How do you strip a lugnut?

I have no idea this one lug was almost "soft" all the extractor sockets bit right through the thing without a problem, It initially started from using the stock under the seat wrench a while back torqued on an angle (my fault) and it was F*ed since then and like I said everything just literally dug through the lugnut.

Not really tough...wrong socket or lock key or the splines tear off tuner lugs

Drove it to work in case I have to bull through the SuperBowl crowds downtown here. Luckily I deal with minmal road closures, but I am only a couple blocks from the stadium. Actually coming in early this week to take off early Fri afternoon and avoid some of the craziness.

My first post on this site after lurking for a while! I got new tires today: BFG Rugged Terrains in 255/70R16. I've only driven a few miles on them but so far so good. Handling seems better and the TB is definitely a little taller.

SAR85 - Nice tires.

As for me I had to replace my antenna because it either fell off or some one took it. Not sure what happend.

Thanks! They are supposed to perform between the OEM Long Trails and the BFG ATs. They're fairly new to the market I believe but they have some good reviews for our platform.

Got the spare tire off - saturday 2 1/2 hours of frustration........
Fixed the defrost grid on the rear window - was broken in a lot of places but the little kit works great from permatek ($15) and still have lots left. - sunday and about 1 hour plus drying time
Took the rear tire hoist off - sunday 20 min
Replaced two front wheel bearings - local parts dealer wanted $265 for one but I got 2 on ebay new with one year warranty for $103 delivered to my door! today 2 1/2 hours

next - replace spare tire hoist hopefully by thursday if i can get one around here!

Drove it to buffalo to pick up some tools that I bought off ebay. Snagged a grey pneumatic impact socket set with magnetic inserts for $60. More than impressed so far.

Put my reflashed ECM from pcmforless in. I had the cel for the fan removed since I replaced the fan clutch with an 08 one.

I went to autozone to try and get LEDs for the interior lamps. found out they only had one in stock. Bought it anyway just to try it out and later try and get my hands on the others. I put it in and its pretty bad ass, but then i came home and found a set of ten of them on amazon for the same price i paid for the one stinkin bulb at AZ. Can't wait to get others... It's gonna be lit up like yankee stadium in my truck!

If you want BRIGHT, these are the ones you want. Search my post about LEDs for pics and how I set mine up.

I bought a set of center caps for my new wheels:
Went to the dealer to find the part number, and they wanted $27 each for them.
Purchased for $75, shipped.

I hate that those caps are so expensive I really need new ones

Thinking about doing these with motor city vinyl domed chevy emblems in black

I did take a look at those, but decided not because I couln't find the size - and I think those are larger than what I need.

Edit: those are 3 1/8" front diameter and my wheels only have an opening of 2 5/8".

Drove both my trucks and they are doing just fine.

Me007gold - The first pic of your truck makes the truck look real clean.

HARDTRAILZ - Great choice in tires.

Today, I blew my rear u-joint on my rear driveshaft apart. In the middle of a busy road during pre-rush hour. I called Triple A.
The double bad news is that my transfer case leaks a steady stream when my driveshaft isn't in there. If it didn't leak, then I couldn't use 4HI either because of massive front wheel torque shake.
I call it the February First Curse. Last February First, I was in an accident in which I hit a guardrail and got hit by a semi.

Tryed to get a good picture....FAIL

Free Set Of Snap Ons from my dad (He usually charges me lol) when he bough a set of pry bars...WIN

I hope next year you win the lottery on February first jeez.

Welll finally got around to changing these:

1. Serpentine belt
2. Bought sparks but havent changed them yet
3. Rear diff oil and front ( the front was nearly empty. The old owner never changed it I guess!) hope there isn't a leak somewhere!) crazy!
4. 4wd oil not yet but will today.

Here's what was pulled out from the front :(

Lost my key to the gas cap so did some surgery to get it open. I ended up pulling off the black cap and then manually turned the inner part..

What I concluded today is that my lock picking skills suck! Looks much easier on tv loool :)

Lots of maint being done on these GMTs.

Gotta start thinking about doing some myself.

Yes winter has been cancelled lol
