Chasing HVAC gremlins in the house. Got woke up to "you need to check the air conditioner, it's hot and I smell smoke"

Looks like the heating coils turned on by themselves when it was in "cool" mode.

Turned breakers off and let it cool down then took some panels loose and eyeballed the wires and didn't see anything out of place. Turned breakers back on and now waiting to see if it gets hot again.

It was so hot I could've probably baked a cake in the little closet it sits in.

Sounds like a flaky relay to me.

I worked, then sat around while waiting for our "milkman" took his time messing with the welder, then worked a little more. Should have been out an hour before.

Listening to music. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra did a "symphonic poem" based off the music of Final Fantasy VI (originally released in the U.S. as Final Fantasy III). I played it as a kid, and the music's always stuck with me, glad to see it's stuck with enough people to warrant a wonderful performance like this. I think Nobuo Uematsu revolutionized game music beyond "just being a feature" by making something that can be felt. I just had to have it, so last night I purchased the album and have been listening to it on the Bose pretty much non-stop.

Obligatory video for those interested.

??? Sorry to hear mate. We had our sump pump let go about this time 2 years ago and "flooded" the basement. Fortunately only 1/2 was finished with walls and carpet but insurance still took a hit for the cleanup and new carpet.

Initial adjustment looks ok, but still need personal property info. The basement was finished and will be again. Just a pain in the rump.

At work, looking over the insurance quote and doing a little real work as well.

That sucks. At least we got to pocket the money and get the work done ourselves with more than enough left over to paint a different colour.

Thumbed through the 9-7x's Wikipedia page. On there, it claims the Bose sound system puts out 275 watts. There's no source cited, it seems odd that someone knows the output when Bose is famous for not publishing that detail.

So now the hunt for information begins.

Nice relaxing day at work, then a good quality session with my track athletes. Had a good personal workout after too. After chilling with the pups for awhile I headed out to watch our boys basketball team play in regionals for a potential chance at states. Sadly, they lost tonight, such a really great group of kids; senior heavy.

Hump day in the cube... err office, I should say. Construction is humming along for the most part, they have been putting the drywall up. They have a few more sections to go, then the drywall finishers come in to get things ready for paint. Even though when I talked to one of the contractors, he said they use a low odor paint formulated for offices so it wouldn't bother people that have to work, I asked my boss if I could work from home (free day off) the day they come to paint, and she said yes before I even got to the 2nd stage of reasoning. Nice!!

Couple pics, CEO's office, the gap on the left is where he will have a huge glass wall wrapping around.

2 of the other owners' offices, I am still occupying the one on the left.

They just put up the drywall on one of the managers' offices next to where my new cube will be. Once they get it painted, they will build my stuff and I can move in. I will have windows, which is good AND bad. I've heard that it gets pretty hot in the late mornings when the sun clears the tree line behind our office and beats on the back of the building so I should bring a table fan or I'll sweat. Grain of salt, the few people that made the latter recommendation had plenty of natural thermal insulation on their bodies, to put it nicely. My issue is I'm usually cold in here, and there's an AC vent directly over where my chair will be , so hopefully it will be a wash.

Just got back from loading a friends sled in my trailer. I managed to find snowmobile trails 3.5 hours away that are still open and good to excellent conditions. So I booked a cabin in the Haliburton Forest for the weekend. 80,000 acres of forest and over 50 lakes in the private park, 200 miles of groomed trails. 4 of us are going up for our last ride/party this season. Spring condition trip is good cuz after a day of riding the weather is good enough for a BBQ and beers outside. I hope work goes by quick tomorrow!

Working then running some errands. Need to hit up Walmart and pick 14 qts of Mobil1 oil for the TB and F150. I wish Walmart would start selling Mobil1 oil filters, save time from going to Advance Auto. Also some new wiper blades since Spring is here. Hitting the grocery after that.
