Caught a guy taking pics of my truck with one of those $700 canon cameras while i was coming out of the mall
And then he got into his 2012 Audi RS6 v10 bi-turbo as i wondered why he'd take a pic of my truck while driving a 80,000 euro car

Weather was good, and I needed to get this done for a trip in just over 2 weeks:

View attachment 29754

150 ftlbs, yellow loctite and 8 years of grime and rust, those caliper brackets really didn't want to come off! :

View attachment 29755

Old pads still had a little life, but retaining clips were rusted to bits:

View attachment 29757

Had a minor issue with the clip for the e-brake. New one supplied with shoes had different structure and new screw pitch and diameter were different!? - re-used old one:

View attachment 29758

The side rails of the new e-brake shoes were also slightly taller. This made it difficult to install with insufficient clearance to get it past the clip when the shoe was inserted in the actuator:

View attachment 29759

After that, the inside copper washers on the banjo bolts fought me every step of the way, had to snip them off with side cutters which of course I didn't have beside me when I needed them. This made me lose a lot more fluid on the first side and let a lot more air into the system making bleeding more of a pain. All in all it took me over 7 hrs :frown:. And I'm still not happy with the e-brake adjustment, plus I ran out of time before work and didn't get the drag reduction clips on so I have to pull 'em off one more time, but the result was worth it:

View attachment 29761

Fronts are next up in a day or two, but I already broke all the bolts loose and without having to play around with an e-brake it should go much faster.

Do you mean you baked it instead of dremel tooling it to get it open?

What are you doing, putting in projectors?

What method are you going to use for removing that sticky stuff left over?

What is 3+4*7?

I meant right way as I didn't take a hammer to them. Lol.
As for cleanup and shit...I dunno. Lol

Billet grill came loose during last weekend trip to MIS. Reworked the mounting brackets and reattached, more solid now than original installation.

Today, I got a wheel alignment. That comes after 3 days or replacing engine mounts, one inner tie rod and boot, two lower control arms, one upper control arm, and all the ball joints. The trick is taking careful time and jumping in the pool when stressed. The day before that I replaced my A/C pulley. Once I bought the correct snap-ring plier set it was a piece of cake.
Drives like a new truck. Revved it up to 5,500 rpms and didn't notice until I looked at the gauge. Taking a 350 mile trip tomorrow.

Shocks are easier then changing the oil. Got the shocks in still waiting on A-Arms then I will delete the AIR and drop the front!!! Also checked the diff fluid while I had it up the royal purple is holding up MUCH better then the Mobil1+Additive. This might lean towards why my engine oil disappeared last interval Im going to stay away from Mobil.

Earlier this AM: I dropped my ride off at LINE-X Sprayon Bedliners, Protective Coatings, Truck Bed Coating, Floor Coating, Industrial Flooring . Should have it back by End of Day Friday. :wootwoot: Can't wait!

All this is getting coated with "Flat Black XTRA"
--Front Westin Safari Bar
--Front Bumper
--Rear Bumper
--the Monster Hook towhook
--along the sides. We setup a tape line and decided on: using the line from the top of the taillight, came forward right above both door handles, right above the front fender flare, then kinda brought it down to midway of the front headlight.
-and I think I covered everything to be done.....

And just now: I ordered For Apple Iphone 5 Universal Black Cellet Cigarette Lighter Socket Plug Car Mount Holder Cell Phone Dock Stand with Charging USB port - PH312 . I been looking for one of these for a while......

Just walked outside to check on my dog. Walked pass the truck and noticed either my rear windshield wiper just fell off ( I don't EVER use it) or a damn thief in the neighborhood needed it more than me. FUCKERS!! Some of the little plastic prongs are broke.

was hanging out with a few friends after work, and a guy with an SS pulled up, we started talking about the tb's and he says he's a member over at tbss, I'm trying to get him over here :raspberry:

helped him with some led issues he was having with his interior lighting and we exchanged ideas and talked about the direction our trucks were going in!
pretty cool guy, he deploys in 3 weeks, so he'll have downtime in country with nothing better to do

Guessing you did the calipers yourself and skipped the brackets? How are you finding the treatment (paint or whatever) to be holding up?

I added a cup holder. My arm rest was already jacked so I figured what the hell. filled it full of great stuff foam to help hold some of the broken plastic together.
