Omaha Orange, Chevrolet Orange, Hugger Orange..... Whatever folks decide to call it, I like it!!!! Looks right at home on a straight six, especially given the closeness in displacement of the 4.2 to the legendary 250.

I thought so. I wish I could paint the whole block, but hopefully I don't have the opportunity to if you know what I mean.

Finally took my snowboard out of the Thule rack and removed my daughter's snowboard and gear out of the back from our snowboarding outing last week that ended with her getting a ride to the hospital in an ambulance. No breaks just bruising...

Topped up the PS fluid, determined that the thermostat is not closing all the way. Still gets good heat but at speeds over 40MPH and flooring it will DROP the coolant temp by 50* according to the gauge after about 30 seconds.

Went to the dealer today. DDM recall, front end alignment and new tire pressure sensor in the right rear wheel. Filled up the gas tank at 1.89 a gallon. Finished up with a trip to the car wash. A months worth of Michigan road salt had her looking pretty ugly.

Looks like another load resistor bit the dust...drivers side started hyper flashing for no apparent reason. Ordered another two.

WV state inspection. The 2015 stickers were silver, matched my paint really nicely and hardly showed up in the corner of the windshield. The new 2016 stickers are purple.

Yesterday I got the blower working on 5 again (after 6 years). Decided to clamp the oem blower (184k) and it quickly climbed to 26 so I aborted the test. I put the meter on peak to snap the pic. Popped in a new unit she got to 21 amps. Normally I see 19 to 20 so I'm fittin to let it ride.

Put a license plate bracket on the front of the Envoy XUV off my 02 F250 that I traded in on a 10 F150. Looks pretty much factory. Just have to decide if I am going to keep the Harley-Davidson plate or put a different one on it.

I brought the Tahoe in to take care of some unfinished business. When we got the Tahoe it only came with one fob that was for driver 2. The r/s system only works on driver 1 so had to do some reconfiguring.

Reprogrammed the oem fob to driver 1.
Programmed the replacement r/s key fob.

So now whatever she does with either fob will be driver 1 which is cool. All I have to do is press 2 for lean back mode when I drive it.

Meanwhile I looked into the autolights. Autolights on that thing are like ours where key on fires up low beams (hid in this case), key to crank kills them and key back to run fires them again. A 180 ohm resistor brought the signal down to 1.8v which fooled the bcm into thinking it is daylight. Might come back tonight and get it done.
