Ok speaking of that mod, I'm getting annoyed of the panels I have from a member on the OS, some rows flash because his soldering wasn't the best. What size panels will fit in an 08 with the lights in the center? I'm assuming these ones won't, will the 36 led panels fit? Nice mod btw lol

If you have stock tails, you'll need bulbs, not panels.

Edit: If your talking about dome/map lights yes 36 LED panels work, that's what I have. I have 2 of them in the cargo light. I think the 42 LED panels should fit also.

That is one clean engine bay  Where did you get the cleaner from and what did you have to cover up when spraying with water?

Used simple green to clean the engine. Only covered up the alternator. After it dried, used the CD-2 and sprayed everthing but the belts. I got it an autozone, its in the section with the engine cleaners, not the car wash stuff.

Well today I got in a few things I ordered, as much as I like Carltons thread on The Avalanche led 3rd brake light. I just didnt feel good with cuting open and painting the reflector, so I ordered some RedStop Taillight vinyl and decided to see how it would turn out.
View attachment 20560

Here is the result although I rushed it at first and had to do it once more I think it turned out ok. Just a couple of tiny air holes (3) and have plenty to touch it up if need be in the future.
View attachment 20561

Some emblems I got in today also ( Big Transformers Fan ) lol but might just use 1 of them for the rear hatch door somewhere :undecided:

Went ahead and removed roof racks using Ford trim clips and RTV sealant to fill the holes. Also removed the rear glass door handle. Used stainless 5/16" x 1" carriage bolts painted black with neoprene washers. Need to get 5/16" x 3/4" though next time I'm at the hardware store. The 1" is just a little too long and hits the plastic surround around the latch. It works for now. Now out to wash and wax after lunch.

Another idea for making the lens red if you don't want to mess with film is VHT makes a red tint spray as well as the black.

If you don't mind, what's the p/n for the male connector?

Holy shit those are nice. Black out the headlights and handles and man...... looks good!!

The next time I see you please remind me to smack some sense into you.

I rotated my tires, replaced the starter, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the thermostat, replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, and replaced the serpentine belt.

Is this going to plug into the trailer connector or splice into the wires? Splice I can handle, but can't go without the connector.

Used bedliner to paint the rear bumper plastic and doing the other trim as I have time. Also replaced the rear swaybar endlinks.

It was Rustoleum I believe. I just scuffed it up with a "medium" sanding pad (probably about 150 grit or so) and washed/scrubbed with TSP. I used 2 coats, about 2 min apart, as the directions say.

I tested it on a small area first, which shows the difference:
