If those are your goals for it then that model should work well - that's pretty much what we use ours for. One of the nicest features is the multi-angle spray head, you just rotate the head to whatever degree spray you want and go to town. There's a soap and a rinse setting as well.

A side note - if you have concrete, you'll be amazed at how clean and white you can get it with a power washer.

That's good to know about the adjustable head and the soap and rinse setting.

2800psi would take car of all the bugs that find my front end in the summer. I believe most car wash have their pressure set to 1200-1500psi.

How long does a tank of gas last you if you are spraying continuously?

I'm not sure exactly, but it seems anywhere between 20-30 minutes if you're going continually. It's not that it sucks down fuel, but that the tank is small. I keep a can of gas sitting near whenever I use it, not so much for washing vehicles, but definitely on bigger jobs like spraying down a deck or the house.

Well, my 4 month old little girl won't let me sleep. It's almost 3am!

Ah I know what your about to go through. Did it when we moved in to our current house, fun stuff... Took me more than one afternoon! But better do it once properly then get annoyed about a rough surface after the new wallpaper is up!

We have floral wallpaper that has to go. She hates it and wants to paint. Her coworkers and friends all want in on tearing it down. So I politely asked for permission to not be here and not have it held against me at a later date.

So by tearing it down asap it forces her to come up with some colors soon.

Everyone who is coming actually wants to do this.

You'd better hope that whoever put the wallpaper up put a layer of sizing down. They might completely destroy those walls and you might come home to walls that need to be completely skim coated with mud.

Ask me how I know this.

We have heard the horror stories. My parents had a scorer for the paper and a steamer. Her aunt does interior decorating and her coworkers have all removed wallpaper in the last year, hence the reason of wanting to help. So the wife decides to invite everyone over asap to get this done.

I've been keeping myself busy with maintenance odds and ends. Previous owners didn't lift a finger. Nice house in a nice neighborhood. Just have to catch up with the Jones's right?

I would rather do it myself and not have anyone mess it up. But, I have a buddy who could use some $$ if I need to mud

Thanks for the warning. I'll drop her a tip.

Still fighting with the front struts. What a pain in the ass for something that should be easy. there is always one side.

Washed the car and doing yardwork.

Oh I'm asking. :rotfl:

And getting ready to remove the alternator and battery on a Dodge Dakota. Fun times.

Finished the kids car. With people stopping by to visit and fighting the struts I won but took to long.
How on to the next project

Caught the off road bug again. Spent most of the work day on ORTB looking at trail rated builds. DANGIT! Only 3 more semesters till I have some cash to spend...

Stuck at work again... sucks getting off at midnight on a saturday night.

And then I got distracted. NOW it's time for bed, I'm going to be groggy at church.

Also, enjoy this link: FLUID for GM |88861046

I know, the description is very ambiguous, and also expensive, isn't it? For just under $1000, you can have yourself a 55-gallon drum of Dexron-VI.

Ordering parts for truck

Watching Canada vs Sweden hockey game, gonna be a good game, then going sledding.....

gotta love free stuff  I got that same flyer in the mail.

As for what I'm doing, after talking with Carlton yesterday, I went to Home Depot to buy the EZ-Lock dremel set to aid in cracking open my headlights to clear the corners. Then it's off to my parents house to spend time with my mother before she goes to the island of Aruba (she was born there and moved to the States when she was 18) to visit her father for the next month.

Hey, it's one thing to pay money and then have something fail. But if it's free, if it fails then who cares? 6 spare screwdrivers could keep you going while you're waiting on your new primary brand replacement to arrive. And they also make a great choice when trying to use a screwdriver as anything other than a screwdriver, if it gets bent oh well.

And thinking on that... why do people laud the "premium" brands when Stanley works just fine for all kinds of scenarios, yet hate Kent-Moore for being "so expensive?" The world may never know... :rotfl:

For my job, cheap tools don't last long typically. Screwdrivers and terminal crimpers especially. Klein or Greenlee screwdrivers are about the best screwdrivers I've seen and they run about $20 each. They're totally worth it to me because the don't bend out strip out after a week of use.

On the otherhand, cheap harbor freight wrenches and sockets seem to do the trick.

Harbor Freight has been perfect for my Garage and all my little odds and ends jobs. Changing brakes, struts, shocks, interior seats, my UCA and drop strut mounts... Ive had no problems at all with the Pittsburgh tools.

Now more heavy duty things, yea not gonna happen with HF tools. Like my brother told me when he was working as an auto collision tech for 15 years, "I'd break that cheap shit in a day with what I do at work"
