A fine specimen, indeed. This is the well-known, but rarely-seen, fully-evolved BROTRUCK. And you know, parked in a handicap spot with no handicap permit shown, because their back must be hurting from having to carry all those skulls outta Wal-Mart.

Now, can we burn it?

Hope I don't offend anyone with this post. And if I did, ....

The less they're wearing the more they can stick around my car.

There's a line on DIY. I took a detour home from work and waved this guy on. He must have seen me trying to take a pic or in a hurry to get his kid to school! I tried to get a close up. Tie down ratchet strap.

Dang that is dropped right to the floor. Probably hydraulics to lift it to travel. Too bad - nice old truck.

They don't stick to the car - they're oiled up and ready. Just don't ask me what they're ready for, ok?

I like it. Some serious work in those rides that low. Gotta respect someone making a truck their own.

While I'm not a lowered-person myself, I can appreciate the idea. Just not in this vehicle. This is not something that was meant to be lowered :rotfl:

A C10 is probably one of my favorite lowered vehicles. Slammed that low is beautiful. I have always been a lowered truck guy, the TB is the first one I have lifted. Probably wont be my last either.

Then try this mod:

This is the guy's personal vehicle. I have no idea why he would have this painted on, except for extreme compensation issues.

This is what happens when Vertical Scope starts expanding into selecting advertising to put on vehicles.

Oddly not the first Fox body I've seen to have an air horn equipped for whatever reason. Maybe to try making up for the lack of people looking at arguably the lamest-looking Mustang ever made.

Have a horribly-aged "Scion tC."

That is a mandatory mod if you have a diesel truck
Question; does rain accumulate in the exhaust system? I've seen some straight cut-offs and don't see anyway that it can be avoided.

That is a good question. I use to see some guys in high school put small tarps over the exhaust pipes when they knew it was going to rain. I have seen others with a hinged cover like you would see on a semi truck. Maybe the exhaust gets hot enough to evaporate the water :undecided:

I see some of all three kinds. The rain caps (hinged cover), the ones with the curve on the end to help mitigate this issue, and the straight-up stack. In a runtime scenario during the rain, given there is still sufficient pressure in a stupid 39047329048 inch-wide pipe it'd keep the rain out, or maybe it'd go in, hit the elbow and evaporate. In sitting scenarios, they may have a hole drilled in the bottom of the elbow or something to help drain that out. You won't see the hole since it's under the vehicle generally.

Yeah drilling a small hole at the bottom would be another option to save from the hassel of trying to cover the pipes with tarps. I still think the hinged covers would be the best option or better yet, keep the exhaust stock :undecided:

Longtime vertical exhaust guy here, just not on vehicles. On tractors, yes, the rain does indeed get in the straight cutoff stacks and there are a few ways to keep water out. One is a small hole at the bottom of the stack, this way is prone to rust out or rust closure of the hole. Another method is to have the rain flaps. I personally like these, plus at idle, since of course the hinge has to be loose for the cap to open and close, you get the pleasant jingle of the cap moving up and down. Lastly you've got the hillbilly method of finding a 3lb coffee can, or if you've got smaller stacks, a soup can, and cutting one end out. Most cans obviously are already this way, if not you should use up the coffee or eat the soup :rotfl:. After the end is cut out you simply place the can over the stack when parked for long periods or when you think it'll rain.

I just threw up a little in my mouth. It would have looked better if all of it were one color or maybe black with some dark grey.

Crap. Couldn't contain it. I just threw up.

I had a fox body. It had OMG horsepower (677 at the wheel). It was a LX 5.0 and it looked just about stock except for tire width and size of the exhaust.

I've seen the coffee-can-on-a-tractor method. Goes good on the old ones that use glass jars for the air intake.

Coffee cans.

On the older tractors you leave them in cab so when you park it in the field for the night (which can be often) you can cover them up.

It is usually kept in a barn or garage.

I guess as long as you have either a drain hole or anything to cover the exhaust, it does not matter. I am sure the guys that cut up a perfectly good truck bed to have stacks is not even thinking about that.

Dmanns, didn't find pics of the can over the exhaust, but I did find another one.

Only the richest of hillbillies can afford their very own private Red-tailed Hawk to protect their exhaust from the elements.
