Removed my oil filter adapter, oil filter, removed the old turbo oil return line into the pan and capped the part fitting that is tapped into the pan, took off the running boards, re-installed the exhaust manifold, cut off the old exhaust entirely, and fab'd up the new exhaust setup --> (3" from manifold to tip. no cat, no muffler)
Tomorrow: needs new oil / filter, ceramic coat the exhaust, add 4" to the MAF sensor harness wires to reach the new intake location by the intake instead of where the turbo used to be located.

The previous owner had let it sit closed with the window out of the channel on the top and it had perminately deformed the channel and it would whistle at highway speeds and would leak whenever I washed the truck.
The steps were pretty staight forword.
1. Remove door trim
2. Remove speaker
3. Peal back weather seal to uncover the channel bolt on the front side and to be able to unbolt the glass on the edge side. (can get to the bolt from where the speaker was on the front side).
4. Lower window and loosen bolts holding glass into the regulator
5. Slide glass up and work out of door and set aside
6. Remove rubber trim where glass slides into the door (both sides)
7. Unbolt old window channel
8. Pull old channel out of door (I started on the door edge side and pulled it down through the door and then worked the other end free)
9. Work the new window channel into rough posistion aligning the bottom edges (where the inside rubber is cut away)
10. Push channel into posistion (at first it seamed like it was too long but once it was in place it fit just right)
11. Bolt channel to door.
12. Slide / work glass back into posiston (I didn't clean the bottom of the glass so I could see where to reclamp it to the regulator)
13. Tighten bolts on the regulator.
14. Reinstall speaker and door trim.
Tools needed - 10mm regular and deep well socket for door, channel and window clamps and 7mm for speaker. Trim tools are helpful. New window channel p/n 15857605 (bought from GMPartsCenter.net as they had the best shipping rate)
The only issue I had was one of the clips holding the door / window controls broke during removal even tough I used some trim tools. Perhaps I didn't push it straight up. Had to glue it with some solvent.
Also replace the two switches on the end gate that control if the door swings or drops on the XUV. I also replace the clips that the center switch screws into as one had fallen apart from rust last time I took the old switch out to repair them. The new switch is p/n 22747152 and seems to be sealed better than the old one. The clip / nut was p/n 11610157 and also seems to incorporate a rubber seal.
I also need to replace one of the screws! Does anyone know of a good GM fastner cross reference?
Next is to replace the midgate regulator!
Hope this might help someone else as many of the post's on this site have help me!
