Thank you guys for the awesome comments , I promise this will only get better this shoot was new equipment straight out of the box already have ideas to improve things...get rid of that annoying shake on those 1st shots and shooting in the right video setting may help . Definitely intend to have audio once I can get my hands on a decent mic I refuse to fill the video with just wind noise. Do have a GoPro coming so we will see what we can make happen with that, should have a new & better teaser posted Tuesday.

Thanks  It it works when im signaling left, and works when i leave the high beams on. other than that i checked the relays and fuses, the bulb, and the factory harness.

Checked on mine, and flash to pass works when signalling to either side. Since the flash to pass and turn signals work independantly, I don't think there are any problems with your wiring, bulbs, fuses and relays. The one thing both of those functions have in common is the switch stalk on the steering column. My guess is, when the stalk is in the "up" position to signal right, something in there is broken so when you pull the stalk back for flash to pass, the function isn't being told to engage. But when it's in the neutral or down position, it does.

If you know any members in your area, I'd say try doing a swap to confirm. Looks like Rock Auto has replacements ranging from $70-103 :twocents:

Edit: Did you mean to say flash to pass works when signalling both directions when your LOW beams are on? My auto lights were on since it was still dark out when I left, and I didn't try shutting them off to test.

That fender well mud you see is from my driveway, its gravel, but since the thaw has started it has turned into a mushy mess. I was hoping to make the old Forteras last a little longer but they were getting dangerous, especially if the road was wet, let's just say this was an interesting winter with those old skins. Note of warning to others - my Forteras didn't last very long, almost 26k, even with my incessant checking of pressure and proper care and rotation. Hopefully these will last longer, I know they already ride and handle a ton better!

I just couldn't resist of piecing it back together so I could see what it looked like. I didn't silicone anything yet, I just wanted to be giggidy for a minute or two :rotfl: (this was before I painted the bezel...

now that the bezels are painted, I will go out and buy the RTV and get everything sealed up and see how they look... so far, Carlton's article was spot on... This is definitely easier to do on OEM lights over aftermarket.

Uninstalled my HID's - Being broke has made it so I cant afford the 10 dollar expense to buy new HID headlights. So I installed the old headlights that I took out over 2 years ago.

I recently served on a Jury panel in a Murder trial. I know its my civic duty, and all that. But the pay of 250 a week (50 a day) does not serve well when I am used to making over 1g a week. Have to dip into my savings account to pay my bills now.

My workplace gives you full pay for the day for jury duty days. Feels good man, though I've never had to serve on one yet.

I drove mine on down to the barber, and am pondering giving it a wash since it's a pretty nice day out.

Parked the Buick Reindeer until I can replace the wheel bearings. They got exponentially worse over the past few days. The noise is louder than a Metallica concert now.

I took my chances with the cheap bearings and got 1 year out of 1 and 18 months out of the other. Timkens are going in.

Metallica concerts aren't loud - Lars Ulrich is too afraid someone outside the venue might hear the music without paying for it :rotfl:

Oh I didn't say things went smoothly :rotfl:. Lots of trial and error. First I bought a set of used oem lights on ssowners for $65. So I thought, well I could hack these up and if I fail, im only out $65. Well I did screw them up, but Carlton wouldnt let me quit and guided me on what steps to take. So then I purchashed a pair of Vision headlights since I knew what I was doing now but they are glued together totally different and cutting them wasnt working for me so I set them down so I didnt ruin them and could use them if I ever needed to in the future. So I just took off my factory lights and went at it. Had to do some trial and error as well with the light lens and heating them with a heat gun (not propane) but I finally got it all dialed in and cant wait to finish this up.

You couldnt pay me enough :raspberry:. While this has been fun to do, it's only something I want to do once. Mad respect to Smitty for being a vendor on this.

Mom's been complaining about not having enough light from her foglights, so a few days ago I adjusted em up a little bit. Still not good, so this evening I picked up a set of 893 Silverstar bulbs and put em in. (They don't make 893 in SS Ultra) Now they match her SS Ultras that she has in the lows and they put out a noticeable bit more light. I'd definitely recommend that anyone who is going to change foglight bulbs and stick with regular bulbs go ahead and get the brighter 893s instead of the stock 880s.

If she isn't happy with this, my next step will be to dig into my squirreled away extra diode supply and do the quad mod in the fuse box under the hood, maybe even go full frontal assault like mine and go with the 6-hi mod. :undecided:

When I was still using halogen bulbs I was running the 893s as well. No where as bright as HIDs, but brighter than the 880s. I think the 893 is 37.5w and the 880 is 27.5w.

Noticed one of my LEDs for my license plate light burnt out. Pulled off the cover and the weather stripping was about as thick as a piece of paper. No wonder water was getting under the cover.

Picked up some multipurpose weather stripping from Advanced Auto. This stuff was thick and had to cut the thickness in half. Hopefully I will not have a moisture issue again.

Also, finally fixed my passenger side reverse bulb socket in my IPCW tails. Found the contact for the base of the bulb was sticking on the bottom of the socket and losing contact.

That's a hell of an accomplishment bro, good job!

I know the thread is what I did today, but I want to cover the last week. On Tuesday, I installed a remote start in the TB. I don't know how I ever lived without one of those. I love going outside to a defrosted and warm truck. Then, yesterday, I changed my front stabilizer bar bushings and links. I've been having an issue with squeaking in the front end during bumpy turns. I already adjusted the hood bumpers and that didn't solve it, so hopefully this will. While in there, I realized that I have to change everything else. Shocks, mounts and ball joints are already on order.

It's gonna handle and ride so much better that you'll think you've got a new truck!

A side note - If the front struts need replacing, and the back shocks haven't been done either, then while you're at it throw some new back ones on there too. It takes literally 3-5 minutes per side, you don't even have to jack it up or take off the wheels to get to em, you'll thank yourself with how much better it rides.

My son outgrew his first socks so I had to install one of his black/grey/red ones to go with the theme of the truck.

Started off the day changing the oil in it since we are heading out of town tomorrow, you know trying to treat the trailie right. This evening im pulling the trailer with three fourwheelers on it and i put the shifter into 2 while in the neighborhood. Go to put it back in drive and well it stayed in 2. So for the 4th time the shifter cable came off of the transmission. (It was held on with zipties and silicone tape) I then pull into a church parking lot to fix it and realized my toolbag with zip ties and tape is at home. Lucally enough tape was still on the arm so i could get it to hang on enough to put in neutral to restart and back in drive to get home. So finally i decided to fix it right. Talked with my dad he said draw what you want and we will make it. So i drew design one and went to drill out the shifter arm and the thing is to hard to drill so back to the drawing board. Got design two drawn and off to the lathe we go. Thanks to my dad and his tool collection were back in action. Pretty happy with the end product!

I got the tweeters installed Saturday, and yesterday was not very productive I started on the baffles for the Mids 7" instead of the 6.5" that came stock.

If the price point is below the kit sold by ATF, he could make some good money. Some of us non offroad guys have had this part break as well
