Getting my last few hours of work in for the week, then it will be home to clean out the 870 and go do some scouting around the area for some huntable open puddles

Trying to figure out when I will get the new UBJs, tie rod ends and brakes in that Rockauto sent me in two days. Thanks RockAuto. Now I just need a day off to get it done. Wrenching in freezing weather is not fun anymore if it ever was.

After getting nowhere with the USPS via phone regarding my botched SSD delivery on Monday, I submitted a complaint on Tuesday through their website, which said I would be contacted in 48 hours (yesterday) that went unanswered. After seeing Andrew's post about the Ebay seller taking care of him when they could have threw up their hands, I decided to contact NewEgg about it and see what they say.

Had a decent chat with a rep named Susan, who asked me some oddball questions at times, but filed a Lost Package claim with the USPS on my behalf. Got me a nice official email confirmation with all the pertinent info in it, and she said it can take 4-7 days to get resolved. As discussed in a couple of the threads this week, I'm very likely screwed since I can't prove any of it. But hopefully since it wasn't necessarily a big ticket item, and I've been a customer of theirs for over a decade, I can get a free replacement.

Oddly enough, the computer I bought this drive to go in, is probably cursed. Last year I bought an OCZ SSD for it, and it went bad after a month. RMA'd it with OCZ and they sent me a replacement that was DOA. RMA'd that one, and the replacement that showed up had issues that prevented me from formatting it. Since I had to pay return shipping each time, it was not cost effective to keep shipping bad drives back.

Ocz is complete garbage. They seemed to be good several years ago but I had nothing but trouble out of the components and threw them in them trash.

I ended up getting them from one of those daily deals emails I get. Grabbed 2, one for my main PC, the other for my HTPC. The one in my main PC has ran like a champ. The other 3 I got... :ugh: The one I tried to get this time around was a SanDisk. I've noticed some small Windows quirks lately that are pointing to a windows reinstall in the not too distant future. Right clicking on a drive letter causes Explorer to crash  So figure might as well get a new (faster) boot drive in the process. I'm also super spoiled by the boot times of my PC and laptop. I don't have to reboot my HTPC often, but when I do, I get crazy impatient.

Enjoyed a nice thanksgiving dinner with the wife's family. Amazing weather here in Florida. I am definitely jealous Carlton

Tomorrow morning we are headed to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels and Florida Gators game. Brother in law scored some awesome tickets on the 50 yard line. Game is being aired on the SEC Network :2thumbsup:

Yeah, when my friends back in Chicago try to talk me into moving back, I just SALTS. The summers are just as hot there as here, but the cold months are nice and mild.

Tonight, other than making projector brackets, helping Carlos move some of his stuff in. All the big stuff comes in tomorrow. Sounds like we're short on healthy and able hands, so it's going to be a long day. I will be celebrating with vodka and Nyquil when we're done. :stars:

Well, we finally got Carlos all moved in, and the rest of his stuff put into storage. After he gets settled in, I'll try to get him to be more active on the forum since he'll have more free time on his hands.

Came home to an email from the USPS and a voicemail from them as well. They didn't help me by phone, or respond to the ticket I submitted on their website, but the complaint filed by NewEgg seemed to light a fire under somebody's ass. So I'll be calling them Monday morning. Hopefully the driver just forgot to put the key in my box, and I'll get my SSD.

Carlton
If the package could not fit in your box, she would have put in a parcel locker and put a key in your mailbox. If you did not get a key please call us Monday morning. Please ask for Liz and tell her it is route 27.

Drinking a few Bud's and browsing on the laptop. Was just over on the other site, as a guest since I'm "no Longer with them", lol, Thought I'd report a few more images over there, just looking for random threads with pictures and hitting the report image button. Probably keeps mods/admins busy verifying if the images are okay to be posted in the thread :rotfl: .

I hope I'm wasting someone's time over there :undecided:

Watching a little football, only good thing about Bucs vs Bears is that ONE of them is guaranteed to get a W...

Cleared the DVR some this morning, and used my Dremel to spread reflector bowl dust all over my patio

Back to normal for me as well. Vacation is up at my other job so I'm back to working 16 hours a day between both jobs.

Happy to not be at work. Waiting on the window repair guy to finish things up. 1 bedroom window fixed, 2 cracked living room window panes to go. Clearing out the DVR in the meantime, and wondering what I wanna stuff my face with for dinner. :undecided:

Just let it happen. Its on FB, so the world will know in no time.

Relaxing and unpacking after traveling all morning/afternoon. Arrived in Baltimore and you never would have known we left Florida since it was 72°. Thats until I seen we are suppose to get 6"-10" of snow on Wednesday
