is that an aftermarket warranty then? because your 5yr/100k mile powertrain warranty is expired... i have my GMPP through January 2013 or 62k miles... and obviously i'll hit the year before miles... so whatever is wrong is being covered... but im afraid that this is the last draw for her :sadcry:

Installed my new Strongarm support struts for my liftgate. Yay I can use it again without it falling and bashing me on the head! I didn't realize how weak the old ones were even when they were working, and it makes me think that perhaps I should get new ones on my Camaro also, as they are rather wimpy. I also found that my liftgate is rusty around the strut mount on the right side. Yet another good reason why I'm replacing the whole darned thing.

The friend girl has been giving me the stink eye since I did the mild lift.... She had difficulty with it at stock height, even more so post. Being 5'1" doesn't help much I guess :raspberry:

So.... nerf bars went on.

Pardon the sh***y cell phone pic, CM9 doesn't fully support me phone (yet)

I put 1 gallon of gas in the TB to get home. Why? Well, I'm glad you axed. I'm replacing the fuel pump tomorrow and don't want the tank to be heavy. The tank should weigh about 4lbs now, right?

You need to get Juan to drink the apple pie then make the offer :rotfl:

What did I do? I ordered a rear wiper blade for Short Bus (I know it calls for 16", but a 17" blade will fit, I have one now)

Well i miss boost too much from my old 300zxtt ...so I have decided that I will be attempting to re turbo the voy (the correct way this time) and I need to start saving up and researching my ass off to see how i can get this done and have it work consistently. Twin scoll is in store i am sure. ETA summer 2013.

Not interested in doing a House of Boost centrifugal style supercharger? I know a guy on TBSS owners built his own turbo kit, welded all the pipes himself if you were looking to do something like that.

Well i prefer turbo over supercharger especially on the i6 it will take some work but will be a hell of a fun time doing it. I plan on welding it my self too. Do you have his username by any chance? Twin scroll should allow less lag also especially compared to sts turbo kits

I believe it was gn2beatu, his thread ended up over 100 pages and people gave him major flak because he was going cheap on some things. Everyone expected the motor to go kaboom.

That's for a 6.0 though. Now that you mention i6, I remember reading a guy who took an i6 and put it in a car. I think it might of went in a 240? But he swapped the i6 and turbo'd it. Lemme see if I can find it again.

Now I am not sure how much it cost to do your own turbo, but have you ever just considered a hennessey performance or a Dinan performance package or something like that? My uncle when he had a bmw 335i sent it in for a dinan performance to be put on and he got another 100hp out of the car, got the governor taken off and with a twin turbo he had on it, it was one bad ass car with some speed for sure!

Hennessey Performance | High Performance Upgrades, Parts & Accessories | Camaro SS, ZL1, F-150 Raptor, Corvette, CTS-V, Challenger SRT8, Jeep SRT8, GT-R

Performing Imports | Dinan High Performance

Also any SS guys on here looking for some serious speed this can kick it up a lot! But expensive lol

edit: never mind looks like Dinan is only for BMWs lol my bad!!

The Hennessy kits probably run in the 10k range. Supercharger is around 5-6k, catback exhaust is another 1k, heads can be 1-3k.

If he did the turbo kit himself, it would probably be in the 5k range.
