Wow. Literally one thing after another after another after another for you. Good luck tomorrow, I hope they FINALLY get it right! I'd be thinking of trading in and finding another ss. Too many demons in that one. But it is a sick ride man!

the only reason why i still have it... one word... WARRANTY :rotfl:... if i didnt have that... she'd be gone in a heart beat... but i have been looking at C6 Vette's... so the thoughts of trading are already there... my warranty expires here in a month or so... so we'll see what happens...

Took my GMC to the local GMC dealer.

  1. Check Engine Light On
  2. Rear Window wiper not parking, causing the rear XUV gates not to work
  3. Service 4x4 light On
  4. G80 not locking up
  5. Tranny Sliipping

Diagnosis was..

  1. Intake, & Possible Head Gasket
  2. Rear Wiper Motor Gears Stripped Out
  3. Ignition Switch bad
  4. No Problem Found
  5. Tranny Pump Leaking, Front Seal Leaking, Clutch Discs Burned

I am so thankful I bought an extended warrenty, but I hate the VW Beetle they gave me!

Had to adjust my amp a bit. After switching RCAs yesterday, I noticed the bass hits noticeably harder now at lower volumes. Gives a bit more credit to the cables being the issue. May go buy another long set of Monster RCAs to go with the 2 pairs I've got just in case those Knu ones cause issues on the 3/4 channels.

Dude, no, please don't waste your money on Monster cables. Hugely overpriced cables for nothing special.

Good thing you are at the dealership and they really care for you and the truck or you could have all kinds of problems :rotfl::rotfl:

Big Black was at the audio shop all day. Got the 2 green neon tubes in the engine bay replaced with a green LED strip; also a green LED strip in the "pocket" under my head unit; a StreetGlow million color LED underglow kit, in addition to the solid green LED kit I already have; then lastly got 2 Whelen's installed in the rear headliner to match the ones up front. For now all I have is pics of the Whelen's, will post some more pics tomoro.

Got my newly rebuilt instrument cluster back from BBA Reman in Taunton Mass. Cluster is working like brand new. Installed it last night. My Envoy XL has been down since last Sat but it was well worth the wait! Last on the list.....new exhaust pipe. Then the fun begins....swapping the steering wheel for a Denali ebony wood wheel and ordering a OEM Denali XL grill. :wootwoot:

The WeatherTech front and rear passenger area floor mats arrived and got installed. My license tabs arrived and got installed. I removed the 21 days temporary license. Took the TB and the Mrs. to Zero Dark Thirty ... Good flick!

Washed the Trailblazer and put a new radio in the lady friend's Aveo (so much easier than our trucks). Two pieces of trim to pop off, and 4 screws holding the radio in.

Our radios aren't that bad if u get the bottom screw out and leave it out.

Not so much the radio itself that's the problem, but on the Trailblazer the dash surround that goes around the radio, the gauges, and headlight switch is all one big piece. Not the easiest thing to get off with the steering column in the way.

Today I put in a new CPAS. Washed it, cleaned the inside. Tonight I went out to lowes and dinner where my truck would turn on then die. Unplugged the battery and walked to a restaurant to eat. Came back started right up...then died at the stop sign.

That was the big issue - getting the dash over the steering column. Also couldn't get the wiring harness for the rear wiper disconnected, so the dash was even more in the way. Left the dash unscrewed/unbolted last time I had it apart anyway - just used the clips to hold it on. The Aveo also didn't have a gmos(?) adapter to put on either. Just had to connect two wiring harnesses (stereo and vehicle adapter) together.

Ohh wow. Yea my rainier the dash is just. A rectangle around radio with vents after I took bottom screw out it just pops out and back in easily. I see why a pia now

have you ever had a dream where your teeth loose or falling out? its supposed to mean you're worried about losing something important to you or something like that

I read your little comment before going to bed, and subsequently had a dream about my truck having bad body damage, and when I tried to drive it the axles were falling out. when I woke up I thought it was obvious that carltons chiding remarks gave me anxiety before going to bed... some friend you are! i'm very emotional right now!

as far as my plans... 4l80... rwd... and eating ramen noodles for the foreseeable future...

Cleaned the TB and the Jetta yesterday as it was nice 60*, and finished the interior of mine and the wheels on the Jetta. Unfortunately it was about 30* today, and I made the mistake of going out in flip flops and a t-shirt, made me get it done quicker.

 My bad man, if it makes you feel any better, I take it all back!!

And if you go on a Ramen diet, just make sure you don't bring any to the superbowl party, or people might make you watch the game from the patio! :rotfl:
