Starting another Monday. Putting out some smoldering embers, before they turn into fires that ruin my week, then basketball after work.

Backdating this to Saturday. Laid out in 10F weather and replaced yet another unit bearing hub. Good news is that I have this job down to a science. About 1.5 hours start to finish even in feezing conditions with snow blowing all over the place.

Ripped out all the carpet and padding from the bedroom. Totally soaked still even after sucking gallons of water out of it. Now using a dehumidifier, heater, and large fan to try to dry the sub floor out. I just have this bad feeling there is a pond underneath, between the sub floor and the concrete pad :worried:

Oh man. I remember when my uncles house was like that. He had to get his whole basement redone.

wth I know that I don't have hot water at the bathroom right now thanks to the other broken pipe, but I should have cold water. Why is there no cold water at the tub? There is cold water at the sink! Gahhhh

What a way to start off a week!

back at hosp again with the little one, ER this time

I can post a picture I found of Vince Offer in the Anything Goes! section. :rotfl:

As for what I'm doing... sending an emergency email. For whatever reason my shipping state for my part order is listed as Washington, I'm 99% sure it was my mistake. Part's on "special order" status anyway so they should have time to address the issue before it's sent. I wonder if the postal service would throw their hands up or just return to sender if it says the state is WA but the ZIP code is a WV one? :undecided: And the fact there is no town with the same name in Washington lol

Jury Duty.. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, the next day, and the next, and possibly again on Monday, and Tuesday..

Catching up on dvr

Reading around the old site for a chuckle. Apparently the CPAS "pushes on the timing chain guide to advance the exhaust cam." Actual words I just read. Why is there no  smiley?

It is : duh :

:duh:

Went to check my bank account to balance my budget, and noticed I got my tax refund a week ago. Will be heading home for the day in a little bit, and will be icing my left middle finger (jammed during basketball on Monday) it currently resembles a cocktail weenie

Getting excited. My CPAS has shipped (GMPartsDirect says about 7-10 days before shipping, mine shipped in 3-4) and should arrive Friday.

Date Night with the gf

went to the local Harbor Freight that they just built over this past fall and bought a $60 12V battery charger/maintainer/jump start for only $30. couldn't pass that deal up, and I also bought misc electrical connectors, snap ring pliers, zip ties, and a 3/8 ratchet... all for under $50 bucks... call Harbor Freight what you want, but their stuff gets the job done for me. For more heavy duty stuff, that's when I go to my fathers 40 x 40 garage where my brother put all his craftsman/snap on tools at from his previous collision job along with an 85 gallon air compressor. I love air lol.. makes jobs so much easier.

here's a pic of the garage... was changing out a friends pads and rotors back in the summer.

Well with spring coming I was looking to new computers for multimedia Photoshop/Lightroom heavy ram eating programs for Photography. And after seeing what they wanted for these PCs and learning that they are more or less junk I said how hard can it be. I haven been ordering parts and finally got it complete 100% . I built a PC. Easiest thing i have ever done. Its just Lego's and install some CD's, format Hard drives and enjoy. aw yay ebay LEDs with a white dominant UV theme what else would you expect.

Working from home. Big amateur radio contest starts tonight.

Donned my jack of all trades "maintenance" cap at the office and went around changing out light bulbs lol. The darkness was starting to annoy me.

Laying around moping all day due to a sinus infection. I hate being sick.
Well now its not a sinus infection...its the dreaded flu bug. Yay me.

The wife and I have a massage appointment this afternoon. Going to be amazing, we are long overdue.

Chilling with kiddos while the wife works.

Have seen firsthand how it affected my Uncle, but I also got to spend a lot more time with him after his successful treatments. Pulling for you, you'll get through it. Hope you feel better soon!

Reading about what exactly Blackstone does with oil samples. [bobistheoilguy.com]

It's quite interesting.

That's pretty cool, I have never seen that page.

When we analyze hydraulic fluid at work the water contamination is visual, run the bottle in a ultra sonic bath for 30 seconds, shake vigorously for 1 minute, 30 more seconds in the bath then let it sit for 45 seconds. If there is clear liquid at the top we do further checks. If all is good it goes into a PODS spectral analyzer. Basically records ppm based on size, samples run class 0 to class 6. Class 6 is very bad.
