Removed front plate and filled holes with plugs from Lowe's. Just gotta color match them now!

Care to take a pic of where those lights are located? I read you slotted the installs. They look like they'd make great puddle / perimeter lights to come on with the interior lights. Thinking I could install, at about 10 & 2 o'clock positions in wheel wells and angled toward road.

Got so many ideas again and no cash-ola.
 
Installed a Steering angle Sensor in my TB this morning, not near as tough as I expected it to be. Took it for a ride, maybe 10 miles around town. No more Traction Control light on the dash board, hopefully that cured it.

Got to order the driver's side heat blend actuator now, can't get the heat to shut off on my side. Almost 100k miles and 7 years old, I guess the nickel and diming has begun, better than a payment book though.

Started to get that Swamper sound the last few days, so I ordered two Timken hubs from RA . At 90K I'm pretty sure that is the source of the rumbling...Mike.
 
Sounds likely, Mike. Mine both started that sound within weeks of each other at 145,000 km, which is very close to your 90,000 mi. I had them replaced at the same time as an UBJ and lift install, so the labour cost was spread between several items, keeping it down a bit. It's sure nice to have it all nice and quiet and tight again. :smile:
 
Got a nice new remote starter.
 
Replaced the drivers seat plastic and replaced a dome light that I broke the clip on during the LED swap.

Curious about the European tail lights... Why is only one side having a reverse light?

Got the morimoto xb's installed, they are way brighter than the other "premium" bulbs I had. Very nice :)
 
He can correct me if I'm wrong, but in Europe I believe it is required to have rear facing red fog lights. So for the exports they used one reverse light socket as that fog light.

I think they should have just used the red reflectors for those fogs (I've even toyed with the idea of putting LEDs behind mine) but whatever.

Over the weekend, I had finally had enough of the sagging I noticed on the passenger side of my 9-7x, it started to affect steering even.
Left to to right was a -2" difference in ride height, crazy. Took the time to adjust the sensors for the air bags, and presto! Level all the way around.
What a difference. To anyone with a lean or sagging suspension on the air bags, take the time to do this. Easy to do and makes a big difference.
 
Took Tempie, 10 week old blue merle sheltie, and dropped off my trailer in the barn at the other house. Its dirty, but the grass really needs cut and I have to be busy tonight. Also need to get mower gas. Here's the puppy.

Replaced my ignition switch

I've had my Envoy about 4 months now and all this time the start position required an extra bit of force to operate the starter, sometimes with a few second delay. This morning I had to hard twist it and nothing. A second time and it started. Drove straight to the dealer and bought a new switch. 40 minutes later like new.

While I had the bezel trim off I thought I'd check out the dim spot on the speedo, about the 25 MPH mark. Discovered the bulbs are not "servicable". I didn't want to pull the needles off the gauges. I've got an instrument shop close by I'll drop it off one day for repair. That I my half dozen other switch bulbs that don't work.

Changed the oil. It was still brown after 8604 miles. Could have left it in a little longer but it made me feel better being changed.

Yesterday it hauled 850 lbs of scrap for me and paid me a few bucks back on the HVAC switch. Then got some mud on the tires, dash, windshield dropping the trailer back off via the back way through the woods at dad's
 
Had her back to the dealer to re-do the front end alignment as the temporary techician f@#$ked it up the first time. Got the regular guy back who fixed it all up for me at no charge, Steering wheel was at 11:00 o'clock and wandering all over the road, thery threw in a free oil change and wash.

Finally got around to replacing the rear stabilizer bar links last night. But they didn't come out without a fight!
