Just pulled one retrofitted headlight off the truck after trying to tack the projectors into the reflector bowl with RTV and a moderately tightened lock nut. Took me about 20 minutes to get the damn things level and aligned while on the truck. Let them sit for the remainder of the hour for it to dry. Gonna let it cure until tomorrow afternoon, then take the reflector bowl back out and crank down that lock ring. Repeat this process for the other headlight tomorrow night, and hope it does the trick so I can enjoy my HIDs again during my morning commutes.

Just got done getting my 4th and 5th degree in the York Rite. Now having a beer and looking up the wiring diagram for the fuel pump. Gunna hard wire the fuel pump to the battery tomorrow morning so I can get my truck to SleepyJr's buddy who has dealership tools to find my communication error.

After I take a nap going to replace the FPR and fuel filter depending on the rain. Then we are redoing one of the guest rooms, painting the walls, tearing up the carpet and putting down some linoleum. Going to be the ferret room until further notice.

Hit up Harbor Freight, bought more things I probably didn't need, including a 21 gallon Air Compressor, new impact wrench with 800ft/lb some misc items for the truck. Came home and just finished raking the yard for the last two hours, now I'll probably watch Alexandra while her mom goes off to look for a baby bath, then after that I plan to press in some new bushing on the Trailblazer and make some more progress in the garage. Probably post whore GMT a little.

Helped out a couple people with some necessary computer upgrades (not work related, just extra stuff). I'm going to poke around the housing market a little bit again then play some BF4 later with my brothers.

The same exact thing as my last post, with two exceptions:

-I may go see the house my girl just closed a deal on. Waiting for gas to be turned on and then it's all ready for her to move in.
-I may wander down to Parkersburg. Just had a layoff that cost me about 5 days of pay last month so money's a little tight, but window-shopping never hurt and I could reaaaaaaalllllyyyyy use a torque wrench if I spot one at the right price.

The rain started just at sundown, so wasn't able to get out there and mess with my lights right away, but it's stopped so popped the driver's side in and started fiddling with the alignment.

Got it lined up nicely, the left side is flat, the right side sweeps up a little bit, but that's OK. Just hoping the RTV holds them in place well enough that they don't shift at all when disconnecting the D2S connections, or crank down the lock rings. The passenger side one is still curing from yesterday, I might test that one in the morning and see if things stayed put.

Church, shopping, church, now home typing this up.

Found that torque wrench for the right price, $10 for a 1/2" drive at Harbor Freight. I'm a casual, so it's not super-important to me to have a super-duper high-quality one since it wouldn't get a whole ton of use.

While I was there, got 8" long-nose (this is why I don't like to loan tools, my 6" are still missing), and a hammer (missing, same loan). Now if only I could find my snub-nose pliers, pretty sure they're buried somewhere in the roommate's room... :hissyfit:

Add that to last night's bounty of a 4" C-Clamp (they have their uses) and a retrieval kit which I was in dire need of... my set is coming along okay.

Remember Captain when dealing with people in general, aim low so you will not be disappointed

Used to be in the service business, and yes this is precisely what you must do. But you don't just aim low. You aim about three feet underground, minimum. Every time you set the bar lower, you get an even bigger idiot your way, it seems.

Envoy_04 - look at the bright side, when you're working a job that you know when you'll be getting off work, and making twice as much as me, you'll be thinking how big of a kick you'd plant in your own hind end if you hadn't started college. I want to go, just can't line everything up, so high school diploma requirement jobs it is for me.

As for myself, staying up a bit later than usual perhaps, 3 1/2 delay on my clock-in time tomorrow :smile:biggrin: on time, :hissyfit: on paycheck)

So I dug all my gas receipts out of the console today with big plans to get them all entered and caught up on Fuelly.com, and realized they go back to mid July and I've put ~ 18000 km on it since then

Then I decided to procrastinate about it jusssssst a bit more, and come here and post about it. Someone pray for me

*Edit - all receipts representing about 1/3 of my total mileage/ownership duration have been entered. I SWEAR I'm gonna do them by SMS text every time from now on cuz that was a PITA!

Reading yet another new forum and at work... And, that is in between fixing the Trailblazer (think I'm about to stick FORD labels on it -- Fix Or Repair Daily). In the past 3 months, I've replaced the rack and pinion 3 times (faulty rebuilt parts) the steering hoses, the cam actuator, the right front unit bearing hub (3rd time), replaced the serpentine belt, dealt with the sync issues between stepper motor and throttle pedal (almost every day temps are below zero), and yet to go are the probable replacement of the rusted-out fuel pump (can smell it), replacement of the other side unit bearing hub, replacement of the torque converter, new spark plugs, new ignition switch, new rear wiper arm (switch and arm are both waiting at home until I have some time when it is not snowing and blowing), and also need to service the transmission fluid, install a new seal on the left side differential (where axle inserts), and change T-case oil.
