Aren't the SS calipers the same? Mine came with them but could not find a reason to use em.

I'm not sure about the rear calipers, but the front on the SS are made of iron and don't flex.

Replaced the radiator today! So, the cooling system should be good for a while. In a week, it has had radiator, thermostat and ECT replaced. Was also finally able to drive it after the motor mount replacement. Holy cow!! What a difference!!!

My plans were to run a couple errands, eat lunch and then wash my truck.

I picked up lunch, and as I was driving home, I noticed there were some guys set up doing a car wash for charity.

I let them wash my truck. And, I have to say, eating my lunch and listening to good tunes on the radio inside my truck while three hot young men washed my truck was pretty awesome.

Got the new shocks today. Rears were on within 30 min of coming off the brown truck! Makes it rock a lot less when hitting bumps. Fronts will be done next weekend with some help from the dad. Please excuse the can. Trying to get the dad to let me cut it off. Sway bar and new bushings may be in the future. Engine mounts are next just need to find somewhere with a good price.

I had to kick the living snot out of Phantom(The truck) today. I'm still having the intermittent memory seat issue. I think trying to convince Mat to get a new DDM is more frustrating though lol. He says it's loose wires, I say it's a junky DDM which as I have been told frequently croaks.

Maybe a tad bit of help either convincing him to get a new one or used one would be nice  Or at least some convincing to get him to tape the living shit out of the wires if they are loose.

Pretty Please

Nice, the backs are an improvement but the fronts are AWESOME. Best money I've spent on the truck, drives better than new, so much more fun to drive. Enjoy!

Tried a can of BG Quick Clean to see if it does anything for my occasional cold-start tick. Haven't heard it in a while but it's getting colder so we shall see. Never a fan of engine cleaners but I trust BG products.

Refilled with some M1 and I did this change after the 44K treatment, seems to be the consensus to change the oil shortly after the 44K.

Been 1 tank after the 44K and idling in gear has zero bumps or occasional misses in the motor.....smooth a silk. This stuff is magical.

I removed a couple of spots of pine tar off the hood. Sorry, no pictures.

Next step...cover/fill-in some small paint chips - got the Scratch Fix 2 in 1 Duplicolor ready to go for this weekend.

I think you have far more powerful persuasion than we ever will, just tell him you'll give him something extra special.

Had a busy morning, went to a local shop for a dyno tune. Before was 198hp and 183ft-lbs, After is 217hp and 209ft-lbs. Lots more responsive!!!

Also got some new rubber. Went from TOYO Open Country 265/65/17 to BFG Rugged Terrain T/A 265/70/17.

Never have measured the fender height so I went out and did that....Rear is 37 3/4" and Front is 36 1/2"

Replaced the serpentine belt and had to reglue the camshaft position sensor. It's been glued before proballu because of the adventures its had with other cars.

Same. Got it cleaned up, lost a little more paint over wheel well  and bought oil/filter for it. I'm about almost 2k miles away from my previous intervals but the light kicked on already. It might have something to do with the higher summer temps we had.
...along with being a little harder on the go pedal

Just need to find a good spot to do the change. Gravel isn't fun at all  Might do it Saturday morning at my parents' place since they have a concrete drive.

Been a busy couple of days! to my astonishment I found 4 of 6 wheel studs sheered clean off  so I fixed those up. No idea of how this happened, my only guess is over/under tightening. Changed the fuel filter on Tuesday as well as front and back differential fluids and threw in a couple chrome interior handles in the front that I got from the junkyard for $5 to replace the black textured plastic ones. Did oil today with Mobil 1 and seafoamed it.

Climbed onto the patio (it sits on the ground surface so it is raised about 4-ish inches), changed the oil, and cranked down the loose driver side endlink (again). My neighbors probably thought I was crazy when I first parked it on there :rotfl:
