Got it dirty this weekend playing around off road. So gave her a good wash and wax. Restored the headlights to remove the oxidation and got a large scratch removed from my passenger side.

Drove it to work for the first time in a week after the fuel pump change. Definitely not a placebo-effect, but there's a noticeable difference in drivability, I wish I had taken a fuel pressure reading before I changed the pump. There was occasional stumble, rough idle sometimes, but when accelerating, especially after a gear change it's a smoother transition.

How about "what did you find living in your truck"

Every so often I've noticed I'll come out to my truck in the morning and there is this spider web on my liftgate across the license plate insert area to the bumper. I found it a little amusing and I never saw the spider. Figured it was a small spider that I just wasn't seeing but it was a larger web.

Well this morning I came out, and there was the nice big web again. Went to open the liftgate to get something out and then I saw it. Big, black spider crawled across the gate and disappeared somewhere up where the bulbs are. Not sure what type it was, but it was pretty big

I opened the side door, reached over the seat to get what I needed, and drove the Camaro today! I need to get some bug spray and empty the can on the back of the truck :rotfl:

Those things are vicious. Throw a camel spider in an empty MRE box with any other insect and they usually come out on top. We did catch one that was slightly bigger than a half dollar and threw a frog in the box with it. The next day, only the frog was left. You have to find some entertainment while on deployment

I have had orange and white wheels previously. Currently have bare aluminum and black chrome plus this set. I really liked the white, but the black chrome just has a special place with me, since no one had them or really most had not seen them when I got them. I don't push chrome, I just think painted/plastidipped black wheels look ghetto and cheap.

Other thing I am doing today is fighting the POS plasti-dip on my hood. Does NOT peel off as easy as they say once it has been on awhile. Shit sucks. Comes off in tiny bits like an old sticker. Did not hurt the paint, but is a pain in the ass.

The double sided tape on the 3rd brake light housing thing isn't sticking on the passenger side, gotta redo that today. Also gotta run a bead of black silicone around the headlights so its not so visible anymore and maybe some silicone in the rear door weather stripping because its starting to sag

Compounded and waxed last night to prepare for the car show thursday night

Also heres a pic from the weekend at the cottage

I just ordered 24 SMD panels for mine. I'm hoping they will fit. I have the double dome lights, push button style.

I have the push button style lights, and the 48 SMD led's fit. 2 in the front, 2 in the middle, and you can splice wires together to make 2 fit in the rear (with a little cutting of the plastic bracket). Also KIND OF fits in the license plate lights, the covers hold them in place even though they're a little big.

Did some maintenance yesterday, I'll upload pics in a bit.

Only took 2 pics, oh well I got more stuff to do in a week or two I'll try to snap more then.

Grabbed 12 quarts of Dex VI, 2 oil filters (already had 1, and I just picked up 3 boxes of Oil when Costco had it on sale), a trans filter kit, a pack of oil change boxes, and a gallon of Dex Cool.

Dropped the Trans pan, drained the fluid, cleaned the pan and magnet, changed the filter and seal, then bolted the pan back up. Filled it up with about 4 quarts, then flushed the system until clean fluid was coming out. Put the trans line back in then changed the oil. When I went to start up the truck to make sure there was no leaks, the damn trans line popped out of the radiator and started spraying FAST.

This was after using 3 big towels and walking on them to draw up the fluid. It was horrible, it was only running for about 5 seconds until it got to that point. Looked like a huge puddle of blood. I think what happened is I didn't push the trans line into the radiator enough for the clip to catch correctly. Ended up putting down a bunch of simple green, scrubbing with a push broom, and shampooing the carpet. Can still see the red circle >.>

Had to run back up to Napa to buy 3 more quarts of fluid and put the trans line back in correctly. After that it was fine, shifts are definitely smoother now.

What kind of LED bar is that? I like the low profile look.

3rd brake light housing double sided tape was completely off, pulled the old sandy tape and put new 3M tape on
Used the wet finger technique with black silicone to make the bead around the headlight nice and smooth
And put a bead of silicone in the weather striping
Also found an LED in my mirror turn signal burned out so i replaced that

Had to replace LR tire due to a grenade-looking pin embedded in the inside sidewall...... 9/32" of tread left, but the road-hazard policy came through. New tire, mount, balance, transfer of road-hazard to new tire.......$87. Would have been about $205 without. Now I need to wonder if it's going to work the LSD too much even being 4/32 difference....:undecided: Could move to the front but the other tires would just wear more increasing the size gap.

Find someone who has a non-G80 truck, put it on the rear right, and have them do a one wheel peel a few times to burn the excess rubber down a bit

I buy two new tires and save the good one left from the axle as a spare when the next flat comes. Never has and I've gained a couple hundred bucks over the past few years from reselling the lone tire online. Beats paying them a few bucks to take a tire they might resell anyways.

I'd also be concerned of tread depths all around for 4wd.

I would not worry much about 4/32nds. Can make up part of it with a couple PSI difference probably.

I think I have close to 10/32 diffence in tires on my truck right now and everything works fine. Even the locker. Just running the low one 5 psi higher and it seems fine.

I cleaned the throttle body today and installed 24smd led panels in the dome lights. I should have taken a before and after picture of the throttle body. It looked brand new when I got done with it.

Picked up a Kent Moore(GM special tool manuf.) J-44894 master cylinder adaptor on Ebay and using my KD power brake bleeder did the job in about an hour. There are many ways to do this but,I prefer the power(pressure) bleeder.

Changed plugs and wires. Noticed some oil blow through on Cylinder #7 but it didn't seem that bad. Should have taken pics of the old plugs and wires out, etc but I only took this one for the newest photo contest.
