At a point you have to make the call before you get buried or are the repairs just a lot of maintenance type issues all at once.

Well I should be getting off to bed, but I was too busy surfing YouTube for a while there.

Ended up watching vehicle tug of wars, and found this one for those who need to complement their vehicle with a superiority complex:

Also, ever notice how in the videos where one guy's vehicle breaks (or sometimes like straight-up disentegrates) everyone's all "OH MY GOD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO (HIS/HER/MY) RIDE!?" Like they don't understand that no matter what badge is on the hood, the engineers have not yet been able to suspend or change the laws and formulas of certain aspects of physics to better suit their redneck needs.

A close second on the freakout list that I love is the people who can't believe X brand pulled their Y brand. There was a video posted around here a while ago, Envoy vs. Dodge I believe. Envoy won, the Dodge had horrible tires. The guy goes "Dat thang ain't pull naw DODGE." Again, as if the very badge on the hood is some certificate of infinite performance, and can (once again) suspend the laws of physics, such as friction/traction.

Trust me, if the "Proudly made by UAW #xxxx" badge on the inside of the door isn't a guarantee that my vehicle will hold together (we've all heard horror stories about this model and that sometimes having manufacturing errors not caused by engineering/design teams), why would a symbol or a few letters adhered to the front be different?

Yeah me too, but not be choice... Been digging through different websites and watching demo videos for Digital Asset Management packages, and dealing with the salespeople that come with it, for a new (to me) project at work. I want nothing to do with this, as I'm not gonna be the one using it, or the boss of anyone who will be.

We've tried to go this route 3 times before, failed miserably, and all of the people who chose the packages are no longer with the company.

The only other consistent action, was after the previous administrator was gone, management came to me with "We have this thing, no one to take care of it, and it doesn't work right, can you figure it out and fix it?"

So now instead of bringing me in at the end, when it's a huge steaming pile of crap, they are shoving me into the fire right off the bat. Joy! :suicide:

Got my hair cut this morning, then changed the full pressure regulator, threw on the pickup wheels so I can get my other ones balanced. Now at work, and have to go the eye doctor to make sure I didn't fsu when I got splashed with fuel.

Hatchet, I am so sorry to hear about your cousins. My most sincere condolences to you and your family - I too have lost family members to an auto accident involving ice. Hang in there, we're all here for you.

Asking the Lord's grace and peace for you and the family during this time of loss, and that He guide with wisdom the hands, minds, and hearts of the medical professionals who are working to save those so horribly injured.

For the last few years, all the deaths have been early in the year for me.

And thank you all for your support. On good news, my other cousin is doing ok. He can move all body parts, he's alive and well. Just a few broken vertabra and some cracked ribs.

I would like to point out that, that while a member of GMTN.com, I actually feel comforted by posts from other members at times. Partly because we all share a common interest and we all share parts of our lives while posting bits and pieces of things that all of us are familiar with. It's good to have an extended family on here. And for that I appreciate all of you. I may not talk a lot about personal stuff, but it feels easier on here.

Now where is Uncle Roadie?

Have a pleasant and productive weekend everyone.

Driving up from SE Michigan to the UP, near Escanaba, MI to see Dwight Yoakum in concert tomorrow (Saturday 1/18/2014) night. Roughly 420 miles one way.

I'm waiting for mine still too. They'll wait until the the day of or day before the deadline before they send them out. It is one of their attempts to push us to get them electronically. Can get electronically around Jan 13th, but I keep forgetting to sign up for it (need to sign up the year before I think).
