Got the lowers of the truck today, still waiting on SummitRacing to deliver the back half of the lowers. Called them yesterday and they said they had just been shipped, placed that order back on Dec 3rd!!!!! :hissyfit:

Just looked up the Carfax. Didn't buy the report, it'll show you how many reports it has without a purchase. When I bought it, it had 17 (dealer provided me with a copy, also)

Now, it reports having 23. It's only been in a shop once for replacement tires, everything else I DIY. Interesting. Perhaps since we have to report mileage in WV for inspection, it includes that. Not paying $40 to find out.

Anyone have the unlimited plan want to be a gentleman and a scholar and run my info so I can see these mystery reports?

Good idea. Farm jacks actually have more use than just vehicles, and even then offers benefits a regular jack doesn't (offroaders would know!)

Honestly I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid. I remember finding one at grandma's house out on the farm and setting it up where you'd slap the tire iron and it'd click-click its way back down to the bottom. Good times, man, thanks for the throwback

Sold, titled, registered, inspected, and service all get reported. So you can probably assume 2-3 of those is just from the purchase.

LOL, we used to use them when I was younger, old and rusty but they still worked. They should be standard equipment for most off roaders and I did not plan on picking one up for a little while. The price however was too enticing. Funny thing was I went in for a cone of shame for the dog.

Played in a little snow the other night.

Washed off the salt and grime today. It's not fun getting the crud off the bottom on a lowered truck.

Used the TB as a first class gondola, played in the snow with both my rides, and got some awesome mileage, and still driving

Not bad. Last night I reset my economy after setting cruise at 45. A bit of 45, a good stretch of 55, and a bit of 40, about a 20 minute drive, got 23.7 by the time I pulled up in front of my house, mostly level travel just one part where there's a decent grade. Not steep, just long. This is with the 3.73 axle.

I wonder how much it'll go up when I get those spark plugs done :undecided:

I had the same problem...soldered up some copper that I had laying around and it makes the chore easy to do while standing.

Wow I am in love with this truck. I wish I had known about the Saab Counterparts before I bought mine.

Amazing Ride!

When we had the -14 degrees last week, the truck would start, but turned over slowly. (I don't understand why. :rotfl:)
I load tested the battery and it registered in the high OK range. It probably would've lasted until spring but, the local Farm and Fleet had a 10% sale on their Duration AGM battery and with (relatively) warmer weather on the way, I bought one.
So, short story long, took about an hour to change the battery because the bolt for the hold down clamp just spins. It won't loosen. Luckily the bar over the top will hold the battery in place. Another job for warmer weather.

Wait thats really the name of the manufacturer. :blinkhuh:. I am assuming that it is an ebay or other Chinese type radio. If you dont mind me asking what was the price and how difficult was it to change the background? Of all the radios I have owned I have never attempted to change the background, let alone do I know If they had the ability.

I bet it works better than the POS Clarion the fiances Jetta.

I got sucked into the deal when I went to frys. I was originally just wanting a double din with a USB input. Simple enough, then I saw for 40 bucks more I could get this DP Audio. Before I knew it, I was sliding my debit card and they were installing. When I got home, I wanted to check out the companies website & to my shock...their website is "coming soon." The unit was 140 (I found it for up to 240 at other places.) 60 for the wiring harness, more if you have on star hooked up. 85 for install, 20 for the adapter. 15 for the bribe so the installer wouldn't hook up the video to e brake, so I can use the video while car is in motion. And 25 for 3 year full coverage warranty through frys. In the end it was 376. The video quality is excellent. We watched mad men in the parking structure and it was great. It has bluetooth phone calls. To test it, I called my mom on it first. She's the type that on a land line, articulating perfectly will say things like..."what did you say? what? huh?" she heard me loud and clear haha

Oh, and the background. On the setup menu, there is a button called "logo." it has a bunch of different car make logos. Chevrolet was on their as well. It only pops up for two seconds when the unit starts up *every time the car starts. It was fairly easy. I don't know if it does custom backgrounds yet. That was the logo I wanted, and it was pre installed so I quit looking into it haha.

messed around with the left rear tail light, just to find out that the board inside must be bad, and that's total guess though

the brake light doesn't work on that side, but the turn signal, reverse and running light work....right side is gtg

time to get a set of ANZO's for the back along with the Avalanche 3rd brake light

also got a quote on my windshield, i'm not going to pay $500 deduct for a $240 replacement from SafeLite

need to do these before I get a fix it ticket :hissyfit:

I assume you already replaced the brake light bulb? Each bulb has 2 filaments.

I've only ever replaced one windshield and that was from prior damage done by the previous owner of my old car (I think he used sandpaper as wipers ), but since that only cost me $200 ish I can't see the reason to even bother with insurance on a replacement of a standard windshield. Just a mark on the record with no benefit
