to get some wheel spacers to spread her stanct a bit until new wheels are purchased. Also thinking seriously about doing a resonator delete but not sure if it's needed for New York state inspection. I washed her down a bit and cleaned all the ski gear out of her and now the ski rack is a fishing rod rack...KCCO y'all

Replaced the run channel on the passenger door window on my 2004 Envoy XUV today. Acutally spent more time looking for an post on doing it than I spent actually doing it. The previous owner had let it sit closed with the window out of the channel on the top and it had perminately deformed the channel and it would whistle at highway speeds and would leak whenever I washed the truck.

The steps were pretty staight forword.

1. Remove door trim
2. Remove speaker
3. Peal back weather seal to uncover the channel bolt on the front side and to be able to unbolt the glass on the edge side. (can get to the bolt from where the speaker was on the front side).
4. Lower window and loosen bolts holding glass into the regulator
5. Slide glass up and work out of door and set aside
6. Remove rubber trim where glass slides into the door (both sides)
7. Unbolt old window channel
8. Pull old channel out of door (I started on the door edge side and pulled it down through the door and then worked the other end free)
9. Work the new window channel into rough posistion aligning the bottom edges (where the inside rubber is cut away)
10. Push channel into posistion (at first it seamed like it was too long but once it was in place it fit just right)
11. Bolt channel to door.
12. Slide / work glass back into posiston (I didn't clean the bottom of the glass so I could see where to reclamp it to the regulator)
13. Tighten bolts on the regulator.
14. Reinstall speaker and door trim.

Tools needed - 10mm regular and deep well socket for door, channel and window clamps and 7mm for speaker. Trim tools are helpful. New window channel p/n 15857605 (bought from GMPartsCenter.net as they had the best shipping rate)

The only issue I had was one of the clips holding the door / window controls broke during removal even tough I used some trim tools. Perhaps I didn't push it straight up. Had to glue it with some solvent.

Also replace the two switches on the end gate that control if the door swings or drops on the XUV. I also replace the clips that the center switch screws into as one had fallen apart from rust last time I took the old switch out to repair them. The new switch is p/n 22747152 and seems to be sealed better than the old one. The clip / nut was p/n 11610157 and also seems to incorporate a rubber seal.

I also need to replace one of the screws! Does anyone know of a good GM fastner cross reference?

Next is to replace the midgate regulator!

Hope this might help someone else as many of the post's on this site have help me!
