Feet i=on the dash really bugs my ass. I really do not like the foot prints there. But it is the wife so it is yes dear and I wipe it off later :hissyfit::hissyfit:

Maybe find one of those discovery channel programs that shows one being deployed and tell her what happens to her back if it deploys with her feet up there. My wife finally stopped doing this when I showed her how they deploy. Yeah, I can just wipe off the footprints, but its a little harder for me to fix her back.

I would take a long hard look at the contract before taking it up the :lipsrsealed:

Good point.

Years ago my girlfriend, now wife, had a Mustang with some type of extended warranty. No shit it said in the fine print that if failure of a covered part was determined to be caused by a non covered part then said covered part would no longer be covered. I know...typical of Ford right. As for your extended warranty I hope you are not required to pay any more premiums if they are no longer providing coverage.

The current bill, at the GM dealer is like 5000, they are only paying 4000 of it. I have to pay the 700 dollar differnce inbetween a used tranny that has been "inspected by our people", with no warrenty, or pay the 700 bucks, and get a 3yr/36k mile warrenty thru GM. Plus a radiator that was over the allotted amount for this vehicle.

Anyways, on a previous warrenty visit, I used some 3000 dollars on repairs. So I am at 8000 dollars, or so, in repairs. Per the warrenty book, they will only cover up to the current value of the vehicle. So I am SOL on that one. And since I prepaid...

Its agrivating I will agree. However, the plus side is that I got 8000ish dollars of work, they a GM dealer, for 3500 (initial warrenty cost, plus the overages)

Ask your dealer about the warranty the last SRTA (service replacement transmission assy.) I put in was covered by a 3yr/100k warranty! I know it really doesnt matter because most people don't go 100k in 3 yrs. But that was a 4T60E in an 06 Impala.

Unfortunately the contract is the contract. As long as its in writing, and you agreed to it when you bought the warranty, then not much can be done. At least you got your moneys worth out of it.

Buy a lottery ticket. You are one lucky SOB. Must not have gotten the memo about donuts killing PS pumps.

Pulled the CPAS for a little inspection after cleaning my not-so-dirty throttle body, in hopes I'd find a clue where my codeless sporadic hesitation at idle is coming from. It was squeaky clean, all screens intact, so more digging. Off to pick up some new wiper blades, a bottle of Seafoam, and some other errands for the day

Mine was doing this too. I had done all the normal stuff. Turns out it was my 10k old plugs and wires. I replaced them and other than being down on gas mileage, it purrs like a kitten.

I replaced all my spark plugs last March, when one of my coil packs crapped out and caused a misfire. Starting to think another one might be on it's way out :ugh: Gonna have to wait and see.

That is about when I did mine too. How about your wires? Coils could be the problem too though.

talked to the dealer yeaturday...

looks like it was clamps and lower hose itself... something with clamps in it that had rotted away... dont know what he meant, so i will be going in on Monday to talk about it more, but he said he just replaced everything, not just a clamp... they havent fixed my steering wheel yet... technicians father is doing pretty bad, so he took 3 days off...

Nothing done to any of my GMTs today but i have been surfin on here learning more about the TB specifically. Learned what the "Red wire" by the battery does and found out i could safely use the stud that said "Red wire" connects to for charging trailer batteries could be used for hooking up my accessories like the lights and HID upgrades planned.

Decided to take a look at the dead battery before trying to jump it...GLAD I DID. the sides were bulged out about 1/2 in on every side. The battery was completely frozen from the cold weather. That would definitely not have been a good outcome. Took it back to sears and got a new one. Then I couldnt help myself so I put in Rockford Fosgate tweeters up front... damn mod bug just wont stop :helpme:

Getting ready to change the OE upstream.....

I can't think of how many times I looked at the upstream sensor thinking.... when it's time, I will put my wrench on it.

I can see the 7/8 hex on the sensor but naturally it's tucked in just past flush on the heat shield. Off to Harbor Freight for one of these:

What angles I just happen to have one on the lift right now? However I can't post till I get home .
Dont think they moved it because they all use the 4L60E trans, but I have not had a V8 in for a while.

-Cleared a thermostat code P0128....I know I need to replace the thermostat but I have an OBDII reader in the vehicle at all times and it only comes on once in a while.

- Washed / waxed

- Put in aftermarket thermometer for outside temp

- Located VSS and there are two...will replace it tomorow hopefully as I'll get some lift time... wierd shifting lately/ ABS light speedometer going crazy.. have heard it's the VSS so that's where I'll start. I used a floor jack and jack stand to locate it for now as there are two different types out there according to the pictures

- Check Back Brakes - dragging noise, ordered new rotors and pads so I'll do that tomorrow after the VSS replacement
-Replaced a fog light bulb

A Busy Day all in all but feels good.
